Niss/Logic - I'll skip Indy this week for reasons that'll bore people. In summary, I'm making more mistakes per lap here than 90mins of Trial Mountain and Bathhurst put together. Everything has been tried...(incl the TV BTW).

was given this a couple of weeks ago for my birthday its a zippo lighter. dont like zippo's but liked the engraving. normally i change my no to match my age although this has given me the idea for a permanent no. will catch up more tomorrow.

What are you using in the last 3 values (CCS,FFMT,FFS) of drive options? I have 5,3,4 with the T300.

Today is my last race of this season. Next 2 races Im working until 22.00 H (21.00 Gmt) :banghead:

All right, my race report

The fact that I took pole position was very surprising by itself, as I was expecting someone to set a sub-1:25 time, which didn't happen in the end.
Despite 2-3 moments where I almost threw it in Turn 4, the racecraft was unfolding without a specific drama from my side. My pace was quite consistent and I was confident with the 2-stop strategy, so I wasn't planning to take a certain decision to change it mid-race. When I saw Niss staying out after my first stop, I realised that my chances to win were getting lower. I was almost confirmed, since I wasn't able to close the gap from him enough, even with his rubber getting older and older and my consecutive low 25 - high 24 times (plus the very long pit lane). I didn't stop hoping though, and I continued pushing and pushing, when I found Monkey and Aug in my way and passed them without serious resistance. Gap was getting narrower, when me and Niss entered the final lap with almost 2 seconds gap from each other. I overdid it in Turn 4 again and after that I decided to just bring it home safely, to finish second.
Overall, I don't feel that I didn't try enough to take the win. Niss just managed it perfectly, so many bravos and respect to him! :bowdown: I hope I gave him a good suspense in the final minutes :D

Can't check my replay forgot to save it in my rush to pick up the missus :dopey: wish I could I was last after lap 2 or 3. Will be on tomorrow morning for a few hours.
 
Race win report: Rd.14 Indiana Police

Q - My first test of the week was very late, on Sunday so I was suprised to hit 25.0 in practice, decided to Q right after my pb, didn't go well at all, managed a mid 25 enough for 7th on grid.

Race - My thoughts were focused on startegy prior to race with still fresh memories of Motegi last week and Indy last season where Log's stretegy was a winner. Obviously I was going for a 1 stopper even if driving on rims. I figured better to have track position than chase with better rubber with the pit delta at Indy.

Anyway after a historic connection delay that took some victims(@CrazyJohn) , we got rolling. I was not worried about my low starting position as at slip tracks like this usualy cars infront cant pull a gap. Had an awesome start, got by @DeltaJuliet at the line with out breaking speed limit rule! (has this been done by anyone else since new rules?), tbh I thought i was over limit but checking replay I was at 119kmh.

Good start gave me even more motivation to push on, now behind the two Lexus cars that were slitghy struggling by their standars.(im sure this will change in last two rounds) After a few good old battles I found myself in 2nd now just 2 sec behind @jontikis and @monkeywall closing from behind in 3rd!

At 30 min Jon pitted and I was a tad suprised, I though after @Stephen Vann took us to school last season here, everyone will 1 stop. Now in the lead, Monk in 2nd was closing in big time, thankfully the stint was coming to an end. Quick stop with no cars in pit lane, refuled for 69liters.

Second stint was going to be long with excatly 45min to go when exiting pits. So y only priority was tyre life, I was not focusing on pace for first 20 min at all. (similar to F1 drivers on Pirreli's lol) Honestly at this point I was relaxed as a house cat, win was in the bag, with about 7 sec gap to Aug and Monk close behind. Then lol, I notice Jontikis on map on the oval in 4th about 15sec behind, was not worried at first but then I notice he was closing in like there's no tomorrow!

All the tyre I saved up untill then played a crucial role, as I had to give it all in last 10 min. As Jon mentioned going in the last lap it was 1.9 sec ffs! :scared: Honestly Jon I think you would get my slip going into to last corner at the rate you were closing, I acutaly didn't notice you make mistake till last sector lol, I was too just focused on hitting every apex. One of the hardets finishes indeed Jon, good race mate 👍

Anyways very happy with this one as I didn't expect it, I will go so far to say this was one of the best drives I did, especially regarding tyre life and consistency this week was spot on.

No guarantee that I'll make it as the brake pedal is about to give way for good and making up bits now isn't worth as it's knackered, but got the best of ten years from two DFGTs mixing bits and pieces though.

Ordered a T300RS GT edition today - what swayed me was that the pedal base is apparently stiffer than the non-GT version and it comes with a rubber cone that you can add for the brake pedal.
