Come on, do you really expect another dlc that fast? :) I think it will be some minor update for some of the latest bugs, nothing more.

Considering they said "DLC every 2 months" and our january one came 1 month after DLC. February is actually our REAL DLC month :sly: haha..

Maybe old classic tracks in HD :P :D

If they bring us bugfixes and expand the wheel selection, specially for standards, I'll be happy enough.

Seriously, I want the BBS RS and Motegi racing rims for standards!

Do I remember correctly: tuesday = update maintenance, thursday = normal maintenance?
*Cue update & DLC hysteria* :sly:

DLC, DLC, DLC?!?! lmfao

Very true.

I would love the Torque Thrusts for the Muscle cars, at least... But yeah, The Motegi's would look great on a lot of Standard Cars...

I think PD will release RUFs for next DLC. I mean it is the logic choice if they supposed to be listening fans.

If they are listening, They'll add those and if planning on another Mini, It should be whatever model has the 4WD. (Countryman I think?) And if they truly are listening then maybe they'll add a Premium Supra like everyone's been asking for.......... Pwetty Pwease Kaz?

The Countryman is already in, but it's not the 4WD option, for some odd reason. I doubt it'd be a good idea to put another one in so soon...

Maybe they're not allowed. I know ruf isn't Porsche, but it wouldn't surprise me if Porsche and Ruf have an agreement prohibiting use of Ruf cars in video games. It also would not surprise me if EA pushed for such an agreement to be in place before signing for Porsche exclusivity.
The Ruf's we currently have are going to be from an ancient agreement, before EA decided to spoil everybody's fun.

I doubt Porche would withhold their chassis and body panels from Ruf for any reason. TDU2 is a fairly recent release that has licensed Ruf cars. Unless Atari has an exclusive license it should be a matter of time I think.

They have to renew the licenses for each game so the Ruf license is as current as any other brand included in GT5.
And Ruf and Porsche are both separate brands with separate licenses so EA has nothing they can do about Ruf being included in any other game and Porsche won't certainly get Ruf involved in their own exclusive license deal issues since Ruf is allowed to promote their products freely without consent.

I hope you're both right. I was just thinking out loud.
It's not like P.D don't know about cars, or don't know that if they show that Ruf Rgt/911 silhouette, then probably 75% of gamers will see a Porsche regardless of what it's called.

A premium Ruf would have been a big game-seller. Much more than the Sema-show cars for instance.

So why, if they're able to use new Ruf cars, based on more current Porsches (post 996 and mk1 Boxster), would they wait until now?

I don't know the ins and outs of the p.d licencing agreements, but I'd bet for their own security that they aren't on a purely game by game basis. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they have the rights to some cars negotiated for decades to come, regardless of the number of games that are released in that time.

Having the rights to a 90s RGT doesn't mean Ruf would give them the rights to their RGT8. Each car would be a seperate license, and I don't find it hard to believe that Ruf might not give those rights to P.D, for various reasons.

RUF in other racing games:

Gran Turismo 5: sure, standards. The newest being a 2000 model.

RUF talk is amongst my favorite things to rant about concerning GT. It's time we represent them in all the sexy glory that is GT. RT 12 R, RGT-8, CTR3 would be a perfect supercar lineup.

We need Gemballa Porsches in the game as well - Gemballa build stunning cars.

I want new prerium RUF's too

Forza is getting an ALMS DLC package soon. Wonder if this will spark any ideas for the ol' Kaz-san over there across the water ;) eh? eh?

I noticed that as well...it is a VERY nice pack too! Incredible how they modeled the LMP1 Audi already. It looks great! The pack itself is a decent blend of cars.

Exactly why is it called the ALMS pack when there's only two cars in it that had anything to do with the series?

You're asking someone who has nothing to do with FM4, XBOX, or understanding of content release?

I wasn't specifically directing that at you, I was just wondering about that. Just doesn't click with me

I think ALMS is just the sponsor of the DLC, like Jalopnik was the sponsor of last month's. Everything has to have a sponsor attached to it nowadays, you know. This is just a guess, though, I'm not sure.

[sarcasm]Don't worry. If we don't get Koenigsegg or Gumpert or Noble or premium RUFs, we'll get our fair share of RMed Celicas and Supras.

It all balances out![/sarcasm]
