GT5 Master Car List (NOT a wishlist - Please read first post)

And kyleconnor, this is not a wishlist. If you want the LR3 in GT5 fear not; there are fanatics aplenty who dutifully added it to the list. Some say that the GT5 wishlist is the closest thing on earth to a list of every single car ever made, so don't worry.
 
I think that list is just the GT4 lineup with Ferrari added... I'm really looking forward to GT5 but you would expect them to put more cars in. The jump from GT1 to GT2 in terms of the choice of cars was astronomical, and i expect even better of the jump onto HD console from GT4 to GT5. Graphics does not make better gameplay. I still consider GT2 to be the best, hopefully this game will change my mind. So far, it is looking unlikely.

Ah yes I forgot all about E3. Yeah we will probably get detailed info about the upcoming update aswell as a possible 'updated' GT5 release date. E3 has always been a good game show for extra car spottings. :)
 
Please bring back the " muscle cars " these cars are a blast to drive,there are so many " muscle cars " that could be added to the game , it would be awesome to see more of these in the game.

Looks more like a Prologue-sponsored track day/race day than anything else. There have been GT-sponsored Porsches in the past, but they obviously never showed up in any of the games. We can only hope that Porsche/Lamborghini/etc finally saw the light or Polyphony finally agreed to pay them the demanded money (whatever the situation was before) to get their cars in the game.

Were these the actual cars people drove for the GT Academy, or are those just photoshops?
 
The 350Z will be raced by the Academy winner/s in the 24 Hours of Dubai. I think the GT-R will be the car they learn to race in. It looks like legit livery to me...

There are alot of cars on this list that have not been seen in screenshots of GT5P or confirmed by Polyphony through lists

Where did I say it had to be in GT5P?

The GT Academy GT-R is a photoshop, the numbers on it are not straight. The 350Z is from last year or some previous year's race. We have no clue what they will look like, or even if they will be any special, at least in terms of the GT-R. They could simply all be stock.

The 350Z race car could be, just not sure. It doesn't exactly fit the criteria of being "tested" by PD, or announced as being in the game through some media.

Well could you tell me why cars like the Toyota GT1 TS020 are on the list?
 
I tried arguing this too, but he believes cars from GTHD Concept are confirmed for GT5, even though they were never seen designed to GT5's graphical specs. But for some reason he ignores the bikes :rolleyes:. Some of the cars were exclusive to certain regions of GT4's release, such as the Esso Ultraflow Supra in the PAL game, so if he's an NTSC gamer, he's never seen them and probably thought they were newly created. It's best just to ignore it, he's not going to remove them from the list.
 
GTHD Concept was just GT4 spec cars in high definition

Oh well, if he won't change anything despite the many who see differently then oh well. Just ignore this list.

EDIT: But if they were included in GTHD, surely that means that they would carry them over into the full game? Bikes shouldn't be included because that's Tourist Trophy territory.
 
Well you'd think if Polyphony wanted to add bikes to GTHD then they'd have decided to combine the two series. This argument has come up several times in several topics. There are those who want bikes and/or believe they are going to make it into GT5, and there are those to don't. Unfortunately logic isn't universal, so nobody's going to change anyone's mind. All we can do is wait to see what Polyphony does.

GTHD = GT4 in High Definition

Polyphony Digital said they could not use GT4 cars as a base for anything in PS3 spec they had to start over from scratch

There is NO guarantee cars from GTHD will be in GT5 or GT5P because PD has to remake every car from scratch.

And when was I wishing for any car??? I hope you weren't talking about me. Please say you werent.

Cars in red have been seen being photographed and tested by Sony/Polyphony Digital and may or may not be in GT5

This cars are in the GT Academy web site and they have screenshots and the 350Z have a video! They are not WHISLIST CARS! :grumpy:

Where exactly are you finding these in-game shots of the 350Z and GT-R race cars? I can't find them.
 
My word people, The359 is trying to be helpfull creating and maintaining this list. Get off his back, I happen to agree that the GT:HD cars should be taken off until seen in or confirmed in GT5, but hey, it's not my list. He's given his reason for them being kept on and that's his choice and it's up to him if/when and why he changes it. If you feel like giving him advice then give it as advice, don't jump on his back. This is his time and energy and I can tell you, I tried doing a GT4 car list (something The359 did on this site) on another site before I was a regular on here, my word was it frustrating keeping on top of it once the games development got going, I never finished that list (The359 finished his). Cut the guy some slack, show some appreciation and help where you can.

Wouldn't it be smart to put the cars in the GT5:P "Museum" into the list in red? If they're advertising the car, and clearly have photos and history on them, wouldn't it be reasonable to suggest they will be in the full GT5?
