OK, three TT’s in quick succession! Three nights in a row, one session each. Knocked them off Saturday, Sunday and Monday night. Started off with the Shelby Daytona.

Before I started driving SS seemed perhaps a tad grippy but this turned out fairly decent. Finally some slightly different time settings too which was welcome. More of that, please. Bus stop is always an insane pain at Daytona but apart from that, not bad.

The MR2. Sounded like a cool TT and I think it was as well. To be honest, the first one where I genuinely enjoyed myself in a long time and found it to be quite fun. Fairly tricky to nail the penultimate and final corner and there was some time left in it, in fact I was +0,081 behind my previous PB, a .234, at the split just before the penultimate corner but nailed those two final ones and carried it home to a .173.

RB X2019. Really tired of this, had zero motivation given that it’s the sixth time we’re doing a TT in this car. I mean, just think about that again. Six times. In the same car. Enough with these lame GTWS tie in TT’s. Still hundreds we’ve never driven. To my great surprise I got a respectable lap in after just about 120 kms, was expecting to have to spend more time on this. The lap just kinda clicked and hooked together with a few minor slip ups and wheelspins here and there, nothing major.

Obviously some left in it to go sub 08 but it was clear to me that looking for that would just cause too much frustration, I’d rather end on a happy note instead of spending a few more hours on it, getting annoyed to only gain perhaps half a tenth in the end. Not really worth it. I’m a non-factor in this car anyway.

PD: So, what you're saying is: you want more RB X2019 time trials?

Shelby at Daytona was surprisingly good fun. Need to have some fine throttle control for the corner exits around here. Was able to sort this about without too much trouble. Nice to be driving at a time of day other than noon for once (as @NAXEHT also pointed out).

Had a tenth in the optimum, which I believe came from getting a bit of wheel spin on the exit of the West Horseshoe hairpin, but the rest of the lap was optimum. Hit the grass on the bus stop in a way that rotated the car perfectly, couldn't go much quicker through there.

Unfortunately, wasn't so successful with the MR2. Had a .2 in the optimum which I felt was achievable, but I was getting too tired and frustrated by the lack of progress. Eventually gave up, after a fruitless 100km with no improvement to the best lap. I think if I had nailed all 6 corners there was probably a .1 in there somewhere.

As per usual, putting a whole lap together was not allowed. Having an optimum S1 usually meant I would out brake myself into the penultimate corner. The few times I had an optimum penultimate corner, it came after having a slow S1, followed by a miserable final corner. Perhaps if I had another day to do this I might've been able to get some improvement in, but I guess it wasn't too be.

Didn't bother with a replay for this one, too tired and annoyed by the time I gave up

Would have loved another week in the MR2 like we usually get, but nah, let's not do that and have a third, terrible, one to also deal with.

It took me 128 miles, but I found a whole half a tenth in the MR2, and got myself down to a 0:52.406.

Probably shoulda just spent the time at Daytona, as that's an even more fun one.

And I would have, if not for Oops This One's Only a Week Long.

But, clearly: **** that Red Bull TT. It was not even in consideration.

@half_sourly Maybe some trouble in approach. From yesterday, 0 DG-Edge updating and some trouble with Gran-Turismo.com too.

Thx mate

I won't be able to check until the weekend. Hopefully it will be sorted by then.

It's a new concept ? One TT lasts a week, and the other lasts two week.

Fun new physics. Determined that the CSA assist is even more of an aid than before.
Gained an instant 2 tenths over my non-assisted lap.

Could be related to just this particular car as I have yet to drive any other cars with the new update. Kinda cool to be ahead of Adam by over 2 tenths. Maybe this new physics model is his cryptonite🤣.

Autopolis ghost is bugged on PS4. It's lagging 3s behind.
I think it's not just Autopolis or PS4. On the Nürburgring TT when I start with, say, 0.5 s offset and having it reset at sector start, it feels like the game now subtracts 0.1 seconds at every new sector, so the ghost gets closer and closer and by the time I reach S5 it is level with me. Very annoying because I'm basically useless without a ghost 😄

Hope they fix it soon.

First time in Caterham 1:16.8
Don't know how to improve, 👽 must be driving with some assists, while I have only ABS.

1:14.9

The Cateram's persistent skittishness annoys me on a deep personal level. I may learn to hate the car by the end of this TT. Decreasing controller sensitivity has helped. I may turn on counter-steer assist later.

At least the Cateram feels much better than the BAC Mono... Though, truthfully, the Mono set that bar in hell.
