Gotta say, this is a thoroughly garbage experience! Gonna settle in and watch a few videos you guys made of race A.I'm outta commission this week gents, gall bladder has to come out so no wrestling a wheel. Shame as racxe A looks like a bit of fun.
Nope, BOP overrides tunning oil etc.General question: we still don't have to worry about oil/motor in Boped online races, right?
Race A is like visiting hell & coming back out in tears. I'm happy CGV has come but this isn't an apt race to welcome the track.Gotta say, this is a thoroughly garbage experience! Gonna settle in and watch a few videos you guys made of race A.
Depends, are you getting answers from the people who are convinced clean oil/new motor does nothing or are you getting answers from the people who are convinced that changing oil/changing motor has noticeable impact?General question: we still don't have to worry about oil/motor in Boped online races, right?

Personally I'm convinced it does and nobody can argue me out of that position. I'm sure someone else will come along shortly who says completely the opposite of me![]()
I believe it does for two objective reasons with a bonus 3rd.Depends, are you getting answers from the people who are convinced clean oil/new motor does nothing or are you getting answers from the people who are convinced that changing oil/changing motor has noticeable impact?

Apart from the both of the Ferrari cars, I prefer F-Type. You'll be surprised how much fun this car is, not to mention speedy on the straights with good acceleration. Calster 25 summed this car well saying it's an underrated car.Had a decent Daily Race C at Fuji, was good fun battling with the 296 GT3, but the 458 is still a very hefty Meta car and the Citreon for sum reason also! One dodgy german driver was pusshing and buming past in the AMG GT3 but he got his karma!!
Might try the F-type Jag next!! In this, Managed a solid 5th place starting from the back of the grid.

Keep at it dude you will master soon, the best way I mastered it before Calsters video posted in this thread is use the Circuit exprience to master that last corner, at Fuji. I was the same like you for a long time on Fuji, fudging up that corner, but the way I mastered is with the Slow-in > Fast out principle. Use the controller trigeer wiht gradual brake control and always adjust the balance of brakes. I managed this when we had a NSX GT2 TT at Fuji a while back, and noticed I got faster every time I exited that corner and applied it to other cars liek GT3 gorup cars.I have a hard time with consistency in the racing line and the amount of braking in Fuji's last turn. It's so hard to brake consistently on a controller when you don't need 100 % braking.
I am braking 50-ish % from the moment the red barrier on the right leaves my screen, and I am taking quite a wide line (maybe a car's width from the kerbs). In some cases I go way too wide because my speed is still too high, in other cases I end up way too narrow so I'm having a very poor exit. Maybe once a race I nail the corner by pure chance. Taking a corner from the outside extremes of the track is clear to me, but that's not the quickest way in this particular corner. So my place on track during corner entry also varies a bit every time.
I have been looking at top time replays and some telemetry, but it's not so easy for me to copy it every corner. Maybe it's just a matter of keeping at it, until I am braking and cornering at the same speed and place every time.
On Tuesday I did 4 races: a P7, P8 and P9 finish despite several spins or punts in all of these races. One race I switched from hard tires to hard tiresand ended up last.
Do you have any links to the details?I thought it was a bit odd that there's was no BoP update with Spec 3, but they've done it now in the bug fix 1.66 patch. Mostly weight drops for the Gr3s.
Are there still people testing and analyzing the performance of racecars after the BoP updates?I thought it was a bit odd that there's was no BoP update with Spec 3, but they've done it now in the bug fix 1.66 patch. Mostly weight drops for the Gr3s.
Interesting, but sadly it seems Gr4 (the most unbalanced BOP) remains the sameI thought it was a bit odd that there's was no BoP update with Spec 3, but they've done it now in the bug fix 1.66 patch. Mostly weight drops for the Gr3s.

Good training as it looks like it might be Green Hell Gr4 next week.Found a (little) new love for Sports Mode, racing odd Gr.4 cars in daily races. Currently the Mustang and Jag at Yas Marina. Next up i I'll try the Viper and Vette.
After that Update I'll probably take my favourites to the green hell to get my personal performance analysis. But I'm not very consistent, so this isn't worth anything for anyone.
Looking at the cold numbers for high speed bop the NSX, RCZ and WRX are now serious choices (The RCZ already was) but the surprise (for me at least) is that they give even more power to the F-type wich was a rocket in straight line.Looks like some of the older cars are getting big changes: DBR9, WRX, Atenza, McLaren F1, Mustang.
Weird that the RCZ and 911 are getting such big buffs, though. I thought they were already pretty competitive.
That is in the high-speed BoP. In the mid-speed one, the F-type is getting an increase in power and weight, which appear to be mostly cancelling each other out. Isn't Fuji classified as a mid-speed track? Maybe that car won't be affected much this week.the surprise (for me at least) is that they give even more power to the F-type wich was a rocket in straight line.
I think it could turn into the META for the rest of the week at Fuji
My bad. I assumed Fuji was classified as a high speed track but you are right, is a mid one so the F-type shouldnt stand out here. That is in the high-speed BoP. Yep - filtering the leaderboards down to the last 6 hours, 5 of the top 7 times at Fuji are in the R8.My bad. I assumed Fuji was classified as a high speed track but you are right, is a mid one so the F-type shouldnt stand out here.
The car wich might appear in the top leaderboards now is the R8 given it was already good in Fuji and now it had some weight reduction and max power increase.
I dont know if I will find the time tonight to check it so Im eager to read the comments of the people here doing daily C.
