Well, Sony is deciding the release, not PD, Kaz said that. So it is a good chance my saying is true.

Your assumption is just as speculative as every other one right now, so yes, there is a chance that it could be true ...but not a "good" one because it just wouldn't make much sense.

Plus, your claiming of none reasons is flawed cause it stands on no facts.

I just didn't want to bring up this discussion again, but alright, here are some reasons for the delay that are much more probably:

- Sony is waiting for their 3D TV's to launch with GT5
- Sony didn't want to see a multi millionen copy seller in the last fiscal year (there also could be a lot of reasons for that)
- Kaz didn't want to release the game in march because he wanted to continue working on it (thats because he once stated:"We could release the game in march, but the game wouldn't have all the features that we wanted to have included" or something like that)
- Sony thought that it's from a marketing perspective better to release the game after E3 for obvious reasons

Those are just like yours only speculation, but much more likely than the Halo-thing IMO.
And sorry for my english :)

You have to allow for true Pre-Order Advertising from your major video game retailers. It wont be released in a flash instant like E3.
I believe after E3, we will have our release date(hopefully Fall), and then the next days later the real advertising of GT5 begins in all your retailers. With all the pre-order bonus DLC's and yada yada hipe hipe, and then we will have fun. 👍

I know that June/July release would not be surprise for me but it would be for most of you here...

Most of that interview turn out to be not true but hey, that's where optimism kicks in :)

I share your optimism about June/July release, but won't really be disappointed if it is later this year.

Pre-Orders have been (literally) going for months (years?). Since GT's US website has been broadcasting a release date of 2010, retailers have been taking preorders for this years' sale. Maybe between now and E3 the cardboard adverts and posters will go up in shops, then the announcement at E3, then the sales. So July is not out of the question. 💡

was just about to post it :D ,mimaximas supplies the goods yet again.
edit strangely he says all drivers now have names (scratching my head )

Sony is going to give away a copy of "Man Furismo Jive" to anybody that purchases a 3D tv!:sly:

As far as I know, he worked for Sony despite of being an actor, not only worked for Sony, worked for the company's marketing dep., being so, he must have access to some classified information that most journalists and press members wouldn't even dream to have. He can't tease what he didn't see, so the existence of a nearly finished product, is very likely, if Man Furismo Jive is really GT5.

The fact you're even implying that KB himself made and released this video is absurd. Yes, you are doing that just by admitting you think the hint at the end of the video is his own doing. Fact is that this is just a MOD NATION trailer. They have something like 5 of them with Ted price, Jaffe, the guys that made Infamous. He's just a Sony made celebrity reading a script. None of it is his doing except the acting. Same goes for the people deciphering what Man Furismo Jive could mean. They threw a bunch of words together that rhymed with gran tursimo five. That's all it is.

Yes, I noticed that too, here's the quote from him;

"AI drivers now have names (selected randomly ?) : Titus, Grant, Shawn, Keagan, Jasper, Giovanni, Rodrigo, Keith, Haiden, Phoenix, Yahir, Humberto, Jimmy, Jason, Kai, Jayson, Russell, Jared, Milton, Carlos, Omari, Harper, Zachary, etc. I think it's part of the "more human IA experience"

He was at the Ring, some GTRP-Members met him there ;)

Ah ok thanks! Did somebody asked him who he is? How he gets all the demos? Did he know more about GT5? :)

What wouldn't make sense? Sony, deciding the release date? PD is playing the developer role here. They have more leniency than other devs, since they are in house, but it's still sony marketing deciding when the the game gets released.

You can pretty much pre-order any game that isnt yet out. I said you have to allow for the pre-order advertising, yes the cardboard adverts and posters, and the empty game cases on the top shelf with the "coming soon".

With most big games, the retail pre-order advertising does not start until there is a release date. So I see it best as at E3 we will get release date, then the pre-game madness begins.

Is there still people here that think when he said Man Furismo Jive that he was speaking of something other than GT5? And all this deciphering the letters in the jingle is pretty pointless if you ask me. E3 is soon, if they come there and announce a release date, that's great. If not then hopefully we'll get it before the end of this year.

Why would it mean anything other than GT5? Just to add insult to injury?
It wasn't exactly subtle, so I guess it is agreed that it referred to GT5.
What it actually implies or whether or not there are further cryptic clues is debatable.

Nice new video. Sound is still sub-par (referring mostly to the Enzo). But all other facets of the game have been impressive so far!

Only 4 more Tuesdays!

Sound is through a TV recorded to a video Camera of a DEMO. 3 things wrong with this. TV's don't usually have accurate bass because of the size and placement of speakers. It looks like a small TV as well. And on top of it all it's still just a demo, not the finished game. I'm sure when GT5 the game is here and it's hooked up to an entertainment center with surround sound speakers and a subwoofer it'll sound much better. As for the handling physics, he had sport tires. Driving aids were all turned off as well as ABS. More or less we can take the quick review of this demo with a grain of salt. The Enzo isn't a car you just hop in and go fast. Neither is this track. No driving aids and no ABS will cause some instability, and my guess is that he hasn't drove the Enzo before.

If I recorded nfs:Shift from that TV with a crappy camera it would still sound better. I'm just saying.

Seeing this new vid made me think:

Engine sound is like prologue.
Tyre sound is like TT.
Driving physics are likeTT.

Thanks bro for this great statement, the sounds are very hard to judge from a recording, however i like how difficult it seems to handle the car not to start a forza war but anybody who has forza3 like my self will tell you the enzo is so easy to handle in stock form. When i drove it i was like :odd: is a Enzo this easy to drive. After seeing that video though i know thats not the case

I wouldn't worry about the sound just yet - for one they are the same as the CES demo

which did not not have transmission whine from the Time Trial. If a Tuned 370z has tranny whine, then so should a Motul Autech GT-R or the other Super GT cars, if they are of the same build, they don't here

just use your common sense and logic

I suppose with each new demo, some new features are revealed, but others remain the same. Like physics, textures of higher quality, new objects around track, effects(sparks) etc., on the other hand engine sounds are still crappy, hand animations are still slooow and so on, but that doesn't mean it will stay like that in the final version. Or at least, i hope so...

EWWWWW, Driving with one hand Due to 15 min paddle gear change is completely annoying and its ruining the Cockpit view
