I might have to buy more than two of a couple Hypercars to replicate the Alpine, Cadillac, and Lamborghini. I guess the 499 are closest in likeness of those three.

I am pretty sure there will liveries for them the same day for that exact reason. It would really good if they bought them to the game. I guess the Cadillac would probably stand the best chance to be put in the game though

It's actually a little surprising, thinking about it, that the Alpine isn't part of this pack, given the recent love PD have been giving Renault.
Plot twist, they're coming, but the other WEC cars people want weren't finished yet in time for the trailer (but it's probably too late to get them into the June update).

/s but it would be cool if true. Hopefully the Alpine and Cadillac will come in the next or a future update before the season ends (Valkyrie, Genesis and Toyota too? Might be asking for too much). Happy to get the cars already shown.

It’s always nice to get official cars in Gran Turismo. So much a slow build up of hype is brewing in me.

Been looking at the picture of the five cars, but really want to look closely at these cars when they get added.
It’s interesting about the years:
2025 for the BMW and Peugeot, 2024 for the Porsche, and 2023 for the Ferrari.
Wonder when PD started scanning them.

It was revealed this month, so maybe around September of last year. From scan to final product, I remember hearing it's nine months.

I guess either before or after the 2025 WEC season for the BMW and Peugeot. Last race was November 2025. Gives them eight months.
Maybe the same for the Porsche and Ferrari during those years.
We got the GR010 in April '22, with the final WEC race in November '21. Probably the "old" six month modelling time frame.

could be also , the models could be just sitting in someones hard drive like that M4 GT3 :D

The Peugeot 9X8 was scanned at the 6h of Fuji 2025, the 100th race of WEC :

September 28th 2025, exactly eight months ago.

I think the Safety Car will be based on a 911 992 Turbo S, so technically we won't be getting a new car as it is already in the game.

I don't think we'll get anything like multiclass racing or an expanded grid size. Not that it's impossible, I just think it didn't even cross their minds.

No new track but :
- Monza full day / night cycle

As for new events, I expect this :
European Sunday Cup 400
- One race for the Twingo since no new race was added for it last time (Deep Forest or Tsukuba may be).

GT Cup Gr.1 (chili races)
  • Spa Francorchamps 1H
  • Monza 1H
  • Le Mans 1H (or longer, like 24 laps)

They could very well turn it into a championship instead, but I doubt it.

I wonder if this will be a start to new manufacturer championships. We already see not every brand participate in Gr.3 and Gr.4. Which are what Nations races are for. The game could get away with the 2020s Hyper cars for players to pick for a season. More manufacturers like Genesis, Alpine, etc. can be addded to grow the category.

I think a new circuit is unlikely given how recently we got 2.

However, it would be weird to show off new Hypercars ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on a version of the circuit from 2018.

I wonder if we will get an enhanced version of Circuit de la Sarthe.

If the rest of the update is a State of Play announcement, I can't see "we updated a track that's already in the game" being a headline that appeals to the broader audience watching that program.

If PD aren't on the SoP, then I could see updated Le Mans as a thing actually - the track was conspicuously absent from the preview trailer, despite it being a preview of Le Mans cars for an update releasing around the time of Le Mans.

I hadn't even noticed that, good point.

I really hope the 9X8 has body options to remove the rear wing. I want to run the wingless 9X8 so bad, it's my favorite weird race car alongside the GT-R LM Nismo :D

Getting the wingless version through GT Auto wouldn't be technically right though. In the same update where they added the wing there were a lot of other changes, including tyre widths both front and rear to suit the different aerodynamical balance so it would end up being an odd Frankenstein edition.
