Already looking forward to Monday now for the new dailies. I feel the CoD is not as bad the dead of pitch black night we're having in Race C in the first half. At times, I feel a little disorientated which is why I switched on the racing line assistance. But can't play that race anymore.

I prefer Seaside to Gardens variation of DT. One of my absolute favorite tracks in the game. And as always, will go with the anti meta cars such as AMG, RCZ, Mazda etc.

P.S. - Just wish every race C had transitional time of day so we could experience day & night or dusk while racing.

Is there some kind of physics glitch? Watching replays of the aliens on Watkins Glen, after corner 1 when you go up the hill, they ALL ride along the bump strips as much as they can. Is it giving some kind of speed boost? I can see they go out of their way to do it so I guess it must be.
I can't seem to beat a 1:45.700 on my main account. Played around with brake bias but cant find what works best. I bet the top level players in the world adjust brake bias depending on corner tbh

It’s just angle. Reducing inputs — less is more, and shallower angles give you more.

After the update I don’t think BB is the magic bullet it once was. I’m struggling to find places where I’m using full braking and it’s a bit weird tbh.

There isn’t a trick to riding the curbs, it’s just opening the lines and minimising the steering inputs.

That can't explain it because you can take shallower angles up the hill by NOT riding the curbs as much as possible. There definitely is a trick later in the track as well, after the inner loop, you get more turn in on the outer loop if you ride the curb, likewise at the chute. Prior to the most recent update the curbs didnt 'pull you in' like they do now. You essentially get extra turn in without having to sacrifice speed. Very difficult to master though

I think I can play daily races every now and then, but I really wish PlayStation weren't so strict with what you're allowed to say in the game's chat and what you aren't. That really ruined PlayStation for me.

I understand Mate. So many times I'm ticked off by forceful punts or dirty driving but can't give those players a piece of my mind as I'll get a warning from Playstation. As said before, not having a way to report dirty driving/punting still seems so shocking.

Thanks for understanding and maybe those people will learn their lessons.

Yes, there is definitely something ‘funny’ going on with WG curbs through the starting right & left hander, has always been giving a little extra time, I use it there. I seem to remember too Kyoto having some sort of grab on to the curbs and it drags you around ‘thing’ in gr3 cars there recently on the corner prior to the downhill section

Next week's dailies (GTStats.Live):

DT Seaside - one of my absolute favorite tracks in the game.
Looking forward to see what race A throws up next week but failing that gr4 with Brocks skyline will do,

Been a funny week all in all, had a couple of wins at WG and one at Suzuka but as the week went on, WG became very processional and Suzuka got a little sweaty,

Haven’t raced too much over the summer, kids being off, combos being pony but here’s hoping the dailies get better going forwards, lots to look forward to with that incredible update to come this year! 👊

Welcome back mate, good to see you back on here!

Straight in with a double post to immediately piss the mods off 😂😂😂😂

Double Posting
“Double posting” occurs when a user makes two consecutive posts, one after another. If this is done for no apparent reason, “double posting” is typically frowned upon and may result in a warning or infraction for “spam”.

However, double-posting is not forbidden, and can be useful in many cases. For example, if a reasonable amount of time has passed or you have significant information to add to the topic, present it in a new post so that others, including thread subscribers, are made aware of the update.

Some folk need to concentrate on their own posts before determining the nature of others - and to use the Report button for perceived issues, rather than making posts about them and adding to the work, if any is needed, that the volunteer staff needs to do to correct them.

Thanks mate, good to be back and to be fair I posted at 8am so I’ve waiting all day to put another post down so didn’t mean to blatantly break the rules 👀

Are you back with us and off secondment now?

Also WB @brockie 👋

Edit: oh my word the grammar crimes I committed 🤣

The kerb thing has been a glitch in the game for ages, most notably at Kyoto where it hooks you then spits you out at speed and I think the same happens at WG.

Just got a Q3/P5 at Race C, fun! Too bad that six out of 14 racers quit. It’s a race that lasts over a hundred miles, too!
I think this race has a high attrition rate. In every race C I took part in, at least 5 would DNF/quit before the chequered flag.

Been away from the game for a while and just got back last week – what do the percentage numbers underneath Gr4, Gr4 and Road mean?
When these future dailies get revealed, the class of car for a specific daily isn't specified. On GTStats, they just give the probability of that class of car which might be used for that specific daily race.

catching the 3 curbs on the way up the hill has always been a faster way to do it, I think it does change the angle but it definitely has a pulling effect as well as on the left hand curb you can see the car actually jerk a little if you catch it.

However the other curbs seem to be more slippy, I remember catching the inside curb of the left hander after the long sweeping right a lot last time we were at WG but now it just seems to be spinning me.

Yeah that was really hard to actually pull off properly though on those though.

So to go with the inevitable Gr3 and Gr4 races in B & C, we have a fake road Gr3 in race A.

To be fair the RCZ Gr3 road car on the SMs is quite fun to drive.

I think this is where I’ll be at this week if that’s the case 😁
This is what Ive been saying since the update. 😁 Race cars + SM is where the fun is at now. That Gr3 "road car" is very much a race car after all.

I fell for Gr3 458 on SM at Redbull Ring already when I was testing the new physics.

Had 2 tricky races in daily race C. Maybe just I feel this but now the Seaside track is a little treacherous. Apart from myself, I saw at least 5 other players spin out at the exit of turn 2 (1st chicane). I played with the AMG & R8 & my goodness, the cars feel so nervous over the kerbs in S1. Even with RM, I wasn't able to derive much grip from both cars. In fact, the R8 felt more nervous than the AMG despite being a MR.

Will give it a go again as I love Seaside despite my weak performances till now.

Got a big negative hit on my Alt account Saturday. Starting from the back at Glen was dangerous, euphemistically speaking. Almost dropped to C, then I decided that I had enough. Sunday I did 15 races, winning 11 of them whilst killed only 3 times, after setting a QT. So back to a safe DR's buffer to continue starting from the back.

I see myself at DT during the weekend. The CoD should be less deadly with the new physics, I guess.
Wishing everyone an excellent racing week.

Nice to see you back around.

Took me a few laps to adapt to the poor brakes and power understeer on the RCZ.

I'll be TT'ing if not actually racing.

You have loads of time left on that lap btw, particularly the first half. Was chasing your ghost this morning.

Such a fun track, I haven't come across many players that don't like it.

This may seem expected about what I'm going to say about the Hyundai Genesis but for me it's relatively a new experience.

If there are some cars like Porsche 922, Genesis X etc. whose performances must be good but after racing with the Genesis without much practice & still finishing 2nd, the Genesis seems like the penthouse of the gr.3 garage.

I drove the AMG, R8, RCZ & Mazda RX-Vision. All of these cars got nervous over the kerbs (especially the long esses in S2) & even seem easy to spin out over the high kerbs in S1. But when driving the Genesis, almost all the negatives of those cars turns into positives for this car. No wonder this is the absolute meta Gr.3 car as of now.

I must've driven race C six times in those cars but each race felt like a slow motion of misery. Just one race in the Genesis uplifted my mood & confidence & desire to play Race C even more.
