OK, three TT’s in quick succession! Three nights in a row, one session each. Knocked them off Saturday, Sunday and Monday night. Started off with the Shelby Daytona.
Before I started driving SS seemed perhaps a tad grippy but this turned out fairly decent. Finally some slightly different time settings too which was welcome. More of that, please. Bus stop is always an insane pain at Daytona but apart from that, not bad.
The MR2. Sounded like a cool TT and I think it was as well. To be honest, the first one where I genuinely enjoyed myself in a long time and found it to be quite fun. Fairly tricky to nail the penultimate and final corner and there was some time left in it, in fact I was +0,081 behind my previous PB, a .234, at the split just before the penultimate corner but nailed those two final ones and carried it home to a .173.
RB X2019. Really tired of this, had zero motivation given that it’s the sixth time we’re doing a TT in this car. I mean, just think about that again. Six times. In the same car. Enough with these lame GTWS tie in TT’s. Still hundreds we’ve never driven. To my great surprise I got a respectable lap in after just about 120 kms, was expecting to have to spend more time on this. The lap just kinda clicked and hooked together with a few minor slip ups and wheelspins here and there, nothing major.
Obviously some left in it to go sub 08 but it was clear to me that looking for that would just cause too much frustration, I’d rather end on a happy note instead of spending a few more hours on it, getting annoyed to only gain perhaps half a tenth in the end. Not really worth it. I’m a non-factor in this car anyway.
