Hey got this from the Gran Turismo Forum. Pretty neat.
a Porsche racing in the rain at night at Spa with 16 cars online crashing and flipping over a barrier and landing upside down on fire

What concerns me from this image, is the lack of intermediate/wet tyre option. We have heard about weather incorporation, but there is currently no suggestion of wet tyres being modelled. The sports tyre, is not a racing wet tyre.
Now its possible, that the wet tyres are included with the slick racing tyres but simply aren't modelled for this image. It's also possible that wet tyres are in a special section with the dirt and snow tyres. It's perhaps a little early for my concern after all.
The red bar behind the throttle meter is for traction control. Red is what your pedal registers, white is what you getting after the traction control has done it's job. If you turn off traction control the bar won't show up
I know Gran Turismo doesn't have a story line or characters but.. I just finished playing Mafia II and the story line could have went for alot longer. I've been thinking just the past few minutes there about games and how short the story lines are lately. COD MW2 really wasn't that long either so am I the only person who's worried about GT5 being too easy and quick to finish? I know it won't matter anyway because there's heaps to do still after you finish it but still it seems games developers these days are becoming rather slack in how quickly you can finish a game. Because KY said that it will be better for 'casual' gamers too.
Are you comparing Call of Duty to GT? Is this your first GT? If yes, then don't fear, you won't be done after 20 hours ...and probably not even after 50, 100 or 200![]()
No, not my first GT and not comparing any games at all. Just saying that games seem to be shorter these days compared to games of say.. the 1990's or '00's. I've never 100%'d a Gran Turismo game and I like that about it.. always something more to do. I'd hate to just sit down with GT5 and 17 hrs of game play later the thing is 100%. :S GT MUST offer bucket loads of hours worth.

EDIT: was this posted already? http://www.justpushstart.com/2010/08/28/gran-turismo-5-offers-hard-drive-install/
The good thing about GT5 is that you can`t really be completely done with, there are many endurance races, some hard races, you drive to earn money to buy 1000 cars, it`s obvious, this will take time. And don`t forget the online feature, I assume new online events will come out frequently, new cars will be launched and so on. I`m still playing GT5P, trying to set better times and crawl the lists.
Set an online time trial on every car, on every track. That should keep you busy for a good while, and you haven't even touched the other parts of the game!![]()
Just the great new physics, 1000+ cars, and track editor alone should equal endless gameplay, add the indepth online mode and you got a game that has limitless replay value, not even mentioning the customization/tuning, photomode, A-spec/B-spec career mode, 24hr enduro's, etc.

Step Brothers ftw! 👍so many, so many activities! Its making my head spin with all the activities we can do. (will ferrell anyone?)
Reading these posts about how long the game is going to last reminds me of the time some troll told me GT5 will get boring in a month.![]()
