A few races before everyone rose this morning, had to move back on to my main account as it got a little sweaty lower down in B, couple of guys with bad blood between them taking lumps out of each other but managed to keep away from it all and keep going.

Main account was good racing, luckily all BS so starting fairly well and finished in the blue for both 😁 apart from this one chap who kept cutting me off after the hairpin! Gave him plenty of space but still he just cuts me off!! Next race he was quite a few places up so wouldn’t come into contact until he started to get ratty with someone else and ended up coming home last for his troubles 🙏

Got my QT down to 1.27.3xx and that’s about it I would say, 1.26 going to elude me this week

Nice mate, always good to see see a dirty driver end up at the back.

I tried to take a leaf out of your book and get some early morning races in before I started my day, I don't know how you do it, had the reactions of a slug, rear ended the car in front in T1 as missed my braking point so had to wait for him.

Also has 2 A+ and 7 A drivers in the lobby so P9 got me a couple of hundred Dr still!

Still no news on next week races?

I’m quite alert at this godly hour 😁 and there is peace and quiet in the house and you have to saviour that where you find it

It’s weird isn’t it, would have thought those guys at Raceonlinehungary would have put it up already, back to checking it at 0730 before I leave for work Monday then
 
A+ driver using CSA just cracks on until he gets a 5s pen and quits.

I mean that’s not even “dude, almost had you…I’m exiting the corner” is what it is, he quit and got a 5s pen.

I do want to say something though, it’s cool going off meta and mixing things up, but this week the metas are extremely powerful in A/A+ lobbies so using an off meta car is fun but it’s problematic to extract the time/race performance
 
I think it also shines at Monza and Sardegna, so it’s a decent car.

But in my lobbies it’s not been too special, maybe ppl can’t drive it 😁 the GT has some speed but doesn’t seem to corner too well.

The Audi is formidable, but in any case, man Deep forest is great or absolutely crap, I’m so ready for a change and I’ve been away most of the week!

DF has been carnage this week for myself and pulled the plug 🔌 on it Wed. Hopefully some sound racing next week. Amazed we still don’t know what’s coming 🤠

It’s a race of what you expect and execute on, it’s a tight race and well known so the pace consistency condenses everyone. And close racing is always “complicated and all dr levels, just the complications shift a fraction”

There is an update next week, so let’s assume they are holding the races back or they have changed how they upload them.

Edit:

I want to touch on something, with such a condensed pace week there really are very little decent overtaking opportunities so consistency and patient are the aim for me.

This B isn’t really a place for position swapping it’s more about good consistency and pace not racing per se

What does it mean when you’re closing in on someone and they put their hazards on?

Came around on the straight with a good run in P1 and he put his hazards on as I was coming up behind to overtake?

Yeah I get ya here, it’s always a turgid week at DF, but like most weeks, there is good racing to be found.

Had a great little spell this morning, then this arvo had to switch to the alt account because it was just awful.

I suppose if you’ve got a life and other things to do it doesn’t matter 🤣😂

@Stringerbell it probably means take it easy don’t ram me off 🤣

But don’t focus on that stuff, when bump drafting peeps will do it to say thanks. It doesn’t matter ignore that stuff and just race and keep clean. Honestly bud, it’s polite but don’t worry about it just crack on

Fortunately I have a very full on life and enjoy GT7 hugely. Now that VR is available on MSFS I will have even more VR fun 🤩.

Race C has been pretty clean most of the weekend and pretty calamity free which has been nice. Plus I’m constantly finishing top 3 so that’s always a bonus! Oh group 4 how I have missed you 😂😂

At Brands last week I had someone constantly tooting their hooter and man! it was irritating and distracting.

I've started to flash my headlamps to let the player who's just dived bombed me on the inside know I'm not happy!!

If you are behind you get to choose bump drafting or not.

If you are behind it’s on you not to cock it up.

The main thing is really you don’t need to worry about the micro gestures, bump draft if the strat is to catch the peeps in front or run away.

What I wouldn’t worry about is what flashes mean without context.

I’ve actually tried to stay away from bump drafting as it affects yr SR? I need to point this out to guys bumping me then I’m just passing them! Must seem rude! 😁

Had some really good races this arvo at DF, also found a nice livery for the R8, anyone ever find that that you just can’t find a good looking livery for the Audi? I think it’s because it looks like ED209 head from that Robocop film 🤔

No it doesn’t if it’s managed speed, it’s only when the closing speed is high typically in the GR1 stuff that it’s penalised. Anything where it’s close closing speed is fine.

There are so many confusing myths about the mechanics of the game, like SR is actually a lagging indicator etc.

Don’t get me started with watching people rear end people or push wide while shouting “dude” or “sorry” and that contact is a thing. It’s absolutely not.

Also I’ve given up smoking so you will all bear the brunt for a few days.

It takes a while mate so bear with it, even now after a few year away I’m smoking a pack and spending a few days on patches! Those bad boys saved me 👊

It was a while, but I could celebrate with a wonderful final race at DF in mixed lobby DR A/B. The video starts at the end of 2nd lap, when I "asked" the guy behind me to work together. It turned out to be an epic battle, without malice. If we think that it can be usually carnage in such lobbies, check a double "three-wide at last hairpin" out.

Yeah Gr4 round there will be soul destroying

Be interesting to see if RBR is Gr3 or not as it's racing softs so maybe something faster?

EDIT: Bit Meh this week.

Race A - Fuji International - SH - Nissan 180sx Type X 96
Race B - High Speed Ring - RH - Gr4
Race C - Red Bull Ring - RS - Gr3


Not sure why to do, 13 laps round RBR will get dull quickly.

Are there any good single player things to do? Anyone had a blast on the power pack?
