In Forza, i just ignore them. That's their deal. Plus there's always the report buttons.

It's like with everyone else, you know what they want by listening to what they say. Thats all I do when I say this or that person wants anything. That way I can confirm all my statements with evidence.

I don't care too much for a livery editor, but if you had control of whether or not the stripes on your car are painted over when painting a car would be nice.
 
I hope that Polyphony have continued to build, behind the scenes, the worlds best sim of damage and collisions, and this will be added to the game in 3 weeks. New cars, new tracks - very nice, sure, but you'd never please everyone. But full on damage, wreckage sprawling across the track, componenets headed in different directions - that would be awesome for the serious online racers, and lets face it, everyone else will leave in a few months anyway, even if the most unlikely of circuit wish-lists were to be fullfilled. So, proper crashes, to seriously improve the game in a serious-minded way for the long term players - that's what I want. (But it means that you'd have to kick all players with bad ping out of a room though - ping shunts wouldn't be accpetable with realistic damage and race ending consequences).

I'm pretty sure I ain't going to get it though :(

I'll probably be buying any and all DLC, unless it's amazingly lame, which is unlikely...

More or less isn't the same, maybe I'm wrong and I've misunderstood what you were trying to say but the posts I quoted suggested to me that it should only (or better but, mainly) include the possibility to recreate liveries that already exist.
If that isn't the case I apologize and my 'rant' doesn't apply to your posts but remains applying in general.

No problem, what i meant was by all means let people create whatever they want to create, just i'd prefer things like the gulf or red bull stuff. Create away, if we do get the editor i'll look forward to everyones creations.

Okay, sorry again for misunderstanding then, personally I'd rather try to come up with something not done before but to each their own.
Although I can't blame you for wanting your garage to look a bit like this.

No livery editor was pretty much the reason why I didn't buy GT5, that and most of the cars were low res ports. If GT5 can catch up to where it should have been for launch then I might consider it but the competition have moved even further forward anyway.

I'm not holding my breath for this update and DLC, Kaz says a lot but it often doesn't end up being what you expected. I guess we will have to see.

I owned 130 cars for months, I now have 280 or so after buying and buying. The game really does NOT need more than 250 cars max.....

The main issue being so many near duplicates. So many RX7s so many GT-Rs etc. If you de-duped the car list I wonder how many base cars there really are.

If there was a DLC with a bunch of cars not already well represented in GT5 I don't think there would be complaints. But I do agree, we need tracks more than cars.
 
Even if there is a livery editor, it will be half-assed.

Probably only in Arcade mode and not available online, or something like that.

That's how PD work.

Sorry if my last post came off as rude or obnoxious, but after sitting and going through all 41 pages, hoping to maybe find a new piece of actual info or news on this announcement, only to find it has turned into another wishlist nonsense thread, I got a little fed up...

Not to be a killjoy or anything, but some actual statistics validating your point would be absolutely fantastic on your behalf. 👍

That depends on your definition of "base car".
As a very rough estimate, if we count those sharing a very similar body, including model years, different trims, tuner cars, race cars, and identical Standard-Premium versions, there are something between 500 and 600 "base" cars in total.

With these criteria, the number of Premium cars drops to about 160.

Their style is much different than most other countries. Hell who knows. They probably think the game is perfect, there are 100+ RX7's and Skylines.

If you take out the "dupes" from any racing game, i.e. the cars with similar specs as well as actual duplicates, their numbers will plummet too. Drastically. GT5's car list might plummet to 800 cars. In GTR, there might be 20. How many are in F1 2011, four?

I actually did this in GT4, and the 730 car roster dropped to around 600. Did you guys do this? Or do you Skyline haters just keep repeating a meme with no proof because it's the fun dig?

And if GT5 was so perfect to Kazunori, why are we getting a Spec II? :rolleyes:

This is your OPINION, and is NOT widely shared. Besides, if I picked those 250, I bet you'd scream bloody murder that all my choices are wrong.

With a wealth of cars to choose from, everyone can have a roster that pleases them. I prefer cars under 350 hp, and I'd rather not have a choice of twelve cars in that range. Make sense?

Ah, phew - I did a list very similar to that back when the full list was revealed, and came to a very close number. I suppose, at least by our definitions, that makes sense.

I will echo the sentiments posted elsewhere in this thread - we have plenty of other wishlist threads for all sorts of demands, so it wouldn't hurt to look into those every once in a while. Of course, some solid info from PD in regards to what exactly Spec 2 will entail would be handy...

Design is a taste question, there is absolutely no way to put that in numbers, that will be different for everyone.

I think you guys have read a little too much into the 'apparent' religious connotations of that particular post.
I was referring to his way of arguing a point.
The fact that he is obviously a religious fellow (and reminds us 3 times every time he posts) is incidental.

But hey, I understand why you'd draw that conclusion. I also understand that that's political correctness for you in todays world..

Boy would I love it, being a NASCAR/FGT racer in general, if we could have a feature to restrict to any car we wanted, instead of just karts, f1 cars, and recommended cars.
 
Has anyone else realized... the update/DLC may finally bring the Stealth cars to America?

(The mods would probably permaban me if I said what I really wanted to here.)
 
But I have one question. Will spec 2 come as a patch and you need internet only or do you need psn to get it because my friend is banned but he still wants to get that spec 2 update. What do you think guys.
