This is probably a silly question, but is the GT6 Demo available for use by those in countries excluded from participating in Academy 2013?

You can download the demo, play and appear at the leaderboard of your country, but you aren't eligible to participate in the finals

Welcome to GTPlanet!

I think you guys should stop counting down, you may end up just disappointing yourselves.

Guys, go and have a cup of tea and head outside - the demo will still take a while to download so stop hyping yourselves up so much

I wonder what will happen if a 9-year old or something would win GT Academy?

The odds aren't that way, I think you need to be at least 18 years old to participate, but obviously somebody would look for him/her

Sorry I meant as you play the game will there be a time limit on the driving???

Last year the Academy had quite a lot of events that were pretty much license tests on short sections of various tracks followed by a time trial run on one of the Motegi layouts. I don't think there was a time limit on it in the past.
We can't really say until we try the new one.

After you make it into the top of your leaderboard they send out emails to confirm eligibility, so the 9 year old kid would be disqualified.

Young dudes have gotten intoo the top ten in the world before, but they were 14-16, not any younger afaik.

LOL here in California its 12:26 and I have volleyball practice at 5:00am tomorrow.... I'll just tell the coach about the demo. I'm sure he'll understands, he's very into cars as well.

Hmm....12:30am here in Az. Not sure if I should stay up and play The Last of Us until the demo appears or go to bed?

Decisions, decisions...what am I thinking? Of course I am going to stay up lol!!!

About as disappointed as we will be when we see its only one of the many variations of Silverstone, let alone not amywhere close to the "demo" they had at E3, which had GT Academy built into it. I'm expecting only Nissan cars, that's a given. But not to include the other tracks featured at a trade show that so-and-so's girlfriend got to race on? That's just cruel of PD/SONY.

If I have a cup of my iced tea now (3:35am), I'll be up for 5 hours EASILY!!!

It'll probably turn out you can't even race the full track, just licence type sections of it. :P

He's be disqualified - it required that you must have a valid driving license last time :sly:

Makes sense. Would be rather odd to have all the drivers walk to their car, while suddenly a kid comes out of his Nissan and cries about not being able to reach the pedals :scared:

The GT site shows "Sunday Cup" in the menu screenshot. I don't know what to expect now. I really don't like being teased by PD, it doesn't end well.

Wait.... Is the PSN store even updating right now? Don't they have a set time for updates?
