What don't you like about Fuji?

I ran some qually laps before work and it seemed ok. Might be a dive bombers paradise in the actual races though.
I’ve tried it a few times and just don’t like it, too many bends and drivers jumping up the inside or as you say, dive bombers. I might give it a go because the car might make it and I might be harshly judging this one, not stoked about doing 13 laps RBR tbh

@Stringerbell that video is mad mate, that’s true life GT lobby racing right there! 🤣

Yeah mad isn't it, they changed the rules after that race

5 laps of RBR felt long when it was Race B back in Feb! God knows what 13 laps is going to feel like.

PD really needs to fix this, totally kills the race when the whole lobby are smashing into the wall:

Still too many bends mate 🤣

I actually did a Fuji race at lunch and it wasn’t too bad I have to say, it had 3 A+ in and only 11 ppl in total but it was nice a clean, no way this stuff lasts the week though,

Maybe PD comes to its senses and changes race B 😁
They usually do update it when wall riding or other problems arise (eg race length overlapping with next race), so fingers crossed they do this time, but they’ll have their hands full with the update this week. I hope so as I had a blast the last time we had Gr.4 at HSR, think I reached my all-time DR record that week, albeit followed swiftly by a steep fall 🤣.

Yeah hopefully won’t take too long to put a 1min pen for touching the wall, that ought to do the trick! 🤣

Edit. Or looks like a track limits tweek should do it

Fuji was damn near impossible back in my D-Pad days, but with a wheel I really enjoy it other than the silly chicane. The last couple of corners are really interesting and I seem to catch guys through there.

Looks like RBR this week though, always liked the track but let's see if there is any strat and if there's a clear meta.

Barca was fun last week trying to fight those bloody Citroens in the Alfa! Got a few top 5s in B/S lobbies. Best I could do.

RBR looks like the best race this week. I like Fuji but why SHs? You wouldn’t do a track day let alone a race on tires like that irl!

The revenge punting in the bloopers at the end of the video was so embarrassingly childish imho.

I do my fair share of squealing after getting punted but taking revenge isn't the answer for me. As Sensei Lawrence says sometimes you have to be the bigger man.

I race people how I am raced. It's pretty easy to tell the difference between an honest mistake and malicious contact at the B/S rating level. It's also pretty easy to tell the difference between "aggressive" and malicious though most of the time people who will drive that aggressively will also be malicious if they feel at all slighted or held up.

Most of the time my races are clean and fun. I also tend to stop playing dailies for a few days if there's a tense evening. When things are tense it's easy to ascribe intent where it doesn't exist and it's easy to misinterpret actions so if I step back for a day it lets me recenter myself.

guys I have 2 questions.. 1) have they changed something with SR? I'm stuck at B/B and even clean races don't help much 2) why do many fast drivers use countersteer assist? I'm asking geniuly because I never run any assists tbf (except abs)

The SR is tightly tuned at the moment, it’s also deferred in how it presents.

They are really doubling down on contact especially rear contact or accident proximity.

Ironically you can drive around the whole outside of the high speed ring :/

If I’m being honest and helpful, you probably are making more contact than you realise, not maliciously but accidentally them or you.

On the CSA thing most people fall in to tow camps, fast enough not to need it or need it to be fast enough to compete. Honestly don’t worry about them just do you with what works.

I use CSA weak which is excellent, it never ever intrudes unless I have a big massive slapper on and it helps me save it. The other assist, stability or something, that's unusable for me, car just understeers like crazy.

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Type X Marks the Spot

A new week brings a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, with three fresh events now live and running through next Monday. It’s a reasonably standard lineup of a one-make sprint, Gr.4 middle-distance, and Gr.3 finale, though Race C has enough tire wear to give it a proper strategic element...
