I think I can still say just by looking at videos of FM3 on YouTube GT5 already looks over 1,000 times better.

yeah FM looks definitely worser than GT! anti aliasing...

Although I've never actually played FM3 (or any FM game for that matter) I think I can still say just by looking at videos of FM3 on YouTube GT5 already looks over 1,000 times better.

GT5 will make FM3 look like Mario Karts on the Super Nintendo.

The point of that post is what, exactly? Other than you telling us that you're whole perception of FM is based on YT videos.

The problem is, it isn't much better if you play by yourself.
I couldn't play it with a wheel but with a controller the game just sucks after 10-20 hours.

It's another fair and unbiased view, of course!

They said they could tell Gran Turismo 5 looks better from watching Youtube videos. I don't know about you, but I don't consider someone's opinion regarding a game's graphics to be their full perception of its quality. For example, Live For Speed looks like crap, but it's driving physics are stellar compared to anything Forza can throw at them, or even Gran Turismo 5. Although I must add that this does nothing to stop Forza also driving like crap.

Jeez, is it really that bad? I was thinking about getting it.

Very repetitve and pretty boring in all honesty.

The AI settings aren't well judged meaning that the first two difficulties are really, really easy and then the last one is too hard.

That said, it does have cars like the 911 GT1 (road and race cars), F1 GT, EB110 that we'll probably never see in GT and I wish we could.

I remember that HKS GTR Heath1, for me it was almost impossible to turn on the test course.

Hmmm... what other game(s) have I played that fits those two things... hmmm.

The hyperbole in here (specifically that Youtube FM3 comment) is hilarious.

It's the 180SX one in the pic, and yeah, that had horrible handling. The R33 GT-R was a lot more reasonable but it wasn't as quick in a straight line.

Firstly, I agree that FM3 should not be judged just by watching videos. But neither should GT5 by that logic, therefore all premature judgements on standard cars just became 'hilarious' by your reckoning, would you not agree? (the poly arguement not the cockpit side of the debate)

Just to let you all know Gamestation's across the UK will be holding a Midnight Launch for the game I'm doing the one in Woking hopefully shall be an epic evening very exciting! :D

No, it hasn't. We have separate videos from IDENTICAL and original source, PD, showing the best quality of premium and standard. Unless you're saying that PD made the standard cars look worse than they are? Standards are based on their visual comparison to the premiums and the videos clearly show the difference.

Check your definition of "hyperbole".

Judging by videos has it's merits (we can get rough ideas, but only on graphics, and watching anything that's recorded off-screen can't be relied on for much), but "already looks over 1,000 times better" and "GT5 will make FM3 look like Mario Karts on the Super Nintendo"? Seriously? Kids need to get outside more.

Dave - Not you, I don't actually see any hyperbole

Right it was the 180SX thanks.I need to eat/drink more eggs & soya milk :)👍.

Is that aimed at me? I hope not because I have only just got in from a long day of golfing and football.

he was talking about whoever made the mario kart comment

Urgh, imo GTP has just become one big GT5 vs FM3 arguement, can't we all just get along?

Forza 3 Ultimate Collection Wants to Crash the Gran Turismo 5 Party

They do have some good things in DLC, like nurburgring track lol and added more cars including the Mclaren MP4 12C. So may be it is not be bad thing for 360. Having said that it is not a sim at all and gfx are bad, cartoony as well. I think people should get F1 2010 or may be nfs game instead of Forza. Comparison with GT is a joke

From what I've read, an important thing to do for this "ultimate edition" is to raise the consistency of the content - starting with the car models, and the circuits, too.

It could well take an initial dent from GT5, but, on the other hand, GT5 seems set for the long-term.

Microsoft are smart. They're re-releasing the game with all the DLC, bumping the car (And track) count up, so it wont look as bad beside GT5, (Not in terms of Graphics of course :D). For the 360 player, Its a great buy, your getting all of the DLC at the same average new games price, $60 (Assuming, They will Put forza 3 on a price drop before, and then re-release the game. Similiar to what BF:BC2 is doing now). Nobody said PS3 gamers would buy This instead (Maybe they will), but This game is for the Xbox (Hence, xbox exclusivity), not PS3, so Why are people busting its balls?

I for one, wouldn't do this. With all the DLC, What maybe 500 cars? Thats still half of GT5's. Even if Turn 10 actually work on the game (bursting DLC to put in the game) they still won't even come close, and even more, It would be more smart and efficient if they worked on Forza 4 instead, making cars for that, and spending time on a game they hope will compete with Gran turismo 5, not this, this wont.

Somebody may want to start a thread or post as a story on the main page...ign has reported that the flag issue at piazza del campo has been resolved. Ky has tweeted that the issue has been fixed by simply deleting the flags and is upset about it because he believed the flags to be beautiful and a great inclusion to the track

Agreed. If Greenawalt hadn't made that pathetic, desparate speech about Kaz having apparently "handed the baton over to him," Forza would have been considered to be nothing but another, second-rate arcade driving game by an overwhelming proportion of racing fans. No one would think about making comparisons with Gran Turismo for a second.

if someone owns a ps3 and they like racing games, they're buying gt5 regardless of what happens.

it's free promo for that place, why wouldn't you want it to be in the greatest racing game franchise?

True, you could say the same about GT, but then if they're both the same in those aspects then you have to start talking about both on a basic playing level. I enjoyed driving the TT demo of GT5 more than I do a few laps of a track in FM3. I can't quite fathom why but it's just down to personal preference I guess.

I bought FM3 after really enjoying the demo, once I got the full game, I found I really couldn't be bothered with the career mode because it was mind numbing. Not judging it off Youtube videos but by my own experiences with the game.
