i wonder how the track will be.. is an interesting approach for a gran turismo track.. and how they ill impose some restraints to us? remember that no road/racing cars were aloud to race in space track? ;) i bet there will be somethings like this in this track aswell... :s hope not :)

That was fixed asap.

yeah.. why they did that in first place? they sure know we love the game and that we will try everything possible... indeed a new a track should be for us to try with all cars. The only thing i agreed is the general: no race cars (gt500 and so on) in offroad tracks. That is right ;)

Its purely because it's a Kart Space...I wouldn't worry about this. ;) It's a test track after all!

Are there any specs on Route X yet? I have a feeling it'll be 10 km like Test Course was, just with a cooler surrounding area. I really like the night shots. And how cool would it be if they put in some of the slipstream missions like from GT4? :D I'm very excited about this DLC.

I haven't seen any published specs for it but we do know it will be at least 10 km, longer would be nice though. Judging from the blog post it will be available for online, practice, and arcade modes so no events tailored to it yet.

Could there be 2 different Route x's ? as the pictures shows two completely different settings, not only day/night

I think thats just two different sides of the track.

I'm guessing the cityscape is on one straight/turn and the desert is the other. Two tracks would be awesome though.

Edit: Tree'd .

i was waiting for a test track since november 2010 !!!

Is he saying here that he realise know that the most important thing in a car game is feel, and its just not good enough in upcoming GT5?Just like in this Academy demo.Feel through the wheel.

edit: apologueses in advance.Polite,as Japanese are.

today:):Cant double quote,so go to page 154 and you can read Caz original thinkings!I knew it !!! XD

I wish the official blog posts about the new update and DLC weren't so vague about Route X. I want more details. Can we use the track to test two cars at the same time online? In other words, Drag Race? I also want to know if that is a "skid pad" to the left of the road in the daytime screen shot. Today's blog posts also included some bigger pictures, and if you look on the right side of the road, you have cones lined up like it could be a slalom set up.

I guess more details will come in due time. I'm just impatient...

Maybe we make our own arrangement of cones!

The "cones" could be just as likely lights; in the night-time scenes there are lights at set distances around the track, like a runway would have on its approach. Notice, as was pointed out elsewhere, that there appear to be two more "cones" on the gantry...

Personally I would like more pictures concerning the other new cars.

@griffith. They could be lights, but runway lights are small and close or on the ground. Coming from a pilot :)

Those are "cones" for sure. They look like the barrel shaped 'cones' used for construction purposes, whatever those are called. It is odd that they have some on the gantry though...

EDIT: I take it back, you are probably right. They line up with the 1000m line on the road itself. Who knows, thats why I want some details. And I also would like pics of the other 3 cars.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I noticed a message about maintenance next week in the news section in GT5.
Start:1/16/2012 22:00 EST
Finish:1/16/2012 23:00 EST

I'm guessing this will be when they implement the 2.03 update, so the DLC can be released when the store updates.

Edit: I just looked at the page before this and noticed its already been posted, sorry for not checking before I posted.

Yeah, sorry I wasn't implying it actually was a runway; just that perhaps that's the visual effect they're going for.
If you look along the length of the track, you can see "cones" spaced out in that direction, too.

On the lighter side, who thinks the old Escudo super-speed bug from GT3 may be an easter egg in practice mode? :sly:

As much as I'd love for that to happen, not quite sure its possible with these physics.

Sorry if anyone asked this before, but, is there any news about day/night transitions?
In the trailer we can see that... and I really hope to have that on the DLC. It would be great...

^ I have a gut feeling that SSRX will have the same width as DPTC '00 (from GT3/GT4), but the length will will 4 to 5 times longer.

You're thinking 50 KM? That's a loooong lap, but it seems like it'd make for some cool 1 lap slipstream racing!

Sounds like the ultimate X1 race to me. :sly:

The rammers probably wouldn't have the patience to drive 25 KM backward, so its a win-win for everybody :).

I hope the straights are longer than the old Test Course. I remember back on GTPSP, you could barely reach 400km/h in a Veyron without slipstream before the banked curve came up. I want a straight where I can hold the top speed for the fastest cars for more than 10 seconds.
