Interesting, isn't it, that when the first release date was March 31st, we had new videos, pictures and trailers every few days in February and then, when it was postponed, this stopped.

And on May 12th we had the first new pictures, videos and demo in a while...

Makes sense, although it's default to GTP members to be unbelievers and doubters when it comes to release dates, I find strange that we got a lot of info when E3 is coming within a month, it would be a logical assumption that PD would hide the secrets to the show. However, it doesn't provide a solid floor of facts to build a conclusion, speculation remains, but stronger and carrying more credibility this time. ;)

I don't know if Sony is already satisfied with the preorders taken till now and just decided to release the game, but Sony perfectly can announce the game at E3, although I sincerely think they will release the game when they're ready to capitalize on it. By capitalize, I mean bundles, so they need a decent supply of PS3s and Logitech would have been told to increase DFGT production figures.

Seems like our insiders know less than we thought initially, and Sony is a real Pro when it comes to cover classified info. Am I right? E3 will tell. ;)

:D

I thought we learned from the past?

I must say I´m also very optimistic that we get it in June or July but I also must stay pessimistic...

I can´t forget the dissapointment after E3 2009... It was judgement day here on GTPlanet...

One thing you can learn from the past is that history never repeats itself, whatever common knowledge might say otherwise.
Thing is, we've had a long period of no news or info, let alone a hint from an official Sony ad.
I deal with any dissappointment, which may or may not occur, at that particular time, not being unrealistic but hopeful.
Didn't they say after the Japanese delay that it wouldn't affect the release frame for rest of the world ( whenever that actually was intended for )? :)

I think you guys are reading a little bit too much into the whole MFJ thing. A June/July release would be a big surprise, i'm looking more realistically at a Fall release time.

Absolutely (and I may be the biggest culprit with my translation).

But there's a train coming. The Hype Train. You aboard?

Ok, let's be a little rational for a while here...

Beside's a demo that was release for a specific event (Nurburgring 24hrs), where it featured the Nurburgring for GT5 and unveiled the GP track, showing cars already known from past demos, what other "lot of info" (new info) did we get lately?

Continue with the hype... :sly:

The writing looks backwards on the crashed hype train, I think its a message.

Yeah, so I'm the one who will refresh your memories, in the last months we didn't have any news, demos, screenshots and even another official word from Sony and SCEE, excepting "Soon".

But suddenly, Sony starts to pronounce another words building the hype for E3, the new demo shows overall progress of the development, which we can assume that's in a final and polished build (physics and graphics-wise).

Then, there's all the Man Jurismo Five thing. Do you really think that Sony would allow such hype-building statement coming from the mouth of an employee? Something is going on.

I'm not all in for the hype, I will be okay even if the game releases in fall, what we're discussing here are possibilities, and this time, the speculation is carrying much more associated facts, not just only rumours like before.

Agree, am still mentally programmed for an Autumn release, if it just were the Nurburgring demo nothing much would change apart from new info but adding the confirmation of E3 presence and on top of that an official Sony ad fuelling the hype ( or anticipation ) by giving a not very subtle clue gives me hope for GT5 being in my PS3 before the last leaves have fallen.:)

Alternatively, it could be a reference to Michael J. Fox, meaning one can control the game with the PS Move, but only if you shake the damn thing like crazy...

Ha!

Meh. Sony's conference is on the 15th!

But E3 technically begins on the 13th.

(They couldn't use an 'O' (Oan) not comical enough)

If we're actually on to something with the cryptics, then Sony IS telling us when we'll know.....E3

Forget the 'cryptic' message (if it can even be called that). :dunce:

Focus on the facts, on a real number. Try 28.
👍

How about the 29th instead? I just want to get my Man Furismo Jive on! Anybody else want to dance?

I'll ask again - what we have seen is a new demo featuring a new build of a track already confirmed and the addition of a new part of it thus making 2 extra layouts.

What words did Sony pronounced? Confirmation of a likely presence on a big game show? The hype is being a little exaggerated... they can eventually even release the game there but honestly nothing from Sony's words do support that theory (as of yet)

Finally, what employee?! The man's an actor in a commercial teaser.

Hold your horses - that's all I'm saying. People are getting all flamed-up with no solid reasons to it.

Me too, getting my best outfit together for this :D

I thought the whole "delay" thing was scheduled by Sony to fight properly with MS's Halo this fall.

Nothing is going to beat HALO hype ever! And i hate to say it but that includes Gran Turismo Series! IMO

There are a lot of reasons that could have caused the delay ...Halo is none of them.

Maybe not the hype itself, but the overall quality of Halo isn't really hard to beat ...the Halo series is one of the most overrated ever.

Pretty sure somewhere (on the PSBlog?) that Sony specifically said to watch for more info regarding GT5 at E3.

I'd have to disagree. I don't see anywhere near the amount of Hype For Halo Reach that Halo 3 had long before its huge release.

As far as I know, he worked for Sony despite of being an actor, not only worked for Sony, worked for the company's marketing dep., being so, he must have access to some classified information that most journalists and press members wouldn't even dream to have. He can't tease what he didn't see, so the existence of a nearly finished product, is very likely, if Man Furismo Jive is really GT5.

Not actually, if the game won't release at E3, whatever, but recent facts are lending us to believe that the game is really finished by now. Now, seems like things are really up to Soony's marketing, and then a teaser is more valuable than a hundred million posts, let's wait for MFJ. ;)

Well, Sony is deciding the release, not PD, Kaz said that. So it is a good chance my saying is true.

Plus, your claiming of none reasons is flawed cause it stands on no facts.
