So, the "Like the Wind" is 10 laps of Indy? I just reached level 21 as I read this.
EDIT: Gran Turismo All Stars will bring the best out of you.. I'm driving like my life depended on it...

Still ... you can just skip All Stars until you have a car that can beat it, which can be earned in "Like the Wind"

What is the reason of putting the 2 F1 cars of ferrari !!!
Are they for photomode or something!
NO EVENTS for them, so why?

This really bothers me.
Anyone has something logic about this?

I think you mistake All-Stars and Like the Wind.

Like the Wind can be done easy with Viper, Corvette, or anything with a LOAD of HP. Viper base (90k), + huge turbo and exhausts, yadada (200k) -> 1000+HP. Wins Like the Wind with a little elbow grease (e.g. brake in hard 2. corner, try to get first, don't let the second pass till end)

The All-Stars is pretty hard, and should only be taken with serious LMP or GT cars (I did with the Toyota 88C, that I won in the Like the Wind)

I won All Stars with the 2J Race Car from 1970. I'm just having trouble now with the 2nd race of Like the Wind.

It seems the ZR1 was made for the Nurburgring. It's hopeless on any other track :crazy:

I used the ZR1 for alot of tracks beside the Nurburgring. You just gotta be easy with it. 905 horses with a ZR1 is like a double-edged sword. It can kill, but also can kill you if you're not careful.

The Zonda R fully tuned is enough to win All Stars, but not by much. My average margin was around 1.5 seconds per race, and I was driving pretty well.
 
I'm currently crushing the all-stars with my stealth R10.

In need of a car to defeat the historic cup. Haven't even tried with anything in my garage. It's annoying, caus i have the chrome line XJ13, but because it doesn't have a year attached to it, I can't enter with it.

I won "Like the Wind" event with the '89 Sauber C9 Race Car on my first try @ Indianapolis and my 2nd try @ Daytona. Ha! Ironically, I beat it with the car that has been giving me trouble to beat the "All Stars" event.

btw, thanks for the birthdate glitch, will try that tonight for the old Jaguar or the Ferrari. Even after fully tuning the '74 Countach, I couldn't catch those cars..

I don't have a race car except for the 2J. I'm gonna keep trying.
 
^I think I won it by way of a ticket in the game, can't remember. It's a great car, really fast and handles excellent, but very prone to spinning or losing control if you don't know what you're doing.

From what I hear(needs to be confirmed otherwise), they actually have their own events around level 40 or something

Also.. PD wanted to put more in. But F1 teams have very strict lisencing, Ferrari actually have special contracts with the FIA that lets them lend their name to things without the consent of the FIA while all the other teams do not have as much freedom. So Ferrari chose to show off their F1 cars while no one else could

I tried using mine for those events and was getting thrashed and that was in a Stealth R10.

Aren't the Ferrari's meant to be used in Formula Gran Turismo or is that just the Polyphony Digital F1 Car.

That event is just meant for the Formula GT car.

There's always a possibility, likely patches will be used for adding features and improving performance. New content will probably be reserved for DLC.

There is no quick tune, another thing they removed from Prologue. Actually the prologue seems like a more complete game, it didn`t try to be anything more than it was, but GT5 tries really hard to be everything, and fails, big time. GT5 should have been the Prologue, and the Prologue should have been GT5

I'm a bit running to your posts and i have to say, off course no quick tuning, that's a prologue thing, was in GT5P and in previous prologues, yes PREVIOUS, but never in full game.

It was a clever way to build in tuning in a demo...

Go troll another board, negativist...
