The fact is, pd aren't going this way, so no point moaning. No, besides that is a big if. People paid money for this product, they're entitled to get the full thing before the company thinks about the next one.
Why? It's pretty simple business, you don't start talking about your next product before you've finished the last one, especially if you made promises to deliver certain things. Customers don't take too kindly hearing a company talk about how awesome their next product is going to be when the product they bought isn't working/isn't finished/isn't as described or whatever.
The fact is, pd aren't going this way, so no point moaning.
You should continue, but its selfish to stop GT7 or any other game for ps4 because ps3 game is not good.I'm not being hostile although I realise that does come across in my written style. I just don't appreciate being told that I can't continue to make points because PD won't listen. That may be the case but I can and will still continue to make my points, just as anyone else is free to.![]()
No offense, but many of us consumers are a little more discerning than you are. I paid good money for GT6 and it's not finished and I see little sign it ever will be. To begin talking about the next game and not even acknowledge the sorry state this game is in, is the equivalent of the old 🤬 you in my books. As I've said before, I'll take a heartfelt apology with some compensation (free stuff in the next game) from PD in acknowledging that they just can't deliver on all their promises. I don't want a politically correct, corporate, bureaucratic generic statement either, I want something from the heart that acknowledges the passion of the fans and our individual connection to the franchise and Kaz himself. And it has to come from Kaz. I expect some humility and sincere regret.Just saying things aren't likely to change with pd, so can't really continue to "make points" in hope of them changing their mind or something, they're either super deaf or stubborn.
Still love em though

I still say they should fix GT6 but GT7 should not be hold back because of it. Actually many wanted (as Sony did) to have it on ps3 because installbase was so big. But then ps4 sold better than ever and with low number of games. I can imagine sonys quest to release more titles and begs all to do so, so that ps4 stays as no1 console. So whatever PD chooses to do they are as i think not alone to command this. That is the beauty of having exclusive deal with Sony but also a hinderance if you want to have freedom. I have written it before, once GT7 is announced focus will shift from GT6 and if GT7 is really great then GT6 can be forgotten really quickly.
They shouldn't be showing their new product until they've finished the last one.
I am with you, i get it, but since there is a new console out GT7 and GT6 has nothing to do with each other. Its like you bought a used house they never finished decorating with furniture and paint inside and for that no one elses house should be finished even if they want it from scratch.Selfish to stop GT7 because of GT6 not being finished? Ha, no. Polyphony Digital chose to put the game out as they did, it's up to them as a company to finish it. I'm not being selfish wanting them to finish what they promised they would and this is not exclusive to video games, it applies to any product. You might be happy to throw away money on a product and just ignore the fact the company producing it didn't finish it, not everyone else is.
Finally no, if GT7 is announced and GT6 is left unfinished then I will not forget about it, I'm sure many other consumers wouldn't either. I mean if I promised to build you a complete house, got it mostly finished then left it to start on another house would you be happy and forget about it? I'd think not.

Good choiceMocking?
I know some of you guys hate to read this, but a big hunk of the fanbase really is ready to leave the cramped sinking PS3 ship, and head on out

That is how i see it, the old frame is there in GT6 but content is lacking.
What you can do is warn all others of course that if they choose same company for fixing old houses they might end without furniture too.
But on the other hand, GT6 for me was never interresting and for many more, because we want totally new not old stuff.
So one part doesnt exclude the other or that new customers even care about what happened before.
So i will take a risk buying GT7 even if i know PD sucks regarding customer relations.
Oh I think I hit the proverbial nail on the head with "discerning" thank you very much. I am not "crying" for an apology as you so childishly put it, I said I would accept an apology from Kaz and accept the failure of PD to finish the game, and some incentive in the form of free DLC to sweeten the apology would go over quite well. So either finish the game as promised, or apologize for not doing so and move on. I think those are quite reasonable options for a "discerning", loyal, 16 year customer. To move on as if nothing happened with GT6 (pun intended) would be a slap in the face to the 2 million+ souls that paid good money for a game never completed as advertised, if that is indeed the case.uuuhhh? I don't think you know what discerning means.
Discerning: Showing insight and understanding. Or, Able to see and understand people, things, or situations clearly and intelligently.
Crying for an apology and for the whole series to grind to a halt until you get it is hardly discerning. Especially since your reason for wanting it is little more than a guess.
Looking at the rest of your post "irritable" might be a better fit. "Petulant" if you want to sound smart.
please don't say I'm less discerning. Just because I'm saying that pd don't listen to our complaints that means I'm less discerning? Wow.No offense, but many of us consumers are a little more discerning than you are. I paid good money for GT6 and it's not finished and I see little sign it ever will be. I didn't direct anything towards you specifically so you're safeplease don't say I'm less discerning. Just because I'm saying that pd don't listen to our complaints that means I'm less discerning? Wow.
In simple terms a company owes it to it's customers to tell them the status of the current product before moving onto the next one. If all the missing features are added before E3 then fine, show what you like. If they're not, they shouldn't be parading a new game to the world without telling us what's going on with the rest of the last game.
They can unveil GT7 for PS4, announce that the prologue will come out in 2015, and then tell those with GT6 that the rest of 2014 will be focused on content for GT6.

Thanks you Kreskin for that wonderful insight into my mind. Since you're obviously a talented mind reader, why don't you just answer my questions for me and save me the trouble. Now, I suspect you'll be upset if PD says anything at E3 regardless of whether I'm right or wrong because lets be honest, you've made up your mind already. But, I figured it could still be food for thought.

Yes, but what would be a complete GT6?2: GT6 is not finished yet as a product,
PD needs to complete it before
GT7 is out.
Well it still should but not so sure it will, PD will not halt GT7. But i agree with those who are frustrated, they can at least say if they are really going to complete it.Yes, but what would be a complete GT6?
And if GT6 is more or less "completed" but not many care because they've moved on to DriveClub or P CARS or Assetto Corsa or whatever, who is going to be happy with this if it delays GT7?
All I see in this debate is a lot of people being mad for the sake of it.
