But thats 2010 they dont have time to make porsche for GT5 march launch. Hmm? Maybe a future DLC or GT6.
Who told you they haven't created perfect 3d models yet? Anything is possible.

edit: coiler already answered that

They mentioned in the past that it takes them 2-3 months to model each cars add to that there is damage effects, so it means additional time and resources. Best guest, DLC in the future for more Replay value for GT5

2-3 months of man time, not real time. That part of any game is always very time consuming, and you'll often have big graphics departments, with people coming and going, work wise. Contract, kind of.

some interestng tidbits on damage, and NASCAR rules ingame. maybe they implimented the NASCAR rule that if you start to pull away from the pack, someone throws a wrapper on the track so that they can throw a dabris yellow.

I was interested in the part where they talked about the sensitivity of the damage system, and that they could make it so that even a small collision could end your race. Hopefully they let us choose in the options how sensitive we want it.

Porsche has exclusive contract with EA and M$ forza. Money matters always

umm, didn't EA's exclusive Porche/Lambo/Ferrari license expire in 2000 or something? If I remember right, they were working on Underground and decided to let they contracts expire. And Obviously, MS does have an exclusive license with Porsche as it's in NFS Shift and probably in TDU2.

Kaz mentioned that because there are so many cars and manufacturers in the game, they usually only as a car maker once per game for the license, and if they say "no" then they're not in. I would also assume that the makers that ask PD to use them get first dibs as they already have the licenses.

I doubt they've had one continual contract for over 10 years. They do currently have an exclusie Porsche license and have held an exclusive license since Porsche Unleashed. That's from Porsche themselves. The odds are that there's been small gaps and they've re-neogitated or renewed the license many times since then.

GT5 for psp realised before GT5 for ps3 . It seems to me that all the loyal supporters of GT series should have been taken care of first not last
I am sure you mean GT for PSP, since there is no GT5 for PSP.

Either way, I feel that I, as a loyal fan, have been taken care of as I am quite enjoying GT on my PSP.

Humm, interesting. Its obvious that Kaz wants to create the best game he can, but also obvious that he would prefer to keep working on it. I think the reason for the delay from 2009 to 2010, is mainly down to Kaz and his feelings regarding the way damage etc has been implemented. Personally, if it gives us a better game, I'd rather wait an extra 6 months or so... :)

No, it doesn't. The article's about Turn10's thoughts on GT5, not actual GT5 news.

Yeh but it is marginally better then posting it in a new thread titled "FM3 TRASHTALK GT5 AGAIN"... Surely that'll cause more flamebaiting than anything.

Hahaha I can't wait to see what they say once GT5 is at least fully revealed or released.

Now I'm not trying to be a GT fanboy here, because I actually played the Forza 3 demo the other day at my buddy's house, since I don't have a 360.

My take on it....it's definitely a lot better visually than Forza 2. However, I did notice a lack of reflections and photo-realisticness when looking at the cars in motion. But the scenery was quite impressive. The physics were a little better than Forza 2 as well...definitely felt a better connection to the road. I'm sure it will be a fantastic game for X360 owners...

However, with that said, even with the limited amount of info released about GT5 thus far, Forza 3 IS NOT going to make me go out and buy an X360 and the game. Like many of said, I'm sure that GT5 will be the best racer on the PS3, and the Forza 3 will be the best for X360. But I just have a gut feeling that GT5 is going to have a lot of surprises unknown to everyone, and I think the actual quality of the game will be hands down in GT's hands....and I'm not talking about just car count and graphics....just the final touch that PD puts on everything is what makes me love the series.

Sorry Turn10...I haven't been converted, and their "definitive" attitude doesn't really help my view either.

Bring on GT5 please :D

This is priceless

What the hell does Turn 10 think they are? Gods? I don't think so. Because they can't rate a game who won't be out in 6 months, even if they played it. Or they can't rate it as long as they base on the feature list. Well, let them wait this 6 months and then let us watch how they will dug themselves in the sand of shame because GT5 will be better than that what they say...

I think Forza will surely be a great game... but the developers aren't, that was a cheap shot with no meaning at all. And in the end they will earn the punishment...

Oh come on, from all the posts about that video I was expecting to hear the guy slam GT5 or something. He didn't, he said GT5 was a very good looking game but he believed they did a lot of things better feature for feature. Bear in mind, he did not know what we know now about the damage being incomplete or the finer details of the content by then. But what did you guys expect him to say, "oh yeah, GT5 beats us in every way." He didn't pan GT5, he kept his answer simple and said he believes Forza 3 is better in a lot of areas. You guys make it sound like his comments were as bad as Dan Grenwalts earlier in the year. Theey were over the line, this wasn't close.

correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't see him slamming GT5 at all in that video. He just talks about the car models in Forza 3 and how he thinks having all cars fully modelled, fully modable, fully tuneable, fully dameagable and fully livery'able (yeah I'm just making words up) is better than GT5.

That didn't look like him bashing GT5 at all.

Turn 10 is doing a lot of talking the talk. When Forza 3 comes out, I want to see if they can walk the walk. If so, then kudos. If not, then, they brought it upon themselves. No need to get all bent out of shape whenever they say something about PD or GT5.
