No. Ive spent countless dollars just to get the right(or get back the right) rims.

Hopefully GT5 will establish Ownership of parts as well as cars, so you could in theory have different rims, body parts, mufflers from different tuners that have their own look\characteristics, and be able to transform your car very quickly.

Subaru Impreza 2010 sedan is an overall example no matter which car you want to reduce weight on? Seems like the selected car is a Ford Focus.
 
Phuuuu, finally back from GamesCom!:dopey:
So, first of all I broght some new footage with me,yes, and I was able to get almost all of the requested footage.:sly:
But before giving it to you, I'll tell how my day there was.:dopey:
Alright, after having slept for only 2 hours, I got up at 06:00 am today, started the drive with my pals and Köln was finally reached at 11:00 am. The GT5 pods were reached at 11:30 am and I was ecstatic to be one of the first ones to play the demo and to take all the footage. But what I saw just shocked me I tell you, all pods were already manned and DOZENS of others were already waiting! I mean it is a THURSDAY morning, where people normaly work or go to school, but not in good old Germany as it seems.:boggled:

I just tried to film SOMETHING, than realized that people take always the same old, boring cars we already know, and from that on, I was depressed. So I asked my buddy to wait with me there until I can drive at least one time and he would be the camera man, he agreed. The video, which was taken by him was actually the best I have right now, after that I thought- whatever, just forget it and we decided just to walk around and see what we can play or descover, was quiet fun actually- I tried out the new WRC game on ps3 and I can tell you people this game is very bad, I mean it's bad.

Anyways, after 2 hours I got bored and decided to go back to GT5 and try my luck at taking some "usefull" footage and yeah...there was sth. interesting to capture from time to time.

But than I saw a pot with a time limit (all the others had none, so the people were racing sometimes for 20 minutes or longer), and I noticed that the interest there was not that big. That is why I played there for the next 3 hours or so:lol: and always asked people standing by to take footage of me with my camera.:p

All in all it was pretty fun there, espacially because I could drive some 15 times or so!👍

Well, whatever, I'm going to start to upload the vids soon.

EDIT: Just noticed that the quality is not the best, oh well...

May be, on GT3 there was always a Toyota Supra somewhere in the setup screen (don't remember exactly where :P) and GT4 used a Lancer EVO for the wheight reduction screen IIRC.

the current car is a Focus, but the person happens to be in the Sub Modification / Part area... you just will / would not able to finalize the purchase because the current car does not match the "shop"... that's how it was before in previous GTs.
 
Haha, I just noticed that the uploading will take like 10 hours or more (of all the vids).

I don't know if it was the wheel setup or sth. (G25 or 27), but the physics were just off, just not right, rather arcady. The graphics were really poor, very bad textures and a lot of aliasing, on top of that I didn't like the rack design and layout at all. If you're a WRC fan, like me, you should try it out, rent it, I will do anyway, but the demo was just bad.

Ahhh it just occured to me why the Weight Redux is so cheap, it says Body\Chassis as the main menu and the sub menu says Chassis Weight Reduction.

So Body Weight Redux and Chassis Weight Redux are now entirely separate, says alot about the other aspects of the tuning shop, possibly Brand name car parts to be had.???

But what does it say about Tuner Village is that gone? Will the parts live on through the main GT AUTO tuner? Like choices of different turbos suspension etc based on tuner compatibility (Hondas cant fit NISMO Nissans cant fit Spoon?) Or just generic GT AUTO Brand?

So much info with still so many questions!

Yeah i just noticed that too, Am just hoping for some really deep options. I mean i'd appreciate some automatic/bundle if you may. For example for those who don't understand how to do a step by step reduction could just do a stage 3 and it does all for you.

I also want visual customizations like side skirting, spoilers etc. The lack of interiors for the standard cars don't matter to me as much as these things. :)

Are you sure? The icons were indeed unselectable, but I thought they were crossed out or faded? Since there's no visual indication of this then it leads me to believe the impreza is an overall example
 
Loving the vids, especially the vastly improved smoke and dust effects, not a deal breaker but after this long it's the kind of graphical improvement we deserved to get :p

The only thing from the videos I've seen that bothers me is the somewhat overly vibrant colours, especially the grass at Monza for example, it seems practically luminous green! I hope it's a bit more muted (read: realistic) when seen in the flesh and that this is just a result of the recordings being made by camcorder and uploaded to YouTube.

OTher than that for me I'm liking everything I've heard, though the B-SPec race manager feature isn't something that strikes me as being a part of the game I'll ever really touch. I might be wrong but really my love for this game is going to be getting my hands on the cars and the tracks, especially with the brilliant handling as seen from the GT Academy demo. CANNOT WAIT to thrash an F1 car round Monza and who knows what other tracks!

As for the track editor, I rather like the relative simplicity of it and the fact that when you just fancy some cathartic driving you can stick on a randomizer and go to town, like taking a ride in the country down roads you've never been before. Effectively you have infinite unique drives available now should you get bored of the standard tracks. Love it!

Does indeed seem to be a proper bonnet cam.
Or is it because of the lenght of the bonnet, giving the apperance from a roof cam.

I did, but I admit it's not very long, neither good, someone else was driving and I tried to capture as much different cars as I could you know? Let's just hope someone else has better footage uploaded untill monday, there's some time left.

Edit: I warn you some hours could pass untill it's up.

I understand, I appreciate your efforts. Any footage of the GT MKIV is better then what we got, which is nothing
