GT5 vs Shift 2

Im wondering if i should get Shift 2, As i see a lot of people on here have already got shift 2 and i was wondering what game is better, what has the better graphics,physics feel to the game etc. I know shift 2 has better AI but thats not something hard to beat considering GT5 probably has the worst AI in any racing game.

So please help me out in deciding whether i should buy it or not.

GT5 has much better physics, much better graphics and semi-decent AI.
In my opinion there is no comparison, after playing GT5 the rest looks like crap.

If you use a wheel, I would not recommend Shift 2. It is just not done well enough. If you use a controller, Shift 2 may be enjoying for a slightly more arcade type experience.

Shift 2 wasn't for me. I like the idea but racing part is just unfinished if u ask me

Thanks for the replies, I agree Jose, after playing GT5 for so long its hard to play another racing game and really get into it.
Litzner - I dont have a wheel yet but do plan on getting one soon, Im not really a fan of arcade racing games, But I'll probably go and rent it and see how it is.

Honestly, get Hot Pursuit instead. It's a superior Need for Speed game.

I enjoy Shift 2 more than GT5.

Never played shift 2 but I did play shift one, before I got to the middle of single play I had a Porsche maxed out.... Too easy. Now GT5 on the other hand, thats a whole different story..

I have Shift2 installed in my PC, loaded up intro screen, read some reviews.... and still just keep playing GT5.

I have both games, GT5 is something i come too when i just want play. Shift on the other hand was fun and exciting in the beginning, once i got faster with faster cars the physics started to unravel (slippy-slidy).

Cars where hit or miss, some cars where good to drive while others were terrible, i can't even believe Porsche allowed their cars to be in shift.

The AI is good but some of them have super powers where they can drive on sand without loosing speed while you can't.

And if you are using a wheel, drifting in shift2 may not be for you.

I play on the PS3 and some say it's better on a PC.

Hot pursuit is crap!
Yes, its personal opinion, but theres like 10 cars and about 4 straight roads on the map.
IMO i have never played a worse game. The old shrek game is better! (little brothers game)

Graphics and physics go to GT5.
AI goes to Shift.

Better game, in my opinion, is shift.

That said, you're better off renting it instead of just basing your purchase on the opinions of a bunch of people you don't know.
