Can anyone translate? I've used online translators but most of the message is just a mess like you always get with them. It seems to say that damage will be added to arcade mode, but there's more info listed that I can't make out with an online translator.

So heres my translation, hope my English is good enough ;)

So 1 December 2010 there will be a new patch. Enables car-damage in Arcade-Mode. Enables mechanical damage (steering problems, engine problems etc.) in GT Mode. After installing the patch you can choose, if you want to have mechanical damage or not. No fix for the "shadow-problem". Kaz said that they can't fix problems with the 3D-Engine by patch, we have to live with the shadows... Overall-Perfomance is going to be fixed and the framerat. More patches will be coming around christmas.

I think after waiting this long and this much hype is more of why it feels like a letdown to me. Maybe I was expecting too much.

It has an arcade mode for whom he doesn't want time consuming procedures. Try it out. You may like it! 👍

- New patch coming Dec. 1st, which will enable damage in Arcade Mode.
- Damage model is currently enabled from Level 20
- Damage model upgrade will be included that will let car veer right or left, if there is damage to the front wheels.
- possibility to turn on/off engine damage and total loss.
- framerate performance should be better
- will not be the only patch until Christmas

Fixed for you, you need to right click on the image and copy the image location (.jpg)...very nice but you may want to post it in the photomode section here > https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=229

Is it all within GT5 or have you processed it on your PC?

Hi,
For those Canadians with the game, what does the disc art look like? my blu-ray disc art is the same as the cover...a red merc gullwing. I thought all discs were supposed to be showing the large off-center wheel?

Ah awesome, Thank you :)

Everything was taken on GT5, just put it into photoshop to lighten it up a touch. I took the pic a little too dark haha, other than that, it's all GT's doing :D
 
Sorry if already posted. Eurogamer are reporting a patch for this saturday to fix online issues. Sony setup a data centre for 500,000 connections and this has been vastly exceeded. They have now doubled that to 1m

This is not great news... it means we will fix the numerous bugs but nothing more... I'm afraid.

I think that it is great news. Kaz mentions that they're going to be adding regulations to the online mode, which is what people have been asking for. So it's not specifically for bug fixes. This is how you want developers to act though. You want them constantly working to release patches and fixes for their game as quickly as they can. And PD seems to be doing just that.

So wait. PD is a subsidiary of Sony Computers.GT series is a flag ship game for Playstation.
PD must have been involved with the TECH of the PS3 from very long ago years ago (GT-P) and they did't think that needed to re-work the 3d engine? from the time SONY announced the PS3 ?

And they never noticed those Shadows before ? OH we need to wait for GT6 ?
I like PD/SONY but I don't like when company's try to feed us 🤬

Good game anyway.

Haha i knew it.

GT5 is like GT5 Prologue ! It will evolve as we play it with constant updates :). This time more restrictions next time host only car start race :). In december GT.com and Bspec over internet. When GT academy reach there will be leaderboards (critical for GT academy)

Do you remember how much GT5Prologue matured in therms of online with every spec upgrade ? :) ?

If he can easly add feature like this over few days from scratch so he can add new things almost every week :)

So people complain and this game will be better every week.

I remembered Kaz wanted to GT5 be a platform not a game itself.

Hope Kaz will include something like spec II update when he added like 20-30 cars to the game.

Looks like Kaz is on the ball, the team are really listening to the fans, I doubt Kaz wanted to release the game in it's current state, but over the coming months I think this game will shape up to be everything we hoped... looks like IGN jumped the gun on their review!

I fully agree, for one he's a perfectionist, and while it's not perfect now (just bloody good) he'll be wanting to fix what he can/wants to fix and two, listening to feedback, and more iteration.

Will be playing this until PS4 arrives, no doubt. (along with a bit of DiRT3) :)

I'm on Level 7, but spent a few good hours last night just driving around on a few tracks - I'm in no rush to complete the game, but dam its good!!!!!

I hope by update they mean DLC, cause that would be a great way to extend the life of this amazing game, even though its stupidly big!! DLC Forza 3 style with different car packs and bits please.
 
Ok so im new here but...i got my copy yesterday

I installed the patch then i started the install it stopped moving at 13mins to go i waited 2 hours it did not budge so i restored my ps3 and tried again same thing happened

next i tried to just skip install and the patch and just play offline.....well i got as far as the main menu but when i try to select arcade or anything else it goes the the gt symbol and doesnt load and i waited and hour and a half....

so i restored my ps3 again! and i instaled the patch went offline and skipped the install got to the menu the music played for a second or two then it froze and wouldnt let me select anything

So i restored again before i went to sleep installed patch then went ahead and started to install the game watched it load to 13mins left it was about 1/4 the way there..went to bed 8 hours later gues what it had not moved....

is it my ps3 i have no problem with anyother games im really starting to get pissed off

Level 12 on first stint. Then just went at it for the fun of driving rwd on gravel for a couple hours :D

For what has surfaced today, this stuff will be patching for bug fixing, and adding missing or new features. Not tracks and cars... unfortunately :/

Anyway, even if we get new cars/tracks, one by one or anyway they feel right is good for me. No need for "Forza 3 style DLC" because this is not Forza.
 
Does someone know what is the cool/hott meter in the driver on b-spec mode or what does it do?
