That's what I think too, GT-games generally have a long lifespan for those who are seriously into driving games and who much more quickly reach the limits of its content, something I doubt most casual gamers already did (although they might in general be more, or only, interested in a specific type of car and not make use of the whole variety).
Not to mention it's perhaps just another game for them, the next big thing is the next big thing for many.

Oh yeah 3 of my friends that bought this game never even did the first online update!

Although Kaz stated a while back they were considering that but wouldn't add new cars to GT5, but then he also said there wouldn't be DLC.

What I expect from Spec 2.0. is:

-More restrictive A-SPEC entry requirements, such PP or weight limit, licenses...
-Ingame saves
-Option of choose hour and time on Arcade Mode for Nordschleife & Le Mans (like online mode)

It's true. Just prove it to yourself that you can do it, I do it all the time without getting credit for it. If the Endurance races gave PS Trophies then I think it would be proper to feel angry about that kind of added feature.

Exactly. No new cars. With that, it seemed like he didn't want to give out DLC, maybe for the reasons other people have for not wanting it. Paying for extra content and working on other things instead.

More than half of the 150 person team at PD are there for car modelling.

Is there a GT bill of rights or a gamers bill of rights I wasn't aware of that grants you a right to have games changed so that you can complete parts of the game that you cant complete.....

How it effects us has been gone over several times. It destroys the acheivment of people who do run the endurance races when anybody can run them 1 hour at a time.

If I run a mile a night for 27 nights and then demand the London marathon people gave me a medal for running a marathon they would (quite rightly) point out to me that I have not run a marathon........I have only run 27 1 mile runs.

If you play GT5 for 1 hour a night for 24 nights you have not run a 24 hour race......you have run 24 1 hour races.

There is little enough achievment possible in GT5 and yet you want to remove what little there is so you can enter a 24 hour race when the one thing you are absolutely adament about is they you dont want to race for 24 hours.

If you want to race for an hour.......enter a 1 hour race.

If you want to race for 4 hours......enter a 4 hour race.

If you absolutely under no circumstances want to race for 24 hours then why on Earth do you want to enter a 24 hour race.

Really guys, it's not rocket science.



I really have to laugh at the people who keep claiming their PS3's will explode if left on for more than a few hours at a time though........that's just.......wow......

No the real racers do it properly......they put together a team of 3-4 people to take part in the 24 hour race. They understand that they cannot race for 24 hours themselves so they do not try to.

I think the implementing a feature which can cause backache, seizures and god knows what else, a poor decision. .

Most games and systems warn you of this.
You could argue why buy a 3DS if your going to disable 3D?

My answer would be to save my 6 year old sons vision and limit his playing time.
Nintendo have added a parental lock to aid the parents.

Shouldn't PD help the parents to encourage them not to sit in front of a 3d TV for 24 hours solid and fry there brains.

Or should systems be left on for a fire risk.

I think real racers also dont drive from their living room, right? I also heard they used a real car, not a gaming wheel or controller (unless this changed). I also heard they get paid to race those 24 hours. I guess my point is, ITS A GAME.

Seriously though Dave, and be honest....do you wear full race suit, gloves, and boots, with a helmet on when you play GT? You know...get all "real" roleplaying in front of your TV? Dont be embarassed, but please post a pic...or vid.

Sorry, the logic is flawed. If people have paused an endurance race even once then they have NOT completed 24 hours straight, no matter how little time they paused for, you can't pause a real race.

Besides, I didn't realise there was a rule where when you buy the game you MUST use all features. Maybe they should just introduce another trophy "I did 24hrs straight without pausing" if it bothers you THAT much. I don't care if people use mid race saves, just like I don't care if people traded for X1s or any of the rare cars.

It's a game, we pay for it and are free to do whatever we like in the boundaries set by the game, a save feature is no different from a pause feature (if anyone used this again they did not complete 24hrs solid) except it could decrease the risk of PS3 failure.

Like any game, some people will want to do everything to complete 100%. If people have used guides to find all the pigeons (GTA) etc then so what? Does it affect you? I highly doubt anyone really cares how you completed the endurance race. It's a game at the end of the day and everyone gets their enjoyment out if it in different ways.

Anyway, someone suggested - see above post - that those who actually do the enduros with no pausing and no in-race saves should get some sort of iron man trophy. That should make everyone happy. Just not certain backs or bladders.

By the way, one big thing I forgot to add to my wishlist, an improved PP system.

Erm, I was saying that if people who complain about INGAME RACE SAVES pause the game then they're ALSO cheating in a way, as you can't pause real life hence why making the hate for the race saves bizarre (why not do away with the pause button too?). I support in game race saves fully. I don't think I'm a real race driver, hence why I play GT. Just like games like COD etc, I don't think I'm a real solider hence why I play a game about it and so on.

Since you only quoted the part of me poking some fun at you, and not the part of me debating your logic, I ask you the same question.

What part of GT5 being a GAME and not real life are having a hard time understanding?

Oh, and no I dont cry when a game is released that I cant finish 100%. In fact, I doubt I ever will get a game to 100%. I have more do to in real life (not real GT5 life mind you), than worry about a trophy.

But if I did cry in the dark, I would post a pic of it if you asked. I am guessing we arent getting the Living Room Race Car Driver photo? Oh well..

1. Instead of this thread being about info about the next update, it just became a giant wishlist (which we already have threads for).

2. People bickering about complete nonsense.


If you ask me this should be locked, every post but the OP deleted. Then, when there is actually some information regarding the update, the OP be updated by a mod. That way people still can't post, because I have a feeling all the posts would still end up being a wishlist even though there is no point to it, or people getting upset they didn't get what they wanted.
