Has anyone else noticed that the navigator on the special events has gone? All the other cars have a co-driver but my car doesnt anymore... You still get the pace notes but now theyre from some invisible man... or a ghost in some bizarre Randal and Hopkirk racing team kind of way!
Oh and GT5 kind of saved my life too... well my car at least... I'm not a quick driver, so never really been in a position to test my skill and reflexes.
But driving my friend home the other night I went around this corner and must have hit some oil or diesel because the car just lurched and slide tail out. A situation I've found myself in while playing GT5 on a wet circuit and I dont know if I knew how to handle the situation because of the countless hours on GT5 or Aryton Senna possessed me for moment but I was calm, knew exactly what to do and when to do it... the car straightened up without hardly any fuss and I carried on driving like nothing had even happened... My mate by this point was looking at me in a 'Who the hell are you and I will worship you as a god' kind of way!
Just thought I'd share as it was pretty cool... not saying I want to go around doing it all the time. haha
Haha, that is an awesome story. This kind of stuff is the reason why Gran Turismo is "The Real Driving Simulator". Forza hasn't proven much yet to their effectiveness in the real world yet(as far as I know), while GT5 has had GT Academy and stories like yours.
