What's up with the Wine names on the pictures above??

LOL  are they showing what the drivers are drinking while driving??

This game might not be that politically correct after all :P

I'm sure most have, but if you haven't already, you should read the pieces about the classic "Cars of '67" on the offical website. I think that alone really shows how PD feel about cars and not just making a game :)

I notice that earlier this morning from Jordan's interview!!
Very nice touch from the man.

That's what makes him so different from other car game developers

I love it how Kaz is helping us recreate real life scenarios that are impossible to happen.

Just like those Soccer or football video games... MADDeN or FiFa...

Fantasy races... I am mean Forza 3 sorta give us that opportunity as well...
but there is something about GT that just push things a bit higher and further...

(sorry to bring the comparo again, i would love for Forza to give GT a run for the money, but i still feel that Turn10 fell a bit short, better luck next time)

I honestly believe that PD will constantly update GT5 with new themes for us to use in the course maker. that way the variation of tracks people make can increase.

If that's true, 👍 we are in good hands!

Check the behaviour of the dust at the start, it's different once again

I know Kaz actually collects wines as a hobby, so it might be a humorous ( or slightly mocking ) reference to that fact.

Sorry if this video was already posted!

That ign interview sounded like petrolhead heaven.Awesome.I think the only way to improve on GT5, i think could be to add more features.Possibly give GT6 more personalised things, like decorating your own garage with car paraphernalia & shelved awards.More premium cars like the P4, GT40 & the Jaaaaaaag lol.More cars from across the board & probably more real race tracks.Where's Leguna Seca fellas, not seen it yet.

I don't know:nervous:. I hope it's in.

Imagine for a second that , right before release, or when you pop the game into the PS3...

there is at least a Porsche car??

OMG! That my friend would be the bomb!!! Pure joy...

and then you see a full livery editor available...

and cockpit in all the cars...

.... i am setting myself up for real disappointment....
but it somehow felt so nice dreaming :P :p

That would be perfection! ... heaven on earth

Any word on car customization/tuning? i found this one image on IGN's flicker but they didnt say anything about it. Any news?

Well considering that this is a ps3 game. It is not news that they include these features which was done in games 5 years ago.

Ehhh what?

Am so excited for this game. This is one of the main reasons i got a PS3.

re the dust, it isn't being blown about by the wind as much as it was in some videos, could be the wind changes all the time

About this pic again - it appears to be online B-Spec. AI name and then human name

That in my opinion might be the name of the teams that each driver is representing. I don't see how B-spec will work online.

All second name looks like wine or drinking name :sly:

I really love the way that the smoke just drifts away after lingering in the air for a short time, instead of disappearing.

I have been having similar dreams, but i think am in denial.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. We've seen a video or two sowing the AI swerving around stopped/slow cars, but we've seen 10x as many vids where they just ram into those cars. I'm sure PD is still working on the matter though.

B-Spec shows suspension and engine graphic, Im sure it will display engine and suspension damage with red to orange to yellow to green just like the tires

This should ease some people's minds about the number of cars on track

That's for the online mode.

These images are mockups judging by the sector/current/last lap times. The car list doesn't match up at all with what's happening on screen either.

I don't doubt that B-Spec will allow for 16 cars on track. I just want to see someone actually driving, themselves, against 15 other cars on track :)

"Cockpit Views" that totally recreate the interior and instruments of a car, have been prepared for over 200 cars.

But the others may be partial recreate

Hehe. YESSSSSSS, someone is going to try this again! :D

I don't want to sound like the usual debbie downer, but am I the only one who thinks the course creator WON'T provide limitless possibilities? A lot of people are saying how the layouts will be endless but from what I read, you don't actually get to pick the exact layout, how each corner looks. You pick a terrain, then for each section you pick what type of corners you want and then the computer generates a track based on that, correct? In that sense it looks limited to me.

I've been wondering about that, about exactly how many different possible layouts are possible given the parameters. Sorta like how we all thought GT4 used car lots (or PSP's car lots in general) were random, but a pattern was soon found for each. I'm sure there is a limit to this track creator, but I imagine we'll all have to fiddle with it for a while before we figure that out.

In that video there was also no sparks in the evo crash at beginning, which is good

and that despite their best efforts to respond to criticism about standard car interiors, they were not able to implement cockpit camera (even one similar to GTPSP’s) in GT5 – a source of some disappointment to Kazunori, who is never happy to let down his fans and is probably his own biggest critic.

And also, in the HUD on the picture above are those indicators?

Looks like sparks are next on the list for tweaking then.

In regards to the wine names, without sounding like a PD stalker, if I remember in the same place they keep their massive servers Kazunori keeps his wine collection, maybe its a little pun by the team?

What I am curious about is since Kaz said there is no livery editor whats the deal with the stealth cars having blank number plates? If there is no editor are they always going to be blank? I doubt it because all the cars on the track would be the same.

Don't know nothing about wine. Except it gives me a bad head.
Perhaps where the wine originates from is actual locations in the game.

Stranger things have happened with wind and skypaths etc.
Just needs some intrepid keyboard warrior to find the locations of the wine.

I can't do it, I'm washing my hair tonight.

Has there been any mention about indicators (or turn signals, whatever you wish to call them), as on the HUD of the picture with the white Skyline a few posts up those icons to the left of the current gear sure look like indicator icons. Or is it something to do with B-Spec? :)

Not sure where he keeps it but I'll quote myself ( written a page back ).:)

Who fails? And why?

Start making sense in your posts.

+1
It really sucks when you click on this thread and read something senseless like that 👎

Would be cool if it's really a dig at KY's wine collection :)

Cigs and wine. Kaz is awesome.
