Damn those standard cars suck :( I was the one that was saying, the standards are ok and an addition to the game... But most of them are not...

Seems like Kaz can´t let them go... But the time comes, you must let your child go...

The question is, will they implement those standards in GT6 (on PS4?) too?

I think it would be worse if they turn the standards into premium and add no other new and exciting cars... Most premiums (at least 100) are really BS... Even though most people here are happy about those (feeled) 150 japanese premiums, I´m not...
 
The ****ing minolta is utter crap, what the hell, any slight bit of power when turning and its gone could somebody help? WHAT THE HELL, its a bloody race car and I can put a 430 round the track quicker? what kind of crapola is that?
 
Can you unlock cars for multiplayer, or are you stuck with the arcade only ones and your favourites...I like GT4 where when you bought the car in Career mode it unlocked in 2-player.

Bro, learn the car. Watch your driving line, it must be super wide so your steering input is minimal, much like F1 cars but more powerful and less forgiving.

Throttle input in cornering is extremely minimal to non-existant, and input on exiting the corner must be done progressively and smoothly. gluck.

I am assuming we can't. Some reason that option (point to point) was taken away.

So if I've understood it correctly you
1) Can't save replays in anyway from split-screen races!?
2) Don't see smoke in split-screen races!?

Can someone clarify these two a bit? If those are true, then will a patch be coming to fix those problems?

Two December Updates coming:

Early December will see an update enabling the "configuratiuon" of mechanical damage. Not sure what this means, but it seems like you'll be able to go into maybe driver options and select the severity of the damage.

Late December will see the ability to back up your save to an external device. Awesomeness!

How about removing the HUD ETC.........

One thing at a time. At least they're trying their best to listen to the community and fix the game. Just be patient wait it out.
 
I haven't been in this thread for a few days.

Just thought i'd ask people what their favourite standard model car is so far? I've just purchased a Merc 190E II for 120k and change. Have to say i'm very pleased with it. With light tuning, won me the Schwarzwald A event, and great fun to drive, really controllable but also naughty on demand.

Also, i'm utterly and completely head over heels with my new tuned, fully customised Gallardo. Easily favourite car so far, and i have quite a few decent ones (XJ13, R10, GTR race car). I'll post some pics of some of my latest cars later in my gallery.

I'm loving Gran Turismo 5, warts and all.

Agreed. Changing around the HUD and saving tuning configurations would be nice, but mechanical damage and above all, being able to save to an external device, is way more important to me.

Saving to an external device is at the very top of my list, no joke. I've already got a lot of hours into this game, and it's only gonna go up from here. I would really hate to lose it all because they had copy protection on the save file.

At this moment in time, our game saves cannot be moved or copied AT ALL. Despicably selfish choice by PD.

But as said, they're going to amend this.
 
Finally my copy of GT5 is comming, tomorrow they will send it to me. Unfortonally is weekend, but i hope in the Monday or tuesday it will be at my hands !*-*
 
Alright, so taking an electric car to an Endurance race isn't a good idea for the sole reason there's no way to change the battery. Noted.

Kaz tweeted that there will be an update at the end of the month to remedy this.
 
CRAPS! Just accidentally hit the "restart" button on my Endurance race...why is that thing there, anyway?
 
I'm getting really angry with the Challenges. I just finished the second challenge with that classic white Mercedes on intermediate 2 after THREE HOURS!!. I'm just going to cheat from now on because it's seriously impossible. I mean you make one tiny mistake and you lose like a thousand! seconds of your time, really PD? The example video shows the guy finishing at 1:20 and I finished at 1:20 after skipping loads of grass which kinda proves the guy was cheating some how.

I don't even feel like playing any more, I honestly tried to play this game as realistic as possible but that doesn't seem to work AT ALL!!

One more thing, please PD don't ever in your life include NASCAR in a GT game ever again, I did get gold in all the challenges but it's pure garbage and needs trashing.
