I'm still under the impression that one thing that'll possibly be talked about more or at least expanded upon in almost full extent is WRC just as NASCAR was at E3. Of course just my prediction, but I wouldn't mind listening in on that.

Anyway it looks like there are 3 driving physics models now

begineer - like GT5 Prologue standard, tons of grip, and no oversteer in powerful cars. Kinda like GT4, but a little easier
Standard - a bit more oversteer etc for the controller pad users
Pro - more hardcore, need steering wheel

Loxstokk 's impressions

I’ve just got back from the beta rooms event in Birmingham. Played gt5 in 3D. The 3G effect was very subtle on the example I saw. The physics were excellent. There was beginner, intermediate and pro. Pro seemed v similar to gt academy demo. Extremely difficult on the narrow roads of the nurburgring. Intermidate was a great compromise of difficulty and feel. Beginner was similar to prologue standard. Graphics were excellent but we already know this. Toscana was beautiful, especially to day to night transitions and the way the headlights pick up different sign posts etc. Handling was slippy as you’d expect, nothing unusual for a rally racing game. There were however variations in the road surface, going from sand up gravel to some harder stuff ( not quite Tarmac). Damage was a lot more dramatic than I’ve seen on previous videos circling the web. Saw some people mash their cars up pretty good. Polyphony can now say they have the best damage physics on a console driving sim. Didn’t notice anydamage affecting the car handling. Thing that most impressed me? Probably the feel given by the new physics. Probably the best I’ve experienced from a driving game. Pretty close to real driving, and that is a massive complement. Spoke to a Sony guy about a uk release date, he said the “20th of November or around there”. Sorry if my writing is poor, I’m typing this on my phone.

Not gameplay, but I don't think I've seen this posted here:

Think I might have something to work with for a new video here (assuming I can find a WRC onboard with no commentary or no voice of the co-driver).

If thats not in game what is that? It looked in game that was a sweet video. Never saw that video before thanks 👍

Not gameplay like the videos being posted from the PS BETA, but it does seem in-game. In fact, that looks exactly like what we saw in this year's E3 trailer.

O ok 👍 Just looks different for some reason. Still a great video.

Will be posting my video up soon which also includes the replay of my go at the rally stage which looks just like the video posted above.

I believe that we will soon see more standard cars and some weather in the next demo.

Hopefully gameplay footage of the two.

Video I promised.

Is this video the final proof that standard cars WILL have cockpit view, but only blacked out? Look first at 0:20 and then at 2:05, that's the same yellow car (don't know the name, looks like a Corvette :dunce:) and it's cockpit is completely black. Maybe we had a proof for that before and I missed it, but it's new for me and I'm fine with it that way. :)
I just fear that it was just too dark in that moment to see everything :nervous:

The Citroën GT in the vid is the concept one that was built as it has gears!!-I would imagine both this and the fuel cell one from prologue would be included.

A quick (admittedly rough) comparison is here

When you jump to 0:20 you can see, that the Vette's windows aren't tinted, they are clear. You can even see the bright yellow bonnet through the rear window. Hence I'd say that it's a Premium...

I'd say so, because it is even listed as PREMIUM in the E3 demo car selection screen. ;)

@ 1:11

Because the short-term amnesia here is powerful when people want it to be!

We've known that Vette was Premium since E3...

Thus, leads to questions about racing these cars with standard muscle cars. Seems a bit odd that PD would have modeled the Corvette, Charger & Camaro cars as premiums, while leaving the remaining muscle cars as standards. Visually they look like standards, but the video quality makes it hard to tell. It can be seen that the word Premium is labeled with each of these cars, but I'm not so quick to jump to that conclusion. PD has had a history of mislabeling things. Logically these cars should be standards. This being a demo, the labeling might have been a oversight on PD part. I have no investment whether these cars have cockpit or not, just seem to be a irrational direction to go. :)

Logically these cars should be standards.

What logic is that?

Because some cars you would normally group them with are Standards? That's going to happen when you compare any Premiums with Standards.

There is no premium Charger, you probably mean the Challenger, and I don't find it odd at all to model some muscle cars as premiums and others as standard.

For the last time. Every car in the E3 demo is premium.

Standard, you say?

All the cars in the video are PREMIUM cars.

^ I would think so, because there are 2 versions of the CbyCT. One is the Prologue-spec fuel-cell; and another one is the Ford V8-powered "Road Car" that went on Goodwood.

^ Notice that small "GT" stripe on the road car. ;)

^^ That is one gorgeous car that Citroen.Sadly it won't make it to the production line. Please put this into production Citroen pretty please, with cherries on top.I'll buy you a cocktail drink, here in Croatia.

They scrapped the plans a week or so ago. They have another good looking car they're planning on bringing out though.

The lines recalls (somewhat) that of the ConceptGT on this luxury gran sport sedan

I remember there was also a smaller project car in the work, but i couldnt find it anymore... It couldn't be the DS3 R3, has to be something else
