At 3:34 you can see a Formula 1 (?) car on what appears to be Monaco. Does anyone know where this scene is taken from? I've watched every trailer of GT5 but I can't remember this scene.

Hell nah, if you noticed they even got the Blue-ish hue of the Top Gear cinematic style. As well as the angles, theyre very different from the GT replays, maybe there will be Top Gear challenges and Driving Missions!
 
I wonder why Top Gear does that? To set themselves apart from other automotive shows?

It's just a visual style they prefer I think, whatever you may think of the show the visuals are always spot-on and cutting edge in my opinion.

On that 5OUL ON D!SPLAY song, those lyrics make me cringe and will be one more reason to turn the music off or replace them with a custom soundtrack.
 
I hope there's a "Top Gear Cinematic" mode in the replay options. I remember GT3 having different "style" options for the replays, would be amazing to have Top Gear's blue filters and camera angles.

It's the first thing I thought when I saw the E3 trailer. It would be epic.

Yes I know what your saying and I hope as well. My favorite reply camera angle in GT5P is the roof top camera that has the fisheye effect. That camera angle imo makes the game a WHOLE lot more life like.
 
The same review was done on Fifth Gear, although the Evo was red, and the STi was blue.

Quite a race between Jason Plato and Tiff Needel.

The creator of the video edited that part out. Watch the GT5 prologue intro and you'll notice he/she cut to the GT40 right before the awkward tire motion occurs.

Are you sure? Because I thought that happened as soon as the cars started to drift.

Generally from what I've seen, those game sites are increasingly full of idiots. Every year, they have to pick as something and make it look horrible before its even out and looks like this time around, its Gran Turismo 5. I'm even willing to bet that GT5 will get low scores from alot of them because they are that biast and stupid. I wouldn't even bother reading Any of them anymore.

I do wonder how much complaining there'd be around these parts if one of the gaming sites had an artificially high score because of bias for GT. Mind, every single person out there is going to have some amount of bias on any particular subject in life.

I (and probably everyone here at GTP) have absolutely no problem with reasonable critics once the game is out, but right now such articles are just inappropriate.

I don't have a problem with sites being critical of GT5 already, prior to release. Well, provided it's not doctored video like that Kotaku post, that was without a doubt the blogger's fault for not at least checking the in-game clock as the easiest bit of proof. But criticizing the texture glitch serves a purpose; it brings the problem out in the open, and hopefully it can be corrected. I don't think anybody is assuming what we see now is 100% representative of the final product; we get those warnings before playing just about any modern demo, so I feel like people who play and review games for a living would be acutely aware of that.
 
Journalists - or people who deem to make authoritative statements for that matter - that make stupid errors and less than sound judgment calls might as well be shooting fireworks at a refinery. If criticism of video games is good for the games, then so is criticism of critics.
 
In case you didn’t know already Amazon has changed the UK release to November 26th :irked:.
 
I hope Amazon UK has got it wrong. I will be upset to come on here and read how epic the game is when the American's get it on 2nd November... knowing that we'd have to wait nearly a whole month. :nervous:
 
There hasn't been a set date at all for PAL. I just think Amazon is merely toying with the date. I'd only trust any sort of release date directly from Sony.

PS3 games are region free, so there is nothing to stop us from ordering an American copy to get it a few weeks early. If the UK release date is the 26th I will most definitely be importing the game from the US. For DLC it's easy to just buy an American PSN points card off Ebay too.
