Two TTs at the same time, guess which one is easy and which is NOT !

Hi friendos!! Two posts in one day who dis!? Very busy period of life has come to the end somewhat so I was able to commit to an hour of racing cockpit ASMR tonight with a nice Australian Shiraz..

Ooft it’s a lot of fun, I could cry about starting even further back than normal at Daytona but besides that it’s quite a lot of fun. What a car!!

Finally got to the Camaro - did okay for my first session, though it took me a good while to figure out even a gold time.

2:17.786 with an optimum about one hundredth faster. Need to find a lot more time - will try larger/wide wheels and a wing next time out.

They do TT and don't give you a chance to buy a car for it.
I don't have Daytona and doesn't like to drive rent cars, so this will wait.

Same goes for RB and wrong direction of Deep Forest.

After checking my garage and not finding it, surely they would have had it in the LCD right? Nope. I was ready to buy one too. PD fail.

I was hoping for a 51 but never expected it that quickly. Optimals in the .7xx range so I'll be back for more.

Seems I've been at a disadvantage. Simnet pedals with the DD Pro is just mint. Do recommend for anyone who has thought about it! Do it now! Lol.

Cheers all. I see you @Dan_Tes and if the stars align I'm gonna be very near by! 🍻😘😘

Kinda late but hey, another successful attempt that results in another 2 Milllion Credits and another gold. Now to work on the the newest 2 combos for what might be the most fun combined 4 Million Credits yet (Yes, I find the X2019 fun. No idea why but I strangely am enjoying this abit more in GT7 then in GT Sport).

Hey all - sorry well behind on the thread, but kudos to all those hitting their targets. Had a run in the Camaro again yesterday but the best I managed was only within a tenth of my PB. Might have peaked here.

Tried the Shelby on Thursday evening and then again this morning. The Bus Stop will be the death of my nerves though. So many good laps ruined because of an unhelpful bump, a few blades of grass or being too cautious. Shaved some tenths off the Thursday run and painfully close to breaking into the 51’s - was nearly 4 tenths up on the lap below at one point. Will try again tomorrow morning if I’m up early enough. That optimal looks promising…

I lose so much time at the Deep Forest hairpin, bro. I usually arrive at the first split in 26.5, on my PB I did 26.3. Idk how to fix it. If I brake any later I don't make the corner, I can't turn in more than full lock and if i go on the throttle quicker I spin out.

I feel like being fast on Gran Turismo revolves for 90% around the slow corners.

I have made pretty good progress in the Z28. This will probably be my last session with it because I want to go to Daytona in the Daytona.

It wasn't the best lap and there are a few places I'm still losing time but it's about as close to my optimal time as I've gotten in a while.

Here's the video, VR gameplay at the end.

I hope everyone is doing well!

@crome slow down! I can't keep up!

I can't buy the Chevrolet Camaro anywhere either. Is it a 'Power Pack" car or something?

Haha, still awesome lap buddy! I am indeed pretty pleased with mine as well. It‘s one of those addictive combos where I felt like getting better with every passing minute, and I still didn’t quite reach the ceiling in the end.

Right now I am focusing exclusively on the „doing well“ part. On vacation with the family in Vietnam 🇻🇳 so no Daytona time from me 😉

Hope you guys have a good time as well!

Daytona ist great. Love the car with these tires. Not nailing an apex isn't the end of the world and getting the bus stop right is doable too.

Let's see if this holds for a new PB leaderboard ranking.

However let's not talk about Deep Forest. Hairpin is death.

A little bit of grindinnnngggg on 7-8laps and managed to pull some tenths back to improve my silver time!!!

Being almost exactly 3secs slower than top tier aliens isn't bad right, after all I'm just a meat popsicle! hehe.

Until it isn't. Somehow managed to get consistent 26.3s and get on the power somewhat soon enough.

The rest of the course is much more doable imo but of course I spun out touching the grass more than enough.

The three slow corners also have challenging acceleration zones but none are as neck breaking as the hairpin in my opinion.

Ultimately snuck into gold and am somewhat confident that it is going to gold given that the top 10 already has its fair share of world tour drivers which seem to have gotten to limit or very close to it already.

Given the three time trials that are available, I didn’t expect to get hooked on DF reverse with the Red Bull, a car that I’m usually pretty average with. After getting over the fact that this car is indeed a death trap and wants to kill me at every opportunity, I stuck with it and you know what… it’s kinda growing on me 😂

I pushed all the way down to the 1:08.1s before hitting a wall, a good 300 mile session today and just couldn’t push any lower, so this might in fact be my limit. I’ve seen optimals throughout the session that show I could be in the high 1:07s if I could just stop making errors. The utterly unforgiving precision that this car requires… it’s brutal! But sticking with it for so long, probably has helped me improve my overall skill level. This is actually the first Red Bull TT where I can take the car for consecutive laps without crashing, without any assists (just ABS default), but I’m fastest with TCS1 here. CSA is really a toss-up, with it on it feels more stable but slower to turn-in; ultimately with it off I feel faster and more lively.

I know, this car does not allow for errors and recovery. This lap, i jacked up the final turn, but still made my PB . So happy with that. CSA is not useful in this car, it really seems to slow it down, IMO. I am also using TCS1

S2to S3 transition through S3 seems to be my problem to get faster. Slowly figuring it out. Happy with a Top10 USA !!
