mmm... I really don't know... I'm not into american slang, so I cannot invent much words... I could do it in spanish or italiano thought! XD

Its not that hard to learn American slang, and, its fun...give it a try:sly:

By the way, what does tree'd means?đź’ˇ

Hi all,

Wanted to post this in the now closed pre-order thread,

I was thinking of putting in my pre-order, but had a thought that if PD do infact release a "Limited Edition" of GT5, won't all the pre-orders recieved by retailers to date be for the "standard" copy of the game?

Made me think maybe I should wait until the rumoured "Limited Edition" is either confirmed or denied, before I pre-order.

Sorry to sway a little off the current topics in this thread, but I just been thinking about this and thought I'd bring it up.

Well, it is a general discusion thread - at least you didn't make up a whole new one!

Yes, it's fair to say that all pre-orders to-date will be for the standard version. If there is a Limited Edition (I can't see why not), and you already pre-ordered, you'll have to change that pre-order.

I wasn't going to bother, but if there is a Limited Edition, I'll probably pre-order it to secure a copy, but if not I'll just be walking into a 24 hour supermarket a few minutes before midnight on the day before release.

I think this is the main reason for the delay. PD have been trying to get the game to wrap around a pencil. God knows why but now i want it more than ever.

Dear moderator,

Before you comment on why this is relevant, please take the time to identify that it is GT5 that is being shown on the screen in the link, and as users of this forum we are all scrambling about trying to get any information we can about the game. Some of it may be nonsensical, some of it may be to inject a bit of humour into the boredom of going over and over the same topics while we wait for the next batch of screenshots. This is such a post. Please take this into account before closing threads and stating they are unrelated. This is interesting stuff.

As you know, this link was already made into a new thread and closed, for good reason. So it shows Gran Turismo running on a roll-up screen, how does that relate to news about GT5 in any capacity? The video is not about GT5, and shows nothing new about GT5.

The screen tech is interesting, and belongs in the relevant forum. Just not this one.

That second quote is directed specifically at you tokyo drift. You are up there with Famine and CoolcolJ in regards to quality posts. I just want to be in the gang.

he's just making a joke i guess! Because GT gets a delay for every little gimmick soony wants to push.

BTW nĂĽrbĂĽrgring race report on japanese site. Hopefully soon on the US or european site too, because google translate isn't so nice to read

I just don't understand how come one gets to the conclusion this is the cause of delay of GT5. The gadget is the output device, the game has nothing to do to it.

I bet we will appreciate that delay in the end because there is a chance for more tracks, cars, more stable code and better polished graphics, sound and AI. Certainly not all employees are working on fancy things like Move and 3D.

Agree with you mate...👍

I personally am glad they said the delay was due to Move and 3D ,if you think about it if they didnt implement those features we would of had it by now so it doesnt take that long (relatively speaking )to do and I think thats why we are getting more people saying "VERY/SOON" recently........

Maybe that's why they said it was 90% finished. The other 10% was implementing the 3-D and Move.

Agree, when Kaz said "rushing with the game" he meant some more cars and details that weren't previously planned. Also, I've read somewhere about "A couple of cars that we'll drop, if they aren't finished in time", so we might be getting some surprises. :D I would bet my money on the new 2011 Mustangs, they deserve to appear( as dozens of another models..), I would like them.

+1 Unlike most game developers, PD take their time to make a GOOD game, IMO thats PD's strong side. although its a pain to wait :banghead:

Could mean even models not yet launched IRL, like the BMW 3-series in GT4 which they modelled even before the press saw the first pictures.
2011 Mustang would be nice, hopefully alongside the new Camaro....:)

What people are saying here is true - it would be unrealistic to suspect that all 140 people (or whatever the number is!) would be working on implementing Move and 3D support. So, either most people in PD are winding down now and taking a well-earned break, or they are making use of the extra time to polish things up and include additional cars etc.

One thing's for sure, although it pains to wait, extra time can only be a good thing (you would hope!).

JP site updated an article and new pictures about last week ring24

Roll on E3. I do hope they will announce a relase date for the month after - I don't think I can take much more of this 'nothingness' around here.

This is an article just publish on www.PSU.com

Andrew House, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), has reassured PS3 owners that they won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on GT5, with the Polyphony Digital racer due to hit shops “soon.”

Speaking in response to questions submitted by eager fans, House scoffed at the notion that GT5 is "just a myth," adding, "ItÂ’s looking amazing and will be out soon."

All we know so far is that the game has been tagged with a 2010 release, with creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirming earlier this year that the project was roughly 90 percent complete.

Fingers crossed we hear more at E3.

He reassured nobody. The question/answer was complete joke.
We reassure ourselves.

I wonder... When was the first time, the really first time... that Soony used the word soon in a sentence like:
,,Gran Turismo 5 will be out soon"

I bet it's more than a year ago?

The 2011 mustang looks the same as the 2010 doesn't it?
Having said that, I'm still not sure we'll see many, if any, 2010+ MY cars.

They may look the same, but they are most definitely NOT the same. ;)

I think that was just after E3 last year, when they said: GT5 will be out soon after GTM

yeah it may look the same but car can be completly diffrent.

like R8 V8 and R8 V10... looks same eh ? :>

That's not a good example because they ( R8's ) still share the same shape whilst the new Mustang ( whether it's 2010 or 2011 model year I'm not sure ) is a new or at least heavily face-lifted model compared to the previous generation of Mustang.
They first appear to look quite similar, but take a better look and you'll realise they're quite different, and I actually prefer the new one.
Even a slight alteration can make a huge difference, and the new Mustang is more than slightly altered, it is completely overhauled..:)
