I think since GT5.prologue and to what we have seen of GT5, They greatly increased the overall contrast, and the game's slightly more saturated. GT5 doesn't really seem 'Like' real life, but, a fantasy life (No problems with that, by all means, its a videogame). Especially when comparing real life tracks with GT5 tracks you notice the grass is always the perfect shade of healthy green, but in real life, thats rarely the case. Although seismica talked about adjusting contrast on your t.v. manually, I still think this is one of the things they need to improve in the game itself. While GT4 was a very "Dark" looking game, compared to next gen titles, The overall colours, shades for enviroments seemed much more realistic. GT5 certainly gets the colours right when it comes to the car manufacturer paints, however, I can't say the game looks realistic (Graphics solve that) with other colours, just pretty. The game is great to look at, and you can never go bored with how colourful it is, But upon release I hope they just slightly tone it down. GT5 made a paradise, not reality, but Im happy with that! However, Its hard to look at "GT5 vs. Real life comparison shots" and not instantly know that, it isn't near real life, and nothing never will.
