A PSN demo would just take away some of the sensation of finally getting the real thing in November. I enjoy Prologue while knowing the best is yet to come.
That is completly true, and still I would love to play a demo.

I've been thinking about not looking for any information anymore untill the 3rd of november, but I can't help myself :nervous:

I don't think so. I'm longing for something to satisfy my need for GT5. GT5P doesn't help it anymore. I just want a demo for the physics so I can get use to it before the actual game comes out. And you know, a demo that doesn't expire...

Mhh I agree, no demo for me thanks... We´ve waited over 5 years so this last 2 months will be peanuts :)

Kazunori said There wont be a demo.He might change his mind.
Everone played GT5 without fans. Maybe he worries PSN cant handle to downloading the demo because of Traffic:), Who knowS

All im expecting to be said at TGS is a full car and track list and some minor features and thats all.

There won't be a complete track & car list revealed at TGS. That's never been the case and IMO it's better that way. It's good to cycle through the manufacturers and find the new cars ourselves.
A complete Car List will be up right on this website the day of the release anyway ^^

And the demo is unlikely since there's only 1 1/2 month before lauch (TGS time). Plus there's never been a GT demo (Time Trial excepted).

There were demos for both GT1 and GT2.

There weren't demos for GT4 or GT5 because PD realized they could just start charging money for them if they called it Prologue ;).

Besides, we know over 900 of the 1000 cars. Not know for certain, since they might not include certain GT4 models for whatever reason... but largely, we have a really good idea of it.

There were demos of GT3 and GT4. I have 3 GT4 demos: Toyota Prius, BMW 1-series, and the Japanese demo

I believe GT5 demo is near!

Would probably make sense as almost every major ( or minor ) release gets a demo on PSN these days or......a trailer ( which we already have enough of ).
Prologue did its job already a few years ago, not every potential GT5 buyer got it so I guess it could be a possibility.

I feel like the demos for other games mostly serve to get the word out. Especially in the case of relatively small games. Meanwhile, nearly everybody knows what Gran Turismo is, even people who aren't really into racing games.

Franz, I forgot about those specific-car demos! The NC Miata one released post-GT4 is an interesting one too...

I'd be happy with a demo, but I'm definitely not expecting PD to get one to us. We're right on the 2 month mark, I don't mind the wait now that a release is basically a sure thing.

I'm really hoping for demo!GT5P is nowere near GT5.2 different games -> 2 different demos.
GTHD had demo,GT5P had demo,GT5 should have - it's more to do with commercial side (if you wan't to sell game - making a demo is a good idea).

I guess you're right, and I've said before that a game like GT5 ( with its long lifespan ) isn't even depending on short term hype but the total sales over that lifespan, so making people aware ( which they eventually will be if they're a potential customer ) maybe isn't even that high a priority even without everybody knowing what it is, and yes most will know GT and are probably aware a new iteration is coming soon.
Personally I don't even care much whether they choose to release a demo, if they do I will definitely download it, if they don't it's only 2 months ( even less at the point where they would release a demo ) away.

PD will work on releasing a demo for sure once the game is finished. I predict the demo will be on PSN in October. Maybe Kaz will surprise us on TGS announcing the definite date of the demo.

Like alucard mentioned, even GT5P had demo and I just don't see any reason PD not releasing any demo for a final game. All we need is patience.

Instead of being told that Spa will be featured in the game, imagine putting GT5 in your PS3 and then finding it yourself, how cool would that be? But yes more information / videos about standard cars please, I want to see what it looks like to drive one of them.

Standard cars will obviously have the same physics as the premium cars. Or are you talking about their appearance and driving views? Just play some GT4 to get a sneak peak at the standard cars.

i dont think there will be a demo. who knows though...i mean, i think they are spending more time on polishin the game then making a demo. but they could surprise me tho.

Well I use the chase cam, so I'm just curious to how much of a difference there actually is in the appearence of drivign a standard car. We've seen trailers and photos of them, but i'm hoping that in-game there won't actually be that much of a difference between them.

Isn't the main difference between Premium and Standard just the cockpit view? The exterior details of all the cars should be same regardless of Prem/Stand in the driving/game mode. That was my assumption anyway.

It's just a chance to play GT5 before release for free!Nothing bad at all!
I don't understand people who says: "You playing it like 3 years from now and it's called GT5 Prologue"...

I use bumper cam and while it's nice to look at the cockpits once in a while and in the replays, it's not an essential view for me. I'm really looking forward to GT5 showing at TGS. Can't wait.

The standard cars have a lot less polygons so they apparently don't look as good in game. But that's what I want to see, hopefully it's not true.

You cant notice which car standard or not in replays Do not worry guys. They are upscaled to 1080p. they will look hot as premium as.

I'll be not as optimistic. We have a trailer.Looks much worse. And if they already show it to us - it's (almost 100%) - final version of the models.Otherwise it makes no sense at all. (to show us worse models than they actually are).I think they will be the same as in GT4.And remember that beauty of reflections AND lighting quality depended on car poly count...

I'll be more optimistic than that, I'm sure that they will look better than the GT4 cars. I'm hoping that they look very similar to the premium cars except the windows will be tinted out and you won't be able to see any engine bays or anything like that (Jaguar XJ13). From the trailer we saw they looked quite good to me.
