He revealed that GT5 will feature a revival of the Racing Modify menu, an option that was last featured in GT2. It won't work for all the game's cars, of course, but the staff is trying to realize it for the cars players will be expecting.

This means there wont be livery editor, dammit!

Just look at the new 60fps Karting video - tearing is clearly visible.

That could just be due to lack of synchronization between the monitor and the camera?

To be honest I've barely hope the release version will be much better :nervous:.

I'm still confident as far as PD are concerned, although given the amount of tearing I've seen in other games I'm rather wondering if there couldn't be an issue with the PS3 (system software) making it hard if not impossible to avoid it completely...

I could cry of joy, just alone because of the car selection in the demo is so wonderful, everything we got in the last 11 hours was so overwhelming.

Thank you San.Kazunori Yamauchi and everyone at Polyphony Digital.
Fixed:sly:

What was the racing modify menu?
It was a feature within the tuning shop in the first two games, that turned a normal car into a race car with racing livery, spoilers and things like that.

For example, the Dodge Viper before and after.

In GT2 didn't it turn a FF Taurus into a tube framed Nascar?

It was a long time ago so can't remember specifics but I'm pretty sure the racing upgrade had a greater effect on some cars than others.

Firstly, I love you PD for including the Ferrari P4.

Secondly, this is the first time we have seen a Pagani in GT5 isn't it? Zonda R confirmed, epic 👍

Thirdly, is this the first time we have seen the '96 Castrol Tom's Supra in the game? This is the one from GT1 right? Awesome.

Loving Monza aswell (Is the oval still actively used for racing in real life? If so, you've got another track which will fill one of the gaps in the NASCAR calendar :p).

I'm still optimistic about Formula One and it's inclusion (Even though I know it's not going to be official). I want to see a good number of 2000-2007 cars to play around with, aswell as some of the classics (They must still have data compiled from the ones they included in GT3).

It is still there, but not used. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/36525424

It made a difference to handling and performance as well didn't it?

Must say, one of the best features of the GT series was this feature.

Well I hope we can keep the colours of the car, and that theres a few more options e.g, leave the Vynls... and also I want there wheel system to be similar to GT4.

The Racing modification also removed some more weight, added better suspensions, gave the car more traction due to wider tyres, probably made the chassis stiffer, added aero parts, etc.

It didn't made the cars lighter, you had to buy all three weight reductions for it though.
But it definitely changed the aerodynamics, the Speed 12 in GT2 was ~10 Kph slower with it but more drivable.

What I want to know is, will the racing modification be more in-depth, or will it just be 2 preset liveries with one preset body/aerodynamic upgrade like in GT1/2?

Will there be any customisation, or will it just be pay cash to give the car better grip and aerodynamics? I'd like the option to do both to be honest.
