Hate to be THAT guy, but the image at the bottom of the article still shows last week's weeklies. (Which got me confused a lot as I was thinking "uhmm, where is the low grip race? 🤔 "

Table overview

Text summary

(Similar to Sky news/Daily Mail formats)

I've moved it about a few times and just didn't like how that looked. Maybe I'll continue experimenting next week...

Yes, if that can help, I got a bit confused because the title ("Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races January 26: Race B") was between the description and the table, while the video for the race was more "separating" the arguments, so it seemed like the text below the RX video would refer to Race A instead of Race B

I shared my replay in game in case anybody needs it, the top players are reversing up to the wall for a quicker start but I'm sure a donut is faster because you keep some momentum:

Watching this is exactly why I'm not doing race A this week, there's no way I can hold a candle to that 😂

Night and day compared to the Logitech g923. Unfortunately I couldn't yet update the firmware (still 1.94), but I've found a nice setup anyway. I feel more in control and therefore more consistent. I need btw an harder spring for the brake pedal. It's a lil too soft for my taste now. Btw very happy in general.

Ik what you mean with the 1.94, they make a stiffer 1 in the box you get! But dang it's dang stiff!

1.94 is the actual firmware version.
I've set the wheel as per Thrustmaster's recommendation (for what the firmware allows)and "in game" settings as follows:
  • joystick sensitivity: 10
  • max torque 4 (or 5 depending on car)
  • FFB sensitivity: 1
There's some very lil swinging in long straits, but it's not hindering much.
It's almost the same "response" that I had on my Gr. N Clio Williams (without powersteering obviously).

I was thrown off by the new formate I have to say. I think I prefer the old format Burt give me another week :lol:

I don’t know if it’s me or not but I really don’t like the way both the car and the track surface feels at Interlagos since the update.

Not to mention the RHs feel a lot more slippery there than they used to

It’s funny you should say that, I’ve just updated my firmware of my gtddpro recently and it’s a lot stronger than before, the rumble over the curbs is making my teeth shudder, I’ve order some rumble absorbing mats to go between my base and the rig
 
Jesus Interlagos is tough!!!!!!! Had about 10/12 quali laps and I’m way off the pace!!! So technical! Going to take a while to learn this. Not sure I will even get round to SuzukaZ

So after 36 miles getting in to the 1:32s will do still a couple of 1/10s on the table to find

I had the same the week we had Catalunya, but this time I won’t switch cars, staying with the 911 until the new one comes out Thursday, so chances are I’ll go backwards in car evolution terms.

And I started with a top 10 ghost which got me a decent time, had a race when I got home and pole was 1.32.998 and I was 12th at 1.34.2xx but a 1.33.8xx would have me top 6 so there’s something to go for.

Need to settle into a rhythm

I did one race on my Alt account from the back and made 5 places (A/S lobby) and could have made 2 or 3 more up but it was really congested mid pack, I don’t think a lot of people have converted their QT pace to race pace yet. On the massive plus side the lobby I had was largely/mostly respectful

I hate the rally events enough in single player. I have to turn the game down to easiest difficulty and then bully my way through b/c I'm garbage at the rally mechanics. Online rally is literally a nightmare :D

Can I get into your lobby please? 😂😂😂😂 I’ve done 5 races and it’s been an absolute war zone! The worst I’ve ever seen on any track I’ve raced so far. Push to pass every corner and people just shunting you off and not just me, lots of things in front as well! Going to give it a couple more races and if it doesn’t improve I will just take a week off racing or maybe do some licence tests as not enjoying it at all.or I think maybe now is the time to set up an alt account 🤷‍♂️

Boy, when it rains at Suzuka in race C, it really rains - even the full wets struggle to cope with it!

What is funny is the people that line up for the next (dry) race with intermediate or wet tyres fitted - I really think somebody ought to tell them before the race starts.....🤣

One thing I would really suggest and I need to take my own advice on this more, but it’s really good for learning to step out of your comfort zone and embrace that sort of week for you, it’s a really good way to forget about DR for a week and just try and learn as much as you can about racing with lobbies like that.

As is typical thought I’d do a QT lap for the alt to see if I can skip the back of the pack chaos and….eeerrrrrrr

Yeah I’m going to keep plugging away, had a couple of races to finish where it wasn’t as much carnage and got a P6 and P10. It’s such a technical track that I’m really going to have to up my game, but you’re right, I need to learn how to drive in traffic and survive! God knows how Suzuka will go when I get round to it!!!

Ha mate I saw the name and I genuinely thought about messaging on here to ask if that was your son or a relation!!!!! 😂 good to see you, albeit from a distance! Yeah I think that was one of the races I got absolutely nuked in 😂

In some people’s defense I don’t think it’s an easy track to avoid people and I am 100% sure I’ve been takin mg some funky lines or missing the apex and being slow so can’t completely blame everyone else (although 100% I do in the moment 😂) but there are deffo some bellend out there!

I ended up P11 in the previous race, I bumped a guy in 6th on lap 1, but he got a track limit penalty as a result 🙄 so I slowed to let him pass again, but P8,9,10 all decided to try and pile through as well and it all got a bit messy 😂

Is Interlagos known as a track that is just a complete washing machine of carnage with the type of corners it has?

I think there's a lot of corners that are a wide entry to be fast, but this leaves a door open for dives down the inside, which slows everyone up and leads to more dives.

It's definitely a bonus to start near the front and hopefully get someone to work with to build a gap, and then can race for a position on the last lap.

No.

Here is the last lap of my first Manu fractures cup wins there, I took it on the last straight but it was racing at its best.

Remember this is day one of a new set of dailies everyone is a little unsure and clumsy, it will tighten up quality wise or you’ll easily escape them pace wise.

With your QT I’d say from a far that you aren’t quiet taking the right speed on exits, brake a fraction less let the car coast and then ease on the power.

Famine didn’t quite say it in his article but all of these are flow tracks rally is always about flow, Interlagos is about flow and Suzuka is a flow track everywhere from the essses to the degnas and spoon
