That's not a good example because they ( R8's ) still share the same shape whilst the new Mustang ( whether it's 2010 or 2011 model year I'm not sure ) is a new or at least heavily face-lifted model compared to the previous generation of Mustang.
They first appear to look quite similar, but take a better look and you'll realise they're quite different, and I actually prefer the new one.
Even a slight alteration can make a huge difference, and the new Mustang is more than slightly altered, it is completely overhauled..![]()
The 2010 and 2011 Mustang GT look identical, but the 2011 performs much better. The 2011 has a 5.0L engine compared to the 4.6 in the 2010 producing about 415 horsepower compared to about 320 horsepower.
