I smoked the All Stars with my Zonda R that I won. My total time of victory over the 5 races was probably something like 6 seconds, with the Ring coming within 0.8 of winning, but I won all the races.

Had to drive pretty well, but I did it.

In other news, why do people like the Yellow Bird so much? That car has the most oversteer of any car I think I've ever driven. Going in a straight line and touch the wheel? Spin. You can't even THINK about steering without spinning out, it's crazy.

I managed to win the Schwarzwald B event on Cape Ring with some good driving, but I just can't handle that car on the Ring.

just do it like this guy:

Wow, PD definitely got the modeling right. That car handles exactly like mine. I'm just not as good of a driver as that guy is. I'm also more of a tight driver, I prefer a car that understeers a bit.

I've never been that good at driving cars that are that loose.

@Voltaic - I haven't ventured around the online lobbies either. You weren't alone on that question.

Question GTP, has anyone uploaded the bonus video found on the flash drive in the Signature edition? What was it?

You have a RUF? :dopey: Fast car! 👍👍

I had an 04 S2000 and the car here in GT5 handles exactly like the one I had, amazing phiysics on the part of PD.

On another note, I thought about using the Zonda R for the "All Stars" event, but I hear a lot of people complainning about it spinning too easy. Do you mind sharing your settings on the car just in case I have to try it?

:sly: Man, screw getting those type of cars. I'm hardheaded. I'm gonna use the Viper ACR and the ZR1 to do the "All Stars". I know I can do it without them. :dopey:

QUESTION! If I can't afford any of those 60s race cars, which pre-1979 car should I use for that historic race car event in the expert series? I was thinking either the Art Morisson 'Vette or the Trans Cammer Mustang. Any other suggestions?

There are numerous guides here for that race, and the 74 Countach seems like the way to go. And don't purchase the Art Morrison just for that race, you can't use it for it :)

haha, no, I meant my RUF in the game. The one in that video looks exactly like the one I have in the game, oversteer galore.

Lol, I drive a 93 Volvo 940 Turbo wagon. Not quite as fast as a Yellow Bird.

The Zonda R takes a lot of throttle control. It has a ton of power and weighs almost nothing, so you definitely can't put down too much power in the corners. Very easy on the throttle until you straighten it out, very important to learn.

I bought the High RPM turbo, Racing Soft tires, and the chassis reinforcement thing. The chassis thing seemed to tame some of the oversteer, and it was only $20k, so I think it's worth it, but I'm not sure, it's hard to tell. Buy whatever else it doesn't have, I can't remember if it comes with the Engine Stage 3 or not, but I have it.

Don't forget to change the oil. This car loses HP very quickly for some reason. After a few testing sessions I was down from 958 to 920, quick oil change gets it all back.

Step 1) Turn the downforce all the way up, for every track. It's worth it.

Step 2) Transmission at 224 mph for most tracks, more like 249 for Nurburgring.

Step 3) LSD Initial/Accel/Brake at 20/40/15.

Suspension I think I left alone, but it's currently at 0 ride height, 12.8/15 front/rear spring, 7/7 both dampers, and 4/4 anti-roll. All the wheel alignment is standard.

It could probably be faster, but it's pretty darn fast like this.

^Thanks for sharing those settings. I never really get into messing around with the spring & damper rate rate but it seems sometimes it's needed. And the only thing I dislike about stiffening the suspension is that it can't be undone :( so I'm afraid it'll make things worse in my case than better.

I was wondering the same thing. The cars listed on the event restriction are race cars mostly so i thought you'd only be able to race with one of those.

I have the 74 Countach, I'll give it it a try. That's my last event to beat in the Expert series.

Same, but it isn't so easy with the Countach. There are different cars that load each time and at different starting positions, if one of the really fast ones is in the lead soon after the start, just quit the race all the way and reload. Some of those cars are just impossible to beat once they are ahead, at least in the Lamborghini. Good luck!

I got the P4 Race car, it's hard enough to win with that car. I got the 2nd race to complete and then I'll be finished. It's on that super tight Cote 'd Azur track(forgive me if i made a typo).

lol Yeah, I wished I had seen this post before. I just blew over 150k credits fully tuning the '74 Countach. I agree, the car just CAN NOT compete with the rest of the competition at this level. Most of the cars in this event are race cars, and althought the Countach is fast, it doesn't do very well in the handling dept. It drifts all over the place, even with soft racing tires. I guess I'll have to wait and try the 69' Corvette Race Car. Just gotta be lucky to have it show up in the used car dealership.

How did yo get the P4?? That thing is 20 million credits!

Or did you obtain it after trading it with another member?

Birthday Glitch? How did you pull that off?

Make a new account and set the birthday up for today(or tomorrow if you gonna do it then), but make the year for whatever car you want.
Example: since today the 5th, put December 5, 1967(if you want the P4 Race Car) for the birthday.
Pray that you get the car you want(if not, delete the save data and restart the game)
Add your original account to the new account. When your original name appears in your dud's community, you can send it to yourself and hope it goes through.

Go back to your main account, accept the gift and start playing. :)

Nice! I might aim for that Peugeot 905 myself or I might just keep being hardheaded and use my Viper :ouch:
EDIT: Woha, just won a race car. A Honda Loctite Mugen NSX '01. Wasn't expecting that.

Good question, I've wondered that myself.:dopey:

I got a question.. Do you have to go a championship all at once to get the gold trophy, cash, and the car prize... Or can you do the races, and then come back and do them later to win it all..?

You need to get gold in the championship and you usually win a prize. To get a Gold you don't need to win every race. E.g. if there are 5 then winning 3 could bring home the gold. Then to get an extra prize you can individually beat the courses which you did not get gold.

Thats my usual XP.

Oh my! I finished the Nurburgring under the Gran Turismo All Stars in 6:33.592. 33 seconds better than my time in the Viper ACR.. woha...:dopey::drool:

Well if you are too lazy to do 10 laps of Indy for a 88C ....

I think your glitching is taking you longer than just taking your viper, put a turbo on, and go Indy in the "Like the Wind" challenge

The 88C can beat anything given some skill ... you can put a extra turbo on it even getting it to 1050+ HP ..

So, the "Like the Wind" is 10 laps of Indy? I just reached level 21 as I read this.
EDIT: Gran Turismo All Stars will bring the best out of you.. I'm driving like my life depended on it...
