One complaint about this new update. The new missions are handled poorly. They're great missions, but it's a pain to try to do them with friends because you can't just host without going in and out of the mission since it's only a join option. So that leads to everyone joining and leaving because everyone wants control of hosting when they want to play with friends.

According to the GTA Wiki, the Heavy Sniper can disable a helicopter's tail rotor in two shots. Does each shot have to be on the tail rotor hub itself, or can it hit the blades? Also, does this apply to Cargotanks Cargobobs?

That is a question that demands testing.

But what I know is the engine locations for helicopter normally being behind the passenger area, except maybe the Cargobob.

A Chinook in real life has 2 engines, located under one rotor, and made for powering said rotor. I doubt that's how it works in GTA, though, since a damaged Cargobob will stall both rotors..

But here's something you are probably owed.

Can someone post a few images of the Insurgent with it's rear door open?

The usual song.

Aww man. You had me really excited with the second-to-last image. I thought people could actually ride in the back. It's still surprising that you can actually climb into the back, though.

I know. My reaction is the same when I first climbed in.. to literally just climb in the thing.

But the thing is, aside from vertical clipping, you can walk (or just phase through that armor) out the left and right side. The rear end and the front are solid, so you can get crushed if it's moving. You can also climb (clipping again) up the front to the roof, and climb the back out the same way.

Bottom line: R* never intended this to be something we can make use of.

Would be cool if we could store the EMP device inside our own Insurgents. Pretty lights.

You just have to hit the blades. And it works on any helicopter.

Just got a PS4 a few days ago and I'm still getting used to the differences. Had a few quick questions.

Do the Dodo & Kracken spawn naturally on the map anywhere in online or do I just have to buy them?

On PS3 when shooting on foot & holding the aim button (L2) I was able to quick switch between enemies by flicking the right stick but it doesn't seem to be doing it. Did they change that? Or maybe it's a setting I haven't found like being able to move while zoomed with the sniper?

One of my favorite places to hide out a bounty was in the FIB building that you could get in by parachuting through the window. I tried a few times last night but the same window panel that you could just pass through on PS3 seemed like a solid window & I just bounced off. Anyone had luck with this on PS4?

I believe you must buy them. I do remember seeing the Kraken in the Boat shop website.

Welcome to the club :)

in OFFLINE mode go to settings and adjust your aim assist to "gta classic" o.s.l.t. this will change ONLINE too. And that walk when zoomed sniper is somewhere over there too

good luck

The Dodo is if the Mammatus can float, and costs half a million on Elitas. The Kraken is a submarine... that costs 1.35 million on Dock Tease. Both cannot be found in the wild, but there are chances for submarines to spawn in stead of boats.

You are required to transfer from last gen to gain access to these, alongside the Marshall monster truck.

I wouldn't get the Dodo, really, with the Hydras in the sky..

But the Kraken?

Only a hacker can get you if you go deep enough.

Anyone tried lowering their lowriders? (shooting the centre of the wheels method)
Mine's low enough. The bottom of the car scratches if I put it in any leaning position, or the low setting on a hill.

Lowered my custom faction. I have the basic hydraulics. When the car was raised it just looked stock. Certainly a little slidier but struggled to drive onto a kerb - rear wheels just spun. I think the faction model is lower to the ground than it looks because I couldnt actually see any contact yet sparks. Also the door scraped when it was open

to be sure.... record and use the editor to adjust the camera for the best view and use slo-mo

I open my passenger door, and drive full speed into people. Players or NPCs, never gets old.

naaah, i want to have them as hood ornaments so head on :p
