Edit: "Cockpit Views" that totally recreate the interior and instruments of a car, have been prepared for over 200 cars. :( :( :(

Oh my god what a day! Just found out that I got the grades required for university and now I'm reading this lol Point to point racing is a feature that I would love and its in! Don't know how they can top this at TGS...
 
Kinda dissapointed about the cockpit thing, but hard to stay mad too long with all this new stuff.

String a bunch of different tracks together as stages and your set for Rally, except no co-driver, or maybe there is? ;)

Seems consistent with the "learn to drive" mode.
 
I see at least 19 dots on that track map, maybe 20, I wonder whats up with that.
 
Cool we may have automated indicator/hazard lights.It's a perfect inclusion for when cars suffer mechanical probs, then you can avoid an accident.

:cheers: Congrats! I just hope GT5 doesn't interfere with your academic career... I actually held off buying a PS2 (and GT3) until I was finished my studies which in retrospect would have to be the wisest decision I ever made :dopey:

:eek: I guess those are team names... either that or this game is so advanced, it can tell what kind of wine you are drinking merely from how erratic your driving is!

First names had real names, 2nd names had wine names. If it was 1st and 2nd pilots, the names to the right would be normal human names too.
 
On one of the screens where they are preparing for a race, it says "free run" in the top left corner, so im assuming we can just have like a track day for example on the circuits :D

I counted 20 dots on the minimap but 16 cars on the thingy at the top part of the pic. My guess for the wine names is that they are team names because that picture is from online.
 
On one pic I can count 18, on the other I count 20...we know for a fact there's 16 cars in the race though, since it says "Position: 5/16"
 
The number of tracks seems to be confirmed:(

"The selection of over 1000 cars and 20 tracks contained in Gran Turismo 5, has a purpose backed by history and culture."

I'm glad that GT5 contains a track creator:)
