What's the deal with complaining about a feature you don't have to use? Some people might think that's a great feature and not have the time or desire to grind away for hours on end. It's an added feature that isn't integral to completing the game, if you don't want to use it don't. I've never used any of the carry overs in past GT games like the automatic licenses granted from GT1 to GT2 or the extra 100k starting credit from GT Concept to GT4. It defeats the purpore for me, but that said if someone else sees that option and thinks "this is great, it's just what I wanted" then fair play to them. They arn't hurting me or my enjoyment of the game.

Eh, I dunno. I think people are just trying to pass the time until March by complaining. ;)

I guess my issue is that if every PSP owner has a different colour veyron for each day of the week, it's not going to be that special, even if I earn it in GT5.

I guess you have a point. The fact that other people are going to be unlocking these expensive cars like they're nothing does kind of devalue the specialness of actually earning it within GT5 since it's all the same once online with the vehicle.

Dave A., the deal is simple. You don't allow a game which unlocks cars 10 times faster to be connected to GT5's garage. Sure, you don't HAVE to do it, buy why even allow it?

LOLZ B/C I WANTS TO HAS ALL THE CARS FROM GT MOBILE IN GT5. ITS MY RIGHT.

Not an excuse.

I see where everyone is coming from...now I hope it's not too difficult to unlock stuff in GT5, but I do want a nice challenge. And since I don't even have a PSP, I can't use the transfer feature anyways....but if I did have one....I still wouldn't use it.

Even if other players do use it...we can say, yeah well he probably got that car that fast from the PSP....but at least I know personally that I'll earn each car with my own hard work in GT5...

What the ...... I can't bewieve dis.

You mean to say you are not going to fall for Sony's "they will buy PSPs if we delay GT5 and put GT on the PSP with a earn connection" strategy?

I guess your just not a team player.
Or maybe your just not as dumb as they think you are. 👍

Doing exactly the samething!👍 I have always started GT games with the money they give you! GT5 will not be any different!!

Good point. My brother has a PSP, I will buy GTPSP tomorrow... It's a cool option that you can transfer it but I think I won't use it much (maybe if there would be an Alfa meeting and I need an Alfa, I would transfer it, it's not a strong car, it would be different with a Veyron). I will use it if the car isn't the strongest belong my cars from GT5 and when it's cheap, so this is, more or less, fair.

Another good point. But as long as I don't transfer these strong cars you can't complain much ;)

A point that I don't quite understand yet is that they say you can transfer your vehicles from gtpsp to gt5. Does this mean that every car in the psp version is included in gt5?
That would be a shame, since I rather see brandnew cars in gt5 than the models from two generations back where gtpsp is fulled with :yuck:

I can't find the quote but Kaz did say that not all GTPSP cars will be in. You can transfer the ones that are on both though.

I agree with you, I would like some surprises in GT5, as beings there is a 6 month gap between releases I am sure they can cram some more in.

This wait till March is going to take forever.

Sod the rewind feature a fast forward would be handy!

Well, if PD do it right, you might have to earn ALL the license first, before you can transfer them to GT5. Or there might be set rules to say you can't use X car before X number of game days, or something similar to that anyway. Personally, I don't agree with transfering cars, I don't even like the fact you get awarded cars for completing the licenses. 💡

Yeah totally, they should make you ride a bicycle first.

Rumor smash: GT5 weather conditions confirmed
4 Weather conditions (night/day cycle and rain) in Gran Turismo 5 have been confirmed today during an interview between French Gameblog and GT series producer Kazunori Yamauchi.

This feature was first revealed in a 8-minute long interview with fellow French JVN on September 28th, 2009. At first, this news was relieved by British website Gamezine (who didn't made any interview) but following the issue of IGN's own mini interview later the same day, Gamezine then claimed the weather conditions availability was unsure.

This rumor has now been smashed by Gameblog's latest interview which confirms the introduction of weather conditions in upcoming Gran Turismo 5.

As a teaser for the upcoming video version of the interview, Gameblog revealed additionnal informations as follows:
*there was an embargo upon GT5 interviews
*European release date close to March 2010 / official announcement is imminent
*day... and night races
*rain races are coming back
*tyre wear: refining of the grip loss
*950 vehicles garage
*20 locations around the world
*70 circuits variations
*new vehicle physics
*damage deformation of each part of the car... according to the speed and the impact's direction.
*replay upload on YouTube
*enhanced GT-TV + video export from the PS3 to the PSP
*on day one: possibility of uploading a hundred of vehicles acquired in GT for PSP... to be used in Gran Turismo 5

As already pointed out elsewhere on this forum, Day and night races and rain races doesn't necessarily mean 'dynamic' weather or time of day changes. We've already had 'Rain races' and 'Day and night races' in GT4.

ill be very surprised if there isnt day and night cycles for the 24 hour tracks only because it has been done before (grid). i doubt they will put it in tracks that dont have 24 hours. but the weather is an issues i know gt hasnt had it before, but i really hope the weather is dynamic.

If you've had to earn it then surely it will feel special to you? Besides, I've never found any GT game to be that big a struggle to earn enough credits to mad on car buying. If you don't use the feature then you can enjoy the game how you want to, grafting for each car, but if someone else wants a quick grab the cars and go fix then so what. Let them do that, they'll be missing on a large part of the experience imo, but it's their experience to miss out on should they choose to. They arn't going to affect my enjoyment of the game in any way. You're complaining for the sake of complaining.

Why allow it, because it's feature that some people might want perhaps? I've seen plenty of posts on here from people viewing the feature as a big plus point for GT PSP. Not everyone has time to graft and not everyone who has time to graft wants to graft, by giving people this option they're giving people a chance to open up the game how they want to without actually changing the game for thoes who like the initial graft the games generally offer. It's an extra feature, it's not changing the core game or affecting how you or I will play the game. Get over it.

then why not just have an option to unlock all the cars at the start of te game? I'm sure there are people who would think thats a good idea too.

because it ruins the game, thats why.

dose it affect me?

nope, dont care 1 bit.

exactly, doesnt mean that every track would be available to play at night or with rain

It's possible that PD has created a night and day versions of some tracks.

Tokyo R246 could have a night version, SS Route 5 a daytime version.
Where as tracks such as Grand Canyon will only be daytime.

:)

They have always been unlocked from the start in every GT, you just had to save up the money to buy it.

Dumbest thing I have read all day. Thank for that Justin

Is this directed at me?

If so, please use proper grammar, it makes it easier for me to read insults.

I want DYNAMIC Day and Night.. I wanna Start a Race at 5PM and finish at 9 PM with sunset and high moon in the sky!!!

I think what cudadude meant was unlocked as in already in your garage.

Transferring all your GTPSP cars into GT5 is a terrible idea. Thankfully you have the option to get GTPSP and you still have the option to do the transfer or not. People who transfer all 900 cars from GTPSP into GT5 are only robbing themselves in my opinion. I can maybe see it if they don't have enough time to collect credits and get them seeing that you can unlock cars in GTPSP 10x then in GT5.

Dynamic day night is essential for the 24 hour races. 24 hours of sun is a joke

About, return of night and wet weather, i'm afraid that it can be only wet, night and sunny variation of the circuit instead of dynamic weather:nervous:

Imagine, 20 location (sunny, variable, night and wet variation) = 80 in that case thre is only 20 track....****👎

I hope i'm wrong.
