Guys, I just won the 2 "Like the Wind" races and got the TOYOTA Minolta race car. That was by the beast Zonda R.
These 2 races where the hardest to win.:irked:
I did that by the zonda R just to save my credits and buy some of my favourite cars.👍
Is there anyone of you guys won these 2 races by the Zonda R ? :trouble:

I'm getting really angry with the Challenges. I just finished the second challenge with that classic white Mercedes on intermediate 2 after THREE HOURS!!

Hell, the Nurburgring and me just didn't get along today. I couldn't even get up past Hatzenwhatever and just wasn't my day AT ALL.

You get days like that with the ring. When i'm having a bad day in the races, i thank PD for including photo mode, drift mode, practice mode, etc. I just buy a new car or pick one i haven't driven yet, go for a smooth drive, then take pictures. Suddenly, it wont matter so much that you can't seem to stay on the ring at 150mph.

Yeah a lot of my mates have stopped doing the challenges all together because they waist too much time. PD expects you to spend about 4+ hours of your day trying to do ONE challenge which is just ridiculous.

The average GT player won't even give a dam about them after their first few attempts.

The challenges are ridiculously difficult if you don't have a wheel.

The challenges aren't that hard :/

I have silver on the challenges all the way up to the rally one, and I use a six-axis. Most of those were on first attempt too. Yes, i've been playing GT for a long time, but others can get it too, with a bit of practice. The challenges are not hard, they are challenging, as implied by the title.

I don't have a wheel. A few challenges I can get gold on, most others I get silver. Oh well, I'm gonna keep trying. If I keep getting silver, then people will suffer on GTA. It's my stress reliever.

Same here, I have a few gold, but anything that require super precision, you just can't do with a DS3.

Hardest challenges are by far the Top Gear challenges.

The rest are no harder than any of the license tests

I completely relate to this. When both A-Spec and B-Spec push me to my limits, I browse the car list (both premium and standards) just to look at the nice cars and check out their demos, go into photo mode, or just do a nice relaxing time trial on a created course (or, just create a course while i'm at it). The game is so feature-rich that it's about drivers and cars on the whole, NOT just "racing." Even browsing the museum or tuning a few things on a car can waste an hour or so in this game.

You guys have too much time to play this game.

I have MAYBE 2 hours a day. If I'm struggling with the green hell then I just make myself drive better

Wait, they expect somebody to finish in 1st on the Tuscan Night Race when you can't see 30 feet infront of you?! Man, I call B.S.

EDIT: I'm just not starting my B-Spec career, and I got my driver driving my 862hp ZR1, and he hasn't spun out yet. He came close but he held it on the road. I'm proud of him for his first race. :)

I wish! I make time by sleeping less. I've been going to bed at 5am since GT came out. Luckily i've been on late shifts at work, which means up at 11am. Six hours sleep is plenty. I just have to convince my girlfriend to spend less time here :dopey:

Seriously though, the museum is another great feature, just to look at the pictures and read the info. Also, i love that every car has a whole description, detailing its history and development. So cool. You can literally spend hours in this game without racing.

Doesn't help that the Lambo is some stability issues and the track is all up and down.

I hear that. I just like to sit down with the game and set a realistic goal for the session. Maybe one special challenge or on A-spec it might be two or three. And just enjoy it, rather than try to rush and beat the game.

I'm guessing we've got a fair wait ahead before there's another one, I'd be surprised if PD attempt another release on the PS3...

i did, practice, i did the Top Gear Challenges and got golds and got all of my 60 Gold license trophy's.

Just ran across this

It shows a few seconds of the X1 in cockpit. It's a story from New Zealand about two young drivers trying to beat Vettel's Ring time.

Saw this one yesterday night. Never knew they were keen on playing GT5.

Did you know, that the Mercedes chalange (signature edition) is in Bspec mode? Lol

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe can confirm that the activation of the Gran Turismo® 5 Signature Edition competition will take place in December 2010. The activation date will be confirmed shortly.

We would like to reassure customers who have purchased the Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition that voucher codes will remain valid and the competition, with the chance to win a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, will still be going ahead. Satisfying the loyal Gran Turismo followers is at the heart of all of our efforts and we hope that they enjoy the wealth of driving experiences in GT5 until this exciting competition is live.

We’re pleased to reveal that the competition will be based on GT5’s ‘B-Spec Mode’, so any Signature Edition owners should be sure to start levelling up their B-Spec drivers now in preparation.

Further details will be available shortly and will also be posted on this website.

👍

yeah i been having on or off days, especially with championship events, one mistake and your race is almost guaranteed to be ruined. its really fustrating.

i had a rough evening last night , and then randomly did the Lupo challenge, loved it!, really fun, just free flowing, great fun.

Doing a rally race with your passenger side door gone is fun to me. I wish the navigator was with you so I could try to fling him out too. :dopey::dunce:

Lol, I know. It's 6:10am, I need something to make me say "holy s***!" When the door fell off, I went to cockpit cam and looked over to see if the navigator was there. Lol. Unfortunately, he wasn't. :grumpy::yuck:

Not sure if I have an issue or if there's something I'm overlooking...

I finally unlocked the full Nurburgring and quickly got my Lancer Evo X and took it to the track, with changing weather day/night. The ring was dry and it looked like it was coming up to sunset.

So I set off, first corner braked a little and totally lost control. It felt exactly like the Top Gear Lotus challenge. I reluctantly turned on all the assists when I did that challenge and finally managed to get silver. Everywhere else in the game I turn all assists off except ABS set to 1 usually. I just don't understad why the Evo handles so badly and why I basically need to brake VERY gently just to prevent all the wheels from locking up. I thought it may be that you needed to warm the tires up but I kept driving for half a lap and it was still very sensitive. I was racing on the Racing/Soft tires btw, it was not raining nor did the track look wet at all. ANyone know what might be up, I LOVED the Lancer Evo in Prologue, not tried it on any other tracks yet but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

Two questions. Any signs of flags (yellow, blue) like the demos of this summer? Is possible to use f duct on F10?

I just noticed something. I'm sitting here watching a replay of the exclusive Gallardo race, and noticed that the spoiler of the Gallardo that I'm driving never went up. Have anybody else noticed this while racing with one in GT Life or Arcade Mode?
