I think the release of custom content is killing the game more than making it better.

I'd toss wads of cash to me telly if them blokes would make an option to search R* made content only instead of the general consensus.

The only complaint I've had recently was the small freeze up I get every time I press down twice to make the mini-map... well, bigger. It never happened before the LTS update, but now it has been doing it every time and it's the most annoying thing. As someone who likes to view the bigger map frequently (especially in a public lobby), it makes online almost unplayable for me.

Glad I'm not the only one having this issue.

There are a lot of things I hate about racing in this game:

- Custom vehicles activated.
- Slipstream on.
- The inability to filter these out when choosing to join a race.
- Absurd tracks with a huge amount of jumps designed for the sole purpose of making the race a crashing fest.
- People who feel the need to absolutely 🤬 wait until the lobby is full to launch a race.
- And of course, people who spin you out at the beginning of a race.

Oh, and I also despite Team Deathmatch games where the level of players is uneven, and custom weapons are on, ending up with being 2 guys with normal pistols against 3 guys with rocket launchers. Well done, Rockstar.

I also hate this. except slipstream

It's near impossible these days to join a deathmatch that isn't 1,000,000,000 GTA$ + RP Hacks!!!! and traps you in a little box while 1 person escapes to get a massive stash of weapons and kill everyone. Although those deathmatches can be good money-makers if you manage to escape first and get the weapons.

I have played some decent user-made DM's though, most notably one inside the FIB building, that was cool. It's just a shame that the glitched interior DM's are some of the most fun, but also the ones R* choose to ignore.

Slipstream is fuel for spinning out the car up front.
Yeah, me and a friend played a race of his that went from paleto bay to the stadium and kept slipstreaming and then spinning each other and kept going, and that went on for a good 10-20 minutes

Really annoying when you go for a quick job as you don't know its a trap match til you join, then you get a bad sport for leaving an active lobby. I just do missions and auto invite

That honestly sounds too long and generally enjoyable, though maybe I'm just being an old man about it.

Heh, I'd much rather get 'bad sport' point/reputation than dealing with lobbies like those. Very small price to pay compared to the other option. Gross!

If anyone can fire his copy of GTA V, preferrably in Online mode, I would greatly appreciated. I've been running into some problem I think it is a bug on my DS3. Whenever I started moving around the analog sticks and clicking them randomly, my phone comes up, my minimap gets bigger, the wheel menu for weapons comes up as well, and it's getting INCREDIBLY annoying. Yesterday I lost a team Deathmatch because my wheel menu kept coming up whenever I tried to get into stealth position by clicking L3 (left analog).

I want to know if this happens to somebody else. Otherwise, I will have to open my controller and see what do I find, perhaps clean it at least.

Why the hell do races like "JUMPS JUMPS JUMPS" (Self-explanatory and takes place on a highway) and "The Commute" (Race around San Andreas on the highway. Boring as hell) get verified?! They are some of the worst player-created races in the game!

Also, Rockstar needs to abandon the vehicle classes altogether in favor of a performance point system. Case in point: The Pegassi Zentorno being overpowered in the Super class, the Elegy RH8 is able to keep up with some super cars, and the FUTO should not be in the Sports class at all.

Shame these are going to be around forever.

No, seriously - nothing will change the minds players like this. They're everywhere and they're completely unavoidable unless you decide to only race with friends.

I also like to switch the expanded radar from time to time. It can be a life saver in public lobbies because you are able to see more of the map and where players are.

Also, if you're into racing, frequently checking the expanded radar or even the leaderboard creates lag and makes your lap times worse.

That sounds close to the reason why I replaced my once trusty blue DS3 with this white one. One day it just started to go straight up bonkers. I took it apart to see if anything came loose, and nothin'. Looked online, did a few 'tricks' and 'tights', and ended up with no solution.

Sucked it up, bought a new controller, and playing this one's cards out to the end just like the blue one. I'd recommend simply doing that to save you time.

A performance system would be better. Or put the Elegy in Super class as it has the performance of a super car ant the GT-R is a super car in real life

Well it was more 5 minutes. THe 20 minute one was a race across the whole map

Also I agree about the stupid races, me and a few friends have just been making mock WRC rallies on GTAV and using our SULTANS

There's a +Quote button for a reason. Use it, you might like it.

I hope that's not the case. I'm going to take it apart right now, see what I find.

My DS3 is starting to go the same way. Poor little thing has been abused. :(

This one has been with me since mid 2012 or 2011 (I don't recall exactly).

Done with opening it up and look what I found:

(That's hair, if you can't tell from the pictures, along with dirt. Probably my pets' hair, that crap gets everywhere in the house.)

Funny how my PS2 controller stood the test of time, while my DS3's Start button has faded away.

The problem is practically gone (the phone came up only once in 1 minute of testing). You don't know how much trouble I went through to get the DS3 built back. :banghead:

The Commute is a R* created race, but I get what you mean... most of the R* verified races are actually pretty good, though.

No no no no no. Some cars definitely need to have their classes changed (Elegy to Super class and Sultan to Sedan class for example), but IMO the concept of a performance point system is dumb in general. The current system works well and doesn't really need any drastic overhauls, so why replace it with a system that is both needlessly complicated and probably even more broken that the current one?

Also, I wouldn't call the Zentorno overpowered at all, really. It's the fastest car, yeah, but it's not so much faster that you absolutely cannot win a race without one. The Elegy is definitely overpowered since you really do need at the very least a Feltzer to keep up (and it's a free car so it really shouldn't stay at the top of a class), but the Zentorno only really discounts the Voltic, Vacca and Bullet, and they were already outclassed by most other supercars for the most part.

Me and a cool random were playing around with semi trucks in that really northern town (I wanna say Paleto Bay but I'm not sure) and I somehow glitched inside of one...

I couldn't get out. I had to kill myself. My PS3 froze a minute or two after that...

The Futo is not that bad. I've had some success with it.

Can't wait until I'm running GTA Online at 60 FPS on PC playing with 29 other people, embracing my ENB series graphics and replacing every car in the game with real cars ported over from Forza and the like. I think that lemon company IGN are providing gameplay or something tomorrow on the updated next gen version, yey.

You mean an actual character creator? lol.

I wanna be able to make a fat character.
Right? It doesn't have to be as complicated as Skyrim's character creator - just give us a few preset body builds, and whatever else most character creation menus have without getting too complex.
Also, a few option on our character's walking style - I don't like how characters walk, though it's something I can put up with.

Honestly, when I first fired up GTA Online I wanted to make my character look like Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop. Thanks for killing my hype, R*. :grumpy:
