first day on it and it feels weird caterham is light keen to oversteer tires feel weird when turning but we just need to adjust what else could we do 😅 tomorrow gonna try the 24TT love any vers with the Nord in but The EV and overtake might be 🤮

It pulls towards the grass! Exiting turn 1, if you get NEAR the grass on the right it sucks you n like the magnetic walls, we now have magnetic grass I swear.

I noticed that as well! Sucks you right in, in an uncontrollable fashion!

I just did the Barcelona weekly challenge and the audio was popping a lot for me, so that's a neat new feature as well. It didn't on the other weekly challenge races I did today.

But one of those is a rally (Evo meet at Colorado) and mother of God that's bad now. Real bad.

I have overtake mapped to my R3 button on my G923 wheel. I wonder if I can just tape it down for the session. :lol:

I noticed the grass being insanely sketchy in the Caterham. The second you touched a blade, you're going round.

Took some studying, but a fun one. CSA strong, abs default. Another half tenth or so in the opt. Good fun in this car but can't say I'm enjoying the physics overall.

The only time I use ABS default plus CSA is when I intend to use the handbrake. Otherwise default ABS is totally garbage with road cars and it especially doesn't compliment the CSA aid at all.

Do try weak ABS for me, and come back with your results!

Give it a run with abs off Dan. No joke. Really hard to lock up the tires.

After a 2 month hiatus, I'm back to prove the cat's still got it. I honestly thought I would struggle to get comfortable again but no, it wasn't a total disaster and I actually ended up having fun. The purity and design of the Seven is soo endearing because it's a no BS sort of vehicle which uses good old fashioned mechanical grip to generate performance. I'm more than happy to have another crack tonight because I believe a 1:14 is possible.

A bit of a case of I began to unlock the pace to grab the WR, but then I missed a few opportunities to get it (high .2xx's at split 2) started to mentally lose the edge, then limped home with a relatively uninspiring lap. Still I'll bank the data collected and return sometime next week. 130 controller vibration function used.

Rally is so bad now! I stupidly started with the new circuit experience and the game felt completely broken. Like I’d lost years worth of rallying knowhow in GT. So the fact that there are new rally events this week with the new physics is just horrible
 
I'm back home so will get the results out soon (probably tomorrow).

In the meantime I had a go at the Caterham TT today. Absolutely brilliant! Easily a top 3 best ever TT. That thing is just so much fun to drive. It is just a pity we only have it until Thursday.

this has been a while!
I lost the need to beep every morning cause life changed, in a good way for me though!
Lots of going on right now and exhausted from the new job 😁
Did check out the new physics though.... and I don't like it, did a few laps at Autopolis and tire squeeked my way to a .6xx but thought it was the car.... then I started the Nordschleife and there the problem was even worse, what a different way of input you have to give, I'll probably will get used to it but with the low frequentie I am playing now it will take a while 🤣🤣

So I'll pop up on the leaderboard now and then probably 🤣

Good to see you guys hammering, great times people!

I severly underestimated the mountain I had to climb last night. I thought I'd get into the 14s far quicker than I did because I'm like, it's only a tenth and a bit... how hard can that be? This is track is made for you to hate with some truly awful corners that don't make any sense. Yet somehow, I got my ducks in a row and pulled something unexpected out of the bag. I could barely believe the number that showed up because I was stuck in the 15's for such a long time. Safe to say I'm done here.

Morning everyone from California- very little time with the new physics but managed to squeeze a 14.7 out of the Caterham. Much more speed available, but no more time. Traveling again this week. Cheers

I had a second session with the Caterham. Even though grip is abysmal on this thing I’m actually enjoying the handling. I improved and actually found my best time with TCS 1 and CSA strong.

Then had another go with the Ioniq. This time I taped my L2 overtake button down on the wheel. Managed to actually complete some laps and got into silver. I’m not good at the Nordshliefer (sp?). I like short tracks. Anyway I doubt I’ll be able to get gold on their one.

The Caterham is being a love/hate situationship for me. Fun car but a handful if you push it. Finally did find a good groove last night, but very short lived, only like 3-4 laps, got this run and then started falling off. I think the beer maaaaay have had something to do with that though. 😂
Going to try some more. I wanted to top 10 USA, but just not sure i can hit that low, so, not sure how much more effort I want to give this as the Nurb is going to be brutal I suspect.

Hi folks. great to see so many "old-timers" back in this thread, like @Gomario JSP for example.

I managed to squeeze both 1 week TTs in despite a week of holidays including my first ever attendance of a proper car race. DTM at Nürburgring GP. Great atmosphere and managed to see quite a few wheel to wheel action through AMG Arena.

Nürb 24 hours, a WEC and an F1 race are definitely on my bucket list but not sure that will ever happen.

Same here. I was confused how the top ghost managed to get on the power that early that they were seemingly flying away. Until it hit me. 😂
 
Found a few more tenths in the Caterham...I'm...maybe...sorta...figuring this one out a little more? Kinda...not really. But got down to a 1:14.609, albeit with a .260 optimum that's very difficult to achieve. Hopefully can further improve.

The ghost issue is really throwing me off, but it seems like I can have it not reset and have the 0.4 offset and that seems to work...for now...

But they really need to fix this issue. Like...now.
 
Got the Caterham down to what I think is a safe 15.5. I am absolutely clueless how folks are in the 14s, let alone 13s, i feel like i am on the absolute ragged edge.

The more the aliens complain about the physics, the more it suspect they may suit me. Hard to tell so far but in the few road cars I've tried as I farm cedits on the weeklies, the cars feel pretty good to me.
