I want your opinion In this issue

Where did you get it from? If from Ebay then think about contacting the seller....

Looks like you got ripped off, but I have not seen the disc design for the Premium Collection. It could be as plain as that, for all we know. I recommend finding a friend that has a copy the same as yours and cross checking the disc's.

Hi
it is not from ebay it is from sony world in United Arab Emirates :nervous:

I am waiting for any one copy have the same platinum copy

If you are in the US why do you have that anyway?

im from Germany

Why can't he? It's not like it's illegal.

I think it is illegal because the cover does not look like disk and there is no letter p on the disk

Ah, you're account was showing a US flag earlier. Sorry about that.
Are the platinum editions and different than a normal other than maybe a few patches?

It's the same copy there is no differences

I hope those who has a copy Platinum checked and compared my copy

All the Platinum Edition is is the same exact game as the regular edition. It's just the same thing as the Greatest Hits in North America. So the disc will more or less look the same as a standard edition.

"'Platinum' games are the PAL-territory equivalent of the 'Greatest Hits' collection in North America, featuring special packaging and a significantly reduced price."

EDIT: But then the missing P may bring rise to actually questioning it. This was probably a useless post anyways as I may have miss read something. In that case, sorry. I tried my best. :P

BCES00569 is GT5 (Europe). The reason it's the same Title ID is because that's the Title ID the European DLC is stored under in the PSN Store (among other, more complex reasons, though that's probably the simplest most people would understand). Having a /P at the end of the Title ID is both inefficient and probably impossible (considering HDD indexing...). As people have mentioned, Platinum games are no different than the original content wise. They simply made it to a list of best-selling games. Think of it as a "New York Times Best Seller" sticker on a novel; same story, just has a fancy sticker.

In summary, you have nothing to worry about. ;)

thanks my friend
I'm not worried about the difference between the content of the regular version and platinum
I am worried about the letter p
and the disk does not seem Platinum :nervous:

If you are talking about content wise on the disc, then yes. The Platinum Edition does not have any additional content on the disc that wouldn't be on a regular edition disc. So, your not missing out on anything here. They're exactly the same copy.

I really don't know if the Platinum Edition disc is supposed "look" different from the standard disc, but that's all it is. Just a different look. And a cheaper price.

thanks my friend

They probably add the /P on the boxart as a designation for a different design. The disc being the original copy of the game, has the same designation as the original, as there is no difference.

I waited one has a copy of Platinum To see if the disk has the same design

you could always check google image's to see wgat a Platinum GT5 Disk looks like

Just watched an unboxing...

Rody is right, his disc isn't Platinum... Quite strange really, though it has no effect on game play/experience.

Was the package sealed, Rody?

yos it was

I think he cheated me

I will convince myself that I've purchased a used game

now Disk works fully .. How do I know if the disc is original or copied ?????

I have a platinum GT5 and it's just like in the OP...the box is platinum and the disc is regular...i can tell because on the box the price is 29,99 euro and the disc says 69,99 euro's...(i payed 29,99)
i'm from Belgium and that's where i bought the game...
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the disc...platinum games are just the same as the original just cheaper and i don't think they are marked with a P..i have other platinum games and i will check them just to be sure...

The video above is horrible...why do people post such things...?

A way to check its the platinum disc is that it should be loaded with update 2.0? I'm not sure if it's that version, but it should be definitely have a newer version than the original.

There is no such thing as a "copied" disc at this time. Especially when it runs fine on your PS3.

Platinum comes with 1.13, if my memory serves me right. Though newer, pressed, originals usually have updated game data added already (up to 1.13 at least). Nevertheless, it could be a fine way to check. Though...

As zeppos1 has already mentioned, it seems the disc the OP received was correct. Weird how the one in the video is labeled as platinum though.

what you mean OP ??
Can you put image of disk and the cover that you have
and Is there a letter p on disk ?

it is work fine with update 2.3

All my platinum games have platinum labels on the disc. Except my copy of MGS4 has the new PS3 slim packaging and the disc has the old fat PS3 logo on it. Still platinum. All the platinum or greatest hits games have those labels on the disc, so I'm not sure why the OP has the normal, non-platinum disc.

i have to take pics and figure out how to post them...it will be tomorrow..it's already 10 pm here

OP means Opening Post
