GTPlanet's longest thread, now watch as it disappears deep into the many thousands of pages on the forum.![]()
Problem is the second half of last year, they were constantly updating the game, improving it, fixing errors, giving us new features we all cried for... Then to excite us even more the last months of 2011 we had the start of the DLC. And we could keep ourselves busy with cool seasonal events. This created high expectations that in the end we would end up with the masterwork GT5 was supposed to be when they released it.
2012 came; the seasonal events were ditched for the lame formula we have now (for me only the A spec events i keep racing, Time trial and drift i gold once for the dough, and B spec i don't even bother with). Like that only one new event thats useful (but lame), every 3 weeks...
Upon that the DLC and updates dried out all of a sudden. And whilst we have this silence from PD the last months, and no seasonals to look forward to neither anymore, we see T10 giving their fanbase dozens of new treats on a continuous basis.
Result= fustration. At least some transparency from PD (a status update or some news for example); would help a lot. But there's only this silence, who knows maybe they have given up on GT5 alltogether...
👍 That's the truth. The frustration comes from the lack of patience so many people have, unfortunately
Why this misstrust towards PD all of a sudden? It´s PD, their staff can´t provide player with everything they want, their staff is too small.
But I don´t understand why even doubting there ongoing care for this title.
And they certainly arent busy doing GT Academy, the Academy is a working group of its own exept for Kaz himself nobody of the PD staff is working on GT Academy, if they work on something related to it however it might be modelling Academy related Cars
oh these generalizations don´t lead to anything good, sorry
👍 That's the truth.
You're right, but what I meant to say is I concur.I don´t know, honestly, if it´s the truth. But I know its my opinion
Thank you another_jakhole

Viva la Raza? lol
The expectations some people have seem like they're supposed to be facts. How do people expect everything to come as they see fit?

Easy; double your staff you will be able to keep your deadlines, bring out DLC, improve the points of the game that need improving and work on GT6.
With the millions they make, and the lessons of all those deadlines they have already missed (by years!), they should have done that already.
But no... with the 140 something staff they have, they will have troubles updating their existing games and we will see GT6 somewhere in 2015 (i bet 2 years after the original release date).
We'll get a prologue tough untill then![]()
Face it, nothing will ever be good enough.
Now can we move on?

So? Many´s were playing the gt5 prologue up until relase of gt5 and even after, until servers shut down, me included... we were playing gt4, in fact many still do and I dont mean those whiny chickens who say they´d refuse to play gt5 because its oh so whack... No they play it couse they love it AND gt5 equally, i really dont see your point hermano, really not
What do you think PD staff is doing? playing forza all day? LOL
So this excuses PD to keep us in the dark regarding the future of the game? You can't deny that people would be a little more understanding if they kept us up to date occasionally, instead of making people wait indefinitely for stuff. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do this.
Wouldn't be a bad idea if they would play Forza, so they can pick up the good ideas there.
Don't get me wrong, i'm happy with what i got and i play GT5 each day.
But it's sad to see how they struggled to release the game (yet again) and then were forced to do so with a final deadline (christmas 2010), resulting in a game that was not finished at all.
Thus afterwards having to play catchup, and bit by bit loosing out on the competition. It's a dog eat dog world and if you wanna be the best and stay the best you better get your act together.
Bueno, basta de quejas, ahora voy a jugar un poco de GT5![]()
Flaco13No I can´t and I did never deny that a lil transparacy from there side would be cool, where did you see me saying this?
Famine unstickied it along with others like The Star in the Reasonably Priced Car. I personally think this should go back to where it belongs. As a sticky at the top of this forum. The over 74,000 posts total should not justify why this thread in particular should be left to drown in the hundreds of pages that is the GT5 Forum. Can Famine explain his reasoning for unsticking the*most popular thread in the GT5 Forum?why is this thread no longer locked at the top, took me a while to find -.-
allot of spot locked threads aren't in there spot any more..

I still don't get as to why, its only 3 Stickies if this were to be re-stikied. That alone will take up less than 1/10 of the page.

Although I think the unstickieing of this thread was a wrong decision in itself. They've just been "un-stickied", as Famine has been working hard over the last few days to clean up the GT5 forum. Most of the previously sticky / important threads in the topic have been linked from his new (and sticky) GT5 Forums Help & FAQ Thread.
I still don't get why they did it ? =( I mean, its like throwing an article into a pile of papers, that's not organized!! or clean!
FamineAll of the previous sticky threads are directly linked to from the new one, along with several other helpful threads. It is done this way to clean up the forum, prevent clutter from niche threads, to direct users more appropriately, to prevent superfluous topic creation and to keep discussion going as it should do. If a thread is popular it will stay at the top through its own merits.
