Could the male ego be the sole reason why female drivers have been excluded from most if not all driving\racing games???? Can we not stand to be beaten even virtually by a woman??

If Sabine, Katherine or Michele wanted to come and have a go, I'm sure Polyphony Digital would be quite happy to let them set their best lap on GT5 for everyone to smash - just for the fun of it. It wouldn't be very rewarding to beat these ladies, pretty sure there's no "strip" mode in GT5 - nor do I think they'll be giving out their mobile numbers or handing out pink slips, V5's (or equ). :sly:

Sabine has proven she knows the ring and can drive better than most men (especially Clarkson, whos driving style she made fun of) Michele Mouton lost (2nd) the 1981 World Championship to Walter Rohl ONLY because of mechanical failures, her driving was always top notch stuff.

Clarkson..... Doesn't he drive around with the wheel in one hand and a mobile phone in the other? Maybe if he actually took Sabine more seriously rather than just hoping he might get in her knickers... :) I'd like nothing more than to see Clarkson having a go at GT5 Nurburgring against Sabine in some future episode of Top Gear, followed by a race on the real track...

But at all I got to say , I dont know how it's called , field of view?!
I had the feeling in the demo that it was a little zoomed it. Things appeared closer to you than they really are.
especially bumper and chasecam had this problem imo. Don't know how other who played it feel about that , but I really noticed it..

I think you are putting a little too much thought into this - I'm sure PD just didn't think about it. :) If it makes you feel better, PGR4 had fictional women drivers as competitors. :D
 
why does EA have to be such a douche and not allow porsche, which is one of the most successful car manufacturer in the world, into gt5. i dont understand how they can get away with owning the rights to a car company like that.

Love the fact this is suddenly becoming an issue :lol:, like you said it probably didn't even crossed their minds but that's often indeed a large part of the problem in the first place.
PD, if you take notice, you could solve this "problem" once and for all if you use unisex or gender-neutral names for AI drivers.
Some suggestions:

Leslie, Kerry, Morgan, Marion, Jody, Casey, Angel, Lee, Dana, Kelly, Guadalupe, Tracy, Ariel, Lynn, Francis, Sydney, Shannon, Carey, Jan, Yong, Alva, Taylor, Merle, Young, Hong, Lavern, Ivory, Trinidad, Rene, Shelby, Cruz, Dominique, Gale, Carrol, Robin, Alexis, Cleo, Devon, Courtney, Kim, Blair, Jean, Paris, Britt, Chong, Aubrey, Shawn, Jordan, Elisha, Stacy, Laverne, Lacy, Dee, Kasey, Augustine, Christian, Carroll :D

Comeon! I've seen PD staff pics, plenty of women, are they like those stereotypical Japanese submissive types with baby voices?

You would tthink one of them was like Hey, I see alot of Koichi and no Manami, wassup with that?

NO wonder women are like extinct on these boards and in GT in general.

And dont tell me they dont like racing, THEY LOVE mario kart!

Does anyone have the new 66 images in a .zip or know if another website has the full size images. I'm trying to gather them up for my screensaver images and every file name is different so I can't batch download. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Just a list I copied from a site as they seem to be equally used for gals and guys apparantly, not compiled by myself as some do seem a bit far-fetched.:lol:

maybe porsche need the money from EA to pay the failed takeover attempt of VW...! :D i think there were a few billion (i don´t know if i am written this correctly)
 
Ref brakes & aerodynamics.....

If you look at the trailers that show roll over, you can see under-trays and of course some cars have spoilers pre-fitted. Whether or not these parts can be fitted to all cars is an interesting question, but why someone would actually want to fit an under-tray or a spoiler to a Fiat 500 is a better one. Why not just buy a better car? Forza may let you do almost anything you like to a car, but I see that as more of a joke than anything else. In real life it's the exception not the norm to upgrade everything about a car just so you can compete in a different class!

The body / chassis screen shot implies that the rear of the car may be modifiable - lets say maybe - to add a spoiler but it's best to keep in mind that "aerodynamics" are not always easily seen. Tuning certain facets such as ride height make a difference to *aerodynamics* and thus performance.

You're welcome , well it's not the games fault , the TV had wrong settings , parts of the HUD like the G meter are cut off from the screen :indiff:

Sorry about the terrible compression. It looks much better once you actually have it up on your screen. It has just about every great HD photo released so far. I would say there about 140 in all.
