TGS or better, the month November, can't come soon enough.;)

HAHA before I was waiting for GDC and did not expect big news and I was wrong. Now I am even more excited for TGS in one month, and in 2 months the GAME!!!!

After the game everyone will be waiting again for DLC, Patches, Improvements etc.. Man the waiting never stops. Oh did I mention GT6 and PS4? oh man:scared:

I'm almost dreading TGS. Just imagine what will happen if not enough or any "good info" is released? Then we'll have 6 weeks of panic and chaos.

I think TGS will show more tracks with day and night cycles, maybe few locations will have weather effects. More info about internal and external damage for cars, as well images of cars being dirty from a race. Few more cars revealed. Some Classic GT Tracks may be shown, as well detailed info about customization. I think that is what is left for GT5 game to be yet revealed.

Well you could always "unplug" I guess and I think the worst possible news ( S and P ) has already been announced, things can only get better ( I hope ).

Translator San in a dress?
Seems like a bloke. Strange breed these upperclass sorts.

Translator San would be prettier than the "block" :yuck: Strange indeed :p

I'd say she's just part of the Goodwood committee.
Regarding whether this woman is Mrs Kaz, i would agreed with you...
but we are not in England here, this is Pebble Beach California ... ;)

Must have been colder in 2010.

She is practically wearing the same dress every year, and the exact same hat... Or is that Kaz who goes to change for every car?

I think the lady in the dress is part of the tradition, but why are we talking about her and not the cars?

Does anybody else hate the 3,2,1, start countdown sound in GT games. It has been like that since GT1 i think. I find the sound really annoying.

I love it. It's part of the Gran Turismo experience, wouldn't be the same without them.

Why does almost everyone insist that having a rear-engined layout is "wrong"?
That's precisely where I'd want my engine to be, for traction and interior packaging benefits. That said, I do love a driving challenge.

Well, the original design of a rear engined sports car had flaws that outweighed the benefits of a rear mounted engine. In the early days of the 911, it simply did not work.

But through their engineering advancements, they have made it work. It's thanks to them that a rear engine layout is no longer considered wrong (Even though I said that in my post, it's not my personal view, just a generalisation :)).

I agree.

also the jazzy elevator tune in the menu screen. GT would not be the same without it:dopey:

Correction : You will be in panic and chaotic.

WE will have GT in a month.:sly:

Another question, does anyone care about Opel or Vauxhall? Opel is not a small manufacturer either. I wonder if they will reappear in GT5 or maybe even get some premium-cars.

Well I guess Opel/Vauxhall are still in GT5, whether we'll see any of them appear in Premium guise depends on whether any new models of their range are added, personally I wouldn't mind the Insignia VXR but at this point it's purely speculative ofcourse.;)

I do Zoidfile, we might get the Manta & the 70's Opel GT hopefully. The Manta was a successful rally car too, plus was the same in Rallycross. Also we could get the Monaros.

Can someone explain why this porsche subject comes up so often?

Agreed! I don't get the big hype for Porsche. They are nice and all, but seriously, we have VW and Ruf, so why all the fuss? I would rather have a 87-93 5.0 Mustang, than Porsche in GT5. Heck, I would rather have a Shelby Dodge Omni GLHS or Dodge Daytona Iroc RT (DOHC 2.2L, forged bottom end, Lotus designed head, and a T3 turbo making 224 hp stock) than a Porsche in the game, since Ruf is in and is close enough. Kaz likes to use rare cars, and those 2 Dodges fit the bill. Only 500 Omni GLHS' were produced (1 year only for this particular model), and less than 500 (426, I think) Daytona Iroc RTs were produced in a 2 year production run. My dad had an Iroc RT, and that thing would haul the mail!

I'd love to see a GLHS in GT5, but I don't see it ever happening. :grumpy:

Same reason we get the people in the S vs P thread popping in on a consistent basis saying they "know" Standards will be close to Prologue quality and/or all cars will have cockpit view ;).

Saying Ruf is close enough to Porsche is like saying us getting the SRT8 Challenger and the Viper ACR in the game means nobody should want any other Dodges.

The problem (for lack of a better term) with Ruf is that they focus almost exclusively on the road cars from Porsche. Without the official big P, we're missing out on a ton of some of history's most important racing cars. Not to mention a lot of their non-911 road cars. Just as you want a Fox body and GLHS (and hey, I do too... and once the Jalopnik pack comes out for FM3, it seems that game will be the first ever with the Omni!), there are a lot of people who really want Porsches.

This topic of Porsches came up, almost exactly the same way, in the Car List thread last month.

And besides whether they're to be desired or not is a bit irrelevant anyway as Kaz clearly wants them in and it's only a licence issue which excludes them.
Porsche doesn't begin and end with the 911, although it clearly has a big part in their history.

Doesn't look like a squashed Beetle now does it?

Not bothered about Porsche really, what about the 959, 993 GT2, Flatnose 911, 928 S4, 912, 356, the first 911 RS, 968, 944 turbo, 924 Le Mans, 917 Short Tail.

I agree.

In GT4 I ended up having to turn it off, it eventually got on my nerves. I wonder how will GT5s tune make me feel and how long it will take to mute?

On the topic of Porsches, I don't really care for the cars themselves, but it would be really nice to have some 911s in, and I would rather seeing them than a couple of old Foxboy Mustangs:indiff:

Look at Gangi's upper lip, looks like he had a little TOO much fun in Germany!

That Jessica Lopez chick is friggin' HOT!

OMG LOL. I'm an Anglo-Quebecer but listening to that dude saying those French words made my palm make contact with my face lol.

I don't either, but I would rather have it than Porsche.

On a side note, I just found out what GLHS means (Goes Like Hell Shelby/Sm'more)

I think Datsun would be listed under Nissan

AWWW MAN that's not cool, shes like an image of perfection!
Besides she's way out of their league.

Come on now, that's what they call a "special report" sure the reporter was "special" alright, i just hope their 2nd part is more "in depth".

Andreas Nie has that deer in the headlamps thing going on, he's very self centered, always referring to his point of view or opinion instead of general facts. He belongs on this board.

👎 :grumpy:

Porsche has a racing history that no Mustang or Dodge will ever match.
Least of all the 5.0 Mustang :yuck:

The 5.0 Mustang basically saved the Muscle Car in the US, and reignited the Muscle Car wars. If it wasn't for them, I don't think we would have the new Camaro and Challenger. If drag racing is in GT5, it would be a sin to not have a 5.0 Mustang. In my opinion, I would rather have what I have listed. Porsche is great and all, but I don't a giddy about them like others.

Wasn't that what we were having the past days before and after Gamescom?
