I was actually really looking forward to watching that F1 practice. Until I clicked LIVE NOW or whatever and then I'm bombarded with 15 pop up ads right over the stream, where it says to 'close ad to start' and there is no where to close them.. Cool.

Click the tiny "x close" on the ad. Every once in a while an add at the bottom will pop up and you just click the 'x'.

Probably not, but the mods already warned us this week for off topic discussions, so please keep it on GT5.

I know GTP enforce some iron laws on how people should post and what they should post, does that cover misogyny and comments such as yours?

Anyway, this leg humping is starting to get Jade Raymond levels of creepiness, I'll stick to Veronica Belmont, because that solifelike.gif goes well with GT5 :D

Now on-topic... many cars had cockpits modeled on the showroom in GT4, like the GSX-R/4 and that Toyota Sera (sp), but if they make a comeback in the Standard cars list I guess PD will just ignore this fact and make use of only bumper\bonnet\roof\chase cam on them.

And with the discussion about the difference in level of detail in GT5, is anyone worried about which version will of the car will get "reworked" to fit in the Standard cars list? (I mean, between the showroom and the race version the GSX-R/4 used a cover over the passenger seat, things like that)
 
We need a TGS teaser trailer :D
 
I would rather see GT5's intro at my home, when GT5 finally comes out ;)

That's one thing I don't want to see before I start the game by myself :)
I'm hoping for a new trailer showcasing the final damage model inclusive gorgeous rollovers :D

Speaking of the intro, do you think that there will something like a "introduction" this time? Like in FM3, where you are put into an Audi R8 as soon as you start the game for the first time?


My idea:
After starting the GT Mode, the screen goes black and you can't see anything ...then there is something like "Press ?-Button for headlights" and once you did that the headlights of a SLS AMG (because that's obviously THE car in GT5) are on and you can see that you are on track "?" at night and you have to drive a complete lap (with the game telling you how to accelerate/brake/etc.). After some turns it suddenly begins to rain and after a few more you can see that the sun is rising in the background :D

Would be something like a tutorial for beginners or a tech demo to showcase those amazing new effects :)
 
New Video from RaceSimCentral... Can't hear the car, but the driver's decent at least... Well, compared to the reporters >.>... I saw some pretty cool things about the skidmarks though... looks like they do reflect sunlight, something that I don't think is in many other games.



It also sounds like more will be on the way... Hope for sounds? :)

Seriously if you meant the Jay Leno Tank Car, it's a convertible or roadster and these cars had a visible interior in GT4 as well as they are part of the exterior model on these types of cars ( think about it ).
No point in stating this as proof Standards will have cockpit view as they don't unfortunately, just getting people's hope up without any reason.
 
i know this may be a bit late in the day, but what other aspects of other racers would you like to see in gt5?, or what other aspects of the motoring world would work well?

for instance, i very much like the corner master system in Shift, afterall alot of motoring heritage is built up on the reputation of certain corners and achieving them was quite ,well i guess, 'fufilling'.

Great driving Venari, who cares about one little tire that played in the dirt. I'm sure that car was a handful and looks like GT4 has paid off for ya Mark.👍

My hope right now is that there will be no more news or anything about GT5 until release-day, then we would get all the news in our own home the first time we play it, the biggest moment in gaming-history ever. I know it won`t be so, but I really hope it would:)

Watching this video made me think that it`s actually not bad with bumper-view anyway. So I`m no longer worried about the "no interior-view"-thing anymore.
 
There has always been new info at TGS. Its PD's home turf. KY will probably make a stage appearance. I would expect some form of demo of GT life or multiplayer.
