So people are getting paranoid that they might have to type a couple more keys and click a couple more links because it's unstickied?

Must be tough being a mod Famine.
 
I for one think this new method of organizing stickies is better, but it was a shock to see the change all of the sudden after more than a year of the forum loading with a ton of sticky threads.

P.S. Maybe the most important sticky thread or 2 could still be pinned, like the Jenkins thread of course.
 
Should be renamed latest rumour and general trolling thread and then re stickied.
 
There is no reason for this thread to remain stickied - it served a purpose pre-release, but nowadays, when news relating to GT5 does break, it typically ends up getting its own thread(s). Heck, prior to the de-stickying, and the associated complaining, there were pages of slow-chat and general off-topicness.

The new stickied mega-FAQ/Q&A thread is one handy location to find all the previous stickies (and other important threads). Famine worked hard to make it more accessible and given that it now offers explanations of each thread, users should have a better idea of where they can find the general answers they're looking for, for most inquiries.
 
Wow. Took WAY longer to read all the moans about un-stickying this thread than it did to refind it! It all makes perfect sense to me...

Eso hermano! Though I agree it in fact would be a good idea (and of course its more than likely they do!) Competition is always good for business, and that is exactly why I dont think we should give up hope for more content to come, and work on GT6 no doubt is in progress aswell :)

When opening this forum, a new user was greeting first with a mass of subforums, then a mass of pinned threads - some that they couldn't post in. This is quite daunting and, as a result, a lot of information contained in the stickies (that we thought was important) was, ironically, lost to them.

This way encourages participation. If a thread is popular it will remain at the top through its own merits but, also, old sticky threads are permanently linked from the single pinned help thread. So they can be found, whenever you want. Just like if they were stickies, but without the clutter of having them stickied...

If I can understand 90% of this post, then he's just fine.

If it was entirely in Spanish, then I would see the point in it.

It wasn't just one post I believe I saw two, and still I see mods and regular users tell people all the time to speak english when only 10-20% of the post to is text. So me just letting that user know is an issue for you? Sorry but if we have to follow it, I only see it fair.

Not really an issue, just thought it didn't seem warrented given his post (And the second post you mention) was mostly in line with the AUP and only had a few Non english words.
 
I used Japanese and you guys didn't pull out the "AUP card" on me :confused:

The only japanese I remember seeing you put down was more of explaining to others what characters meant in english. Not speaking in japanese. Also if you did and I missed it then that's beyond me, if I saw it and you were speaking I'd do the same thing to you.

Once again it was a simple reminder, if you felt it wasn't warranted why not just pm me? I saw something that was bending AUP and I thought to remind the user just so they don't take it further in this thread or others and then run into a mod warning. Not really worth discussing further than this.

I'm just wondering why people is talking about GT6??? It's confirmed by PD??? Well I know is the next in the line but... I still thinking that GT5 have a lot stuff to put out! So people please stop the hate and racing! :dopey:

GT6 was confirmed as being in development by Kaz a long time ago.
 
New Seasonal and Updated UCD, Just to let you guys know. VW-themed UCD.
 
A-Spec No.5 it seems. I wonder if people will still complain even though some were begging for an A-Spec seasonal...
