Good progress this morning. Well into the 51s at Daytona after picking up 2 tenths from yesterday morning. More consistent through the Bus Stop today, but cut it pretty close on my fast lap! Pictures from 14 hours ago so apologies if they are a bit out of date and have dismissed others progress.

I know, this car does not allow for errors and recovery. This lap, i jacked up the final turn, but still made my PB . So happy with that. CSA is not useful in this car, it really seems to slow it down, IMO. I am also using TCS1

S2to S3 transition through S3 seems to be my problem to get faster. Slowly figuring it out. Happy with a Top10 USA !!

Back from 3 weeks vacation!

Missed the Gr.2 event, but not really to bummed about that seeing I'm not the biggest expert with high-downforce cars...

Did 5 laps in both the Camaro and the Shelby. Both are gold for now.
I'll put some time in the Camaro, unexpected but nice combo.
The Shelby will depend if it stays gold and what the new combo will be.

YT is great, but do share it in Showcase, there is can be viewed, paused, and change views, which we cannot do on YT ;)

Something quite addictive about this one. I've taken it upon myself to try some of these without a ghost and just use the data logger. Though I haven't closed the gap to 1st, I have come away with far more knowledge on how to drive this car at this track. Ultimately hoping that doing this will help me actually learn the track rather than just trying to keep up with a ghost.

Improved quite a bit at Alsace and got my 2:16, with a 2:16.863! Optimum was a .565, but I absolutely nailed S3 in a way that I absolutely could not ever recover from on the following laps. Best was on lap 6 (funny enough, I found half a tenth on my first lap out)...and I ran 21. I could find time elsewhere, but whether or not the car will actually stop on the big downhill before the last chicane was really luck of the draw...and doing it quickly was furthermore unlikely.

I think I'm going to call this one.

Seems wrong on more than 1 level to drive these cars,

As it states in the 1st post, don't have to use the equipment, PS+ sub is required however, if ya' got the rest, you're welcome to use it. Just don't be a 'sploiter 'sploiting cheater while ya' do use 'em.

Woodward week, so I'm a bit short on time at night this week, so instead of going back to the extremely fun Alsace TT, I may just leave it where it is, as I'm happy with the time (though I know there's more time in it - that last downhill + chicane is just such a lap killer). I decided, instead, to take a crack at the Daytona...at Daytona. :lol:

Initially I was really struggling to figure the thing out, but eventually I got the hang of it, and it's another fun one (but holy no brakes, Batman!) - not too bad for a first session - 1:52.215 with a .099 optimum, meaning a 1:51 should be doable, probably!

Well I did manage to improve on it, using my alt account.

Just need to try get the time down a bit in the Red Bull over the next week.
 
Gave Daytona a lash last night, I really, really, really do not get along with this track. Every corner feels like it is on ice on exit, not just in this car but everytime we race here. I just cannot get the power down at all. Managed to run a very high 53 for gold but suspect i need more. I have it in me but not enjoying it at all.

As for the RB thingy at Deep Forest, good lord. i did a half decent lap and though likely edge gold and i was bronze...... man. I feel like it is moving at warp speed, i can't react quick enough, it will take a long time for me to get gold i suspect, if anything just to adapt to the corners coming at you so damn fast.

I was looking forward to this one, it seemed attractive on paper but in reality I don’t think it was fun at all, incredibly annoying on acceleration, trying to make sure inner wheel won’t spin 'til infinity and avoiding the pit limiter. With some adjustments/tuning I think it probably could’ve been really good but BoPed like this, nah...

Annoyingly, it seems they decided to not option the Z/28 in the game with Positraction.
 
Completely off the pace here, don't understand this car at all. Somehow it is quicker if you get some wheelspin when you put the throttle down, but only in a very specific way? What a mystery.

Once again re-affirming that I am not a fan of Alsace, braking into the second last corner has no braking markers or even a single reference point (unless you count a specific flower as a reference point). Great way to throw away good laps by completely out-braking yourself right at the end of the lap.

Unfortunately for this lap, there is probably at least another 2 tenths easily findable as I accidentally started drifting around the S3 hairpin and didn't have an optimal first turn in S2. Of course there is really a lot more time to be found if I could figure out how to use the wheelspin properly.

Ugh another Redbull event already ... gross. Shelby at Daytona looks fun though.
 
I figured I'd try Alsace one more time, but wasn't able to do anything better than the previous outing, and my optimum wasn't as good, either.

Worth noting: this car doesn't actually have a rev limiter in real life, and the redline is considerably higher than the game's car so...maybe they should fix that.

At least it was a fairly fun TT to go back to, even if I got home late tonight and really had compressed timing. In hindsight, should've done the Daytona or RB, but oh well, wanted to try, but that last downhill/chicane is just...horrendous.
 
Not interested in a single of 3 actual TT's!

Daytona may be good, but I don't rent cars.

Deep Forest would be fantastic - if it isn't reverse ◀️

And layout of Lago Maggiore, don't know. Doesn't like car choice neither layout.

It should have been Caterham, but PD is playing us...
