Here is the news from N4G

http://n4g.com/news/829833/gran-turismo-6-only-for-playstation-4

If this news is true the question is: what do they mean!? DLC or not? new cars or tracks? Who knows...

I suppose that these 'news' refer to this :

Unfortunately it seems it was just maintenance this time... I think they are preparing the online leaderboards but it is just a thought...

Omg, Pic 3 of 16, they both look so strained and akward, the guy recieving the award looks like something out of deliverance, and he's about to make Kaz squeal like a piggy :scared:

Patience young padawan.
The update is expected in the evening (GMT time) ;)

29 august 18:05 and still nothing ? update????

What has the world come to? 10 years ago we would say that if a game didn't show up on release day. 2011, here we are feeling the same way about a file fixing bugs 9 months later. My point is that release dates has become less important because who knows if we're still playing a huge beta?

It's out. Version 1.11. Bug fixes, Nascar seasonal, TT & Drift events and updated OCD.

What a disappointment :yuck: hahahahah end don't li to yourself ....... DISAPPOINTMENT !!!

Not sure it's due to this patch but can anyone else confirm or deny if they've changed the lights on at least the Premium cars?
Was just casually driving my Premium RX-8 on the Nür 24 hour track with day/night changes and noticed the high beam was more powerful than before and differently coloured (more yellow-ish versus blue-ish or neutral for the low beam setting) than I seem to remember.
Or maybe I'm just seeing things again...........

Disappointment in what? Were you expecting something in the update that wasn't mentioned?

They've always had that if I recall.

Okay thanks, it's just that the difference seems more pronounced than before and the high beam seems to give better visibility.
But like I said before, it might be just me seeing things, or thinking I'm seeing things due to the recent patch, you know, psychologically and all that. ;)

I cannot think of play GT5 with this stuff on my eyes (see below) ... I will not be able to see the wheel...
By the way, it may be fun with other games... even though you'll be completely unaware of what is really happening around you...

http://www.psu.com/Sony-3D-headset-dated--a012718-p0.php

Sony’s finally pinned down a release date for its elusive 3D headset, confirming the slick piece of kit will launch in Japan on November 11.

The swanky visor, dubbed the HMZ-T1, remains largely unchanged from when Sony showcased it at the beginning of the year.

It’ll feature a pair of 1280x720 0.7inch OLED panels mounted in front of your eyes, 5.1 surround sound via integrated headphones, plus full HDMI input/output. As for a price, the HMZ-T1 will set you back a whopping 60,000 yen (about £481).

Speaking on the device back in January, Sony’s executive deputy president, Hiroshi Yoshioka commented, "As a big gamer myself, I couldn't be excited more than when I first played Gran Turismo 5 with this head-mounted display because nobody, not even my wife, could interrupt me so that I could get a higher score."

Why does that set just scream "Forever alone" to me?

wow thanks to the update i finally breached that level 30 barrier. Sebastian vettel here i come....

I don´t know in wich thread I should post this, so I do it here...

After playing Shift2 and FM3 all I can say is, GT5 is a gift of the gods... Not perfect with it´s problems with A-Spec, less content, standard cars and so on... But anyway, the best game I played in the last years...

I wish PD would sell their driving physics license and track models - just like GT Interactive does with the Unreal Engine... We would have great other games then :)

I don't want to make a new thread so, TDU 2 doesn't have Lamborghini, I heard its a license issue where someone doesn't want to share anymore. Will this effect GT? As in, does this effect the series and we might not see any new lambos in the future?

Not just TDU 2. Supercar challenge was due to feature the Gallardo and Murcielago racecars, but that got pulled at the last minute.

That said, who knows if it's them having an exclusive deal or just not wanting to be in TDU2 (almost understandable given the condition it was in at release).

Anyone has seen any post in this thread about the added ability to create ramdom track on snowy conditons (Alaska)? Didn't know about till today when after patch 1.12 just went to track generator to have a look into any additions. Nice!

Alaska has been around since release if thats what you mean.

Yesterday's Mercedes European/Australian event is now up in the US.
